Correct, and yeah they've moved it So there's promise that they aren't so keen on killing it. Got it wrong on my last post though, it's moved to 26th June not July... quite close! In other awesome news, Katee Sackhoff (Starbuck from Battlestar) has been cast as a CTU person in the next season of 24 Can't see her sticking to the desk though...

I loved that show! Watched the whole thing, pretty gutted when it was cancelled... good use of Riders on the Storm in one of the episodes and all, if I remember correctly. And Lol @ the smoke monster thing. Ron Moore's (ie 2004BSG creator) Virtuality pilot airs 26th July, make sure you check it out people ^.^ And Futurama fans, new series is on the way!! I would be really excited but alas I wasn't a huge fan of the latest films... meh via io9

Haha, glad you liked it Incidentally, I had a dream last night that I saw T&S live but my friend made me miss the encore... despite it only being a dream Im still angry at her. Well that sounded lame. Yarr, it's a good'un. More a fan of their self titled album myself, Daft Punk is Playign at My House + Movement < 3 Manners is my one of my albums of the year thus far. Little Secrets and To Kingdom Come are highlights for me.

The Squid and the Whale Supurb story of a divorce splitting up a family. Great acting, especially liked the relationship with the father the older son... good choice of music as well, liked the cover of Hey You Just a really realistic and well written piece. 9 / 10 Hostel Not a fan... wasn't the gorefest I was anticipating, more of a black comedy to me... which is potentially a bad thing as the people I was watching it with were appalled by it. Anyways, thought it was a bit crap. 5 / 10

Pretty sure I'm gonna be saying this next week. If it's any consolation half of my facebook is filled with statuses saying how bad C4 went for them "core 4 just bent me over a desk and raped me. til i bled." for instance

Ultimate win. Found out that the guy I voted for in the general elections is 1 - Called Moses 2 - Lives on the road next to mine 3 - Was in Octopussy The man is my new hero

Just got back, voted for a guy called Moses. Lib Dem for the locals, Labour for the European.

You should try biology. As I say, all it is is a contest to see who can rememebr the most of hundreds of useless facts. But yeah agreed... closed text exams = largely stupid. I've barely started learning quotes as well :S the plan is, John Clare quotes tomorrow, Hamlet quotes Thursday, War synoptic quotes Friday. Not convinced Im gonna pull this off though. Im stressin'.

Urrgghh frak this. Finished my art but next week I have 3 3 hour exams, 2 English and biology, which I need A's in to get into uni... feeling like I'll never be able to remember enough of biology, (why did I choose an A level that revolves around memorising hundreds of useless facts?) and I find revising English impossible. 8 days and I'll be free of any work until October... just hope I can pull it off :S

Im quite hopeful about how the whole thing will pan out... although it seems like such a huge leap from current tech (eyetoy and suchlike) that I'm not ready to believe they'll pull it off... Like someone said, lack of movement, walking, running, in games is an obvious problem, possibly rectified by just having like a nunchuck for one hand? Though that would kind of defeat the point.. And development costs for these games would be ridiculous. And I could see Milo just turning into a good version of those crappy chatbot things you get on t'internet... like many have said, it seemed very staged - maybe the tech worked but milo was programmed to be able to respond to the things the actress was going to say and do nicely.

Avatar Yaaay Chuck! Simple, nice design, slight border, liking the whole cards thing. 8 / 10 Sig Again it's good and pretty, though I don't think the fonts match that well. That and I don't much care for Blaire 7 / 10 -
Haha, being a Murakami fan I recommended that to my girlfriend as she needed books to do with running for her Art course, she wasn't a fan, said he just rambled on and on... I might give it a go anyway though, I love the man. Yeah not sure yet, as you say in year one there isn't much choice... Semester One modules are just a general English language one and a general prose introduction, looking at Mrs Dalloway, Great Expectations and others that I hadn't heard of but sound quite interesting like The Fire Next Time by James Baldwin. Then there's Poetry and Medieval lit in Semester 2. And yup the library seemed pretty amazing from what I saw on the open day ^.^ Did you do English lit as well then? Which uni did you go to?

That one was a bit brilliant. I seem to remember being less rubbish at it than I am at this films one... I'll refrain from trying again though, too addictive. Up to a still not that impressive 20 on the films... a few suddenly clciked which are stupidly easy. -

I hate you for posting this. Not what I need with A levels next week. On a rather poathetic 13 thus far, I can do better -
Urgh... I've spent most of my evening thus far playing Cube Field on facebook... by far the most irritating / addictive / awesome game I've played in a while. I was top of my friends league until a couple of hours ago, gah! 650000 if anyone has it In other news my driving licence came in the post at last No more taking the passport to clubs for me!

I had one once... lol-trees Wasn't too bad but overall I just couldn't be bothered to keep it up. Hard to get anyone but friends to read aswell.

Haha yeah I agree, I much prefer post 1900 writing... which perhaps isn't ideal for someone doing English lit but Leeds has a huge choice of modules so should be able to lean toward more modern stuff.. So yeah doing English lit at Leeds, any book recommendations would be great! Thanks I only threw together my list this morning to avoid revision so it's definitely open to suggestions.

Haha, might take your word(s) for it... what didn't you like about em, out of interest? And yeh should be farly easy. Similarly on a one and a half holiday to Greece I got through five so a similar rate. And yeah Im looking forward to 100 years of Solitude ^.^ Yeah, I'm actually halfway through Ghostwritten, it's really good... only problem is that because of the structure, what with the 9 short stories, they're far too good stopping points... got distracted by the Petersburg story and haven't gone back to it yet, really should. And haha yeah I've read a few Murakamis, if it's anything like those it should be pretty mad

Fight Club's a cracker... never finished Brave New World for some reason, I need to... I'm planning on having a massive summer of reading once my exams finish, so that I don't end up at uni doing English having barely read anything... Gonna aim for 20ish books, t'will be a challange! In Fact
