Errrm... probably Avril for me. Lyrics were way to simple though. Though there were some parts of the song I liked.

Agreed. Recently two of my friends have watched it and didn't like it :S I really can't see why... genius film. I can't remember if I posted this as I watched last week but anyway The Diving Bell and the Butterfly Fantastic film... Jean-Do was such an interesting character. Highly amusing at times to the extent that it was almost too lighthearted, considering the subject matter, but still 9 / 10

UCAS high five!! I gots me 2nd offer yesterday, my backup, Leicester, ABB. And the best part, which I didn't realise, is that they accept general studies!!! Not sure how they can have such easy requirements and still get in teh top ten for English in league tables. i ain't complaining. And Im all set to have the most dull weekend of my life. Absolutely nothing planned. Sigh...

I quite enjoyed Santana after listening the whole way through. Nonehtless, I've always loved that Maximum the hormone song and prefer it to santana, so my vote it has.
-
Sigur Ros for me as well. Though I enjoyed the first song as well... haven't heard a bad song in this contest yet! I do think there are better SR songs though

N-E Culture Club - Lost In Translation 11th Jan
dan-likes-trees replied to jayseven's topic in General Chit Chat
Ah sweet, that makes two of us. Id be vaguely interested in both, although Id probably only read the books if they were ones I was interested in anyway, which frankly is not often. To be honest a book club is less likely to fly, I mean there isn't even a 'rate the last book you read' thread or whatever on here. And an idea for the Movie club - if you picked one that was set to be on film4 or general TV in the week then people wouldn't have to go out of their way to buy / acquire it. -
Meh, just delete each thread once voting finishes. Sorted.
-
Both not bad, in fact it was the first time I've heard the Epic one. Quite good. Epic gets my vote

Im gonna go with Train. Though that Zep song was pretty goood, tough choice. By the way, three things: - Do you reckon we should just skip the rounds which include our own nominations? - Whats gonna happen when theres a tie? - This is going to take ages you know :P Like, months. Could have 2 matches going at once maybe? Just a thought.
-
Nah just use this song Yeh well, someone had to do it

Heh, know how that feels. Crushing though, my teacher read through my weekends work this morning and was... less than impressed... gah. UEA, English lit, quite chuffed Was my favourite place which I looked around (though it's all very concrete & grey). Conditional AAB though, which I shooouuld be able to get but myeah, hard work will be needed.

Ahh im well late to the party, crazy few pages. Anyways, sounds like you handled it well, good on ya. Seems like leaving it is the best thing now, you can get on with your life. In some ways it seems like this girl, or the guy, were trying to provoke some sort of reaction out of you, so just leave it, don't give them one. Sounds like the worst is over now, things are sure to improve from here on out (touch wood)

Last night I went round a friends for some 4 player local. Did almost exactly that. Took about 4 hours for that first campaign. It's far more fun with Advanced IMO, though everyone kept complaining about the amount of times we had to redo bits so we ended up toning it down. Then we rocketed through the other 2 campaigns on easy and a third on normal, doing a most kills contest (I was 2nd each time, gah). They took literally 30 minutes each. Nice touch: In the credits it says 'In Memory of' followed by the name of anyone who died before the extraction. Thing is, now that I've had a solid night of this game, I don't feel particularly inclined to play any more :S

Im loving the amount of Tegan and Sara love on this forum Noone I knew had heard of them. I've introduced their stuff to just about all of my friends now though, spreading the love. The Con is so amazing I have the problem of only one song per artist on my ipod, but that's because mines a 4gb'er so I can't fit enough I often have one obscure album track noones heard of as opposed to a single mind, which confuses people flicking through my songs :P I rediscovered Hot Chip again this week. Didn't even realise Id bought Made in the Dark, faaantastic.

Haha, sadly we were in Paris at the time so it had to be done. Had I been in charge of the AR though, it would have been a whole different story.

The great weight debate eh. Im about 5'10 but haven't weighed myself in ages. I suspect I'm extremely light though, far too skinny. So much os that, for a while about a month ago I was eating two lunches every day to try and put on weight. Didn't work.

I got back from a weekend away in Paris with 5 friends this morning, t'was vair fun Highlights of the trip: Louvre - Was good, vast place. Went abit late and at the end had to rush over to the other side to look at one room, which turned out to be shut. Bad moods followed. Pompidou - I loved it Really interesting and varied stuff, even if some was the sort of is-it-art modern art. Could have spent a whole day there Crepes - I pretty much lived off crepes whilst there. They taste so good!! Mad Tourist Dash - We spent a couple of hours cramming as many attractions as possible. Got Arc de Triomphe and Notre Dame amongst others Eiffel Tower - We were intending to be done with it in an hour but we were up there a good 4 hours. Throwing paper planes off the top = epic win. They flew so far!! As I was with 2 photography students, and 3 trigger happy girls, we now have almost a thousand photos to sift through. No exaggeration. Still, they seem quite goood... Weird spooning that i dont recall happening: The end.

Fair point. If they can sprint then they should really be able to climb and all that. And yeh that's always annoying. It's like their all set in a parallel universe where zombie films don't exist. Hence the great Shaun quote, 'The Zed-Word. Don't say it!' Mid-season reviews Battlestar Galactica S1 - 9 / 10 Awesomeness Heroes Season 3 - 7 / 10 Im losing interest Desperate Housewives s5 - 8/10 Guilty pleasure Top Gear - 8 / 10 - Amusing enough
