No, that's how Rogue from X-men works. Absorbing Man can transform his body into whatever material he comes into contact with. See in the film when his hand became metal and stuff. Wiki It says he can absorb traits of superhumans, but that's not gaining their powers. I think if he touched Thing, he'd turn all orange and rocky, but if he touched Storm, he wouldn't be able to control the weather... IIRC. -----

I'm listening to The Reminder by Feist, while loving and not being to understand why it's so good. But it looks way better full size. I love how I look like a crazed lesbian woman in this picture. But my hair/face is almost exactly like that.

I just find most of Kate Bush's stuff very dated, and while I admit she pioneered the acceptance of "weird women", I think Tori Amos has a stronger voice in many of her songs, and her lyrics are usually more deep, with much more to discover in each song. Portishead's new video for their second single, "The Rip" I literally love this video. Entrancing and beautiful, especially when that beat kicks in in the last third of the song.

Catcher In The Rye IS amazing...

Yeah, she's funny. I still prefer Tori Amos though. She's like a better Kate Bush.

Some shite cars racing, to the cliched Queen song. Think it's Don't Stop Me Now. It was cliched a few years ago, it still is.

From "Pagan Poetry" by Björk Though ordinarily, most out of the ordinary piercings freak me out, that back one, and the fact it's pearls make it really beautiful.

Hulk gets far too much shit, simply because it tried to be a bit different. Sure as a comic film, it's not typical family pleasing fare, and it's not an amazing normal film, but it actually is visually intriguing, and the explanation behind everything is good. I liked the fact there wasn't a real villain, except Absorbing Man (yes, that's who it was). I think it took a shit comic to turn into a film and did well with it. Hulk's crap anyway. I however really enjoyed Iron Man, possibly because it was so close to the comics. Spider-Man is ruined by the fact Tobey Maguire isn't Peter Parker at all. He's like some alternate reality Spidey, where he's realy drab and dull, with no personality.

I could actually love the looks of that.

You can tell she prank calls her family and friends, telling them the liklihood that they'll be fatally wounded in the next 2 weeks.

My family and friends and I often reliase we know what the other is thinking due to the great and lasting relationships we have. We didn't need a spirit guide to connect us. I feel I have an eduated opinion, as I was once properly religious, believing in god etc, but when I visisted the war graves in Ypres, that just went away. I though by carrying some silver cross, that would make the uncountable names on those walls and the sea of cream graves all ok, but it didn't. It made it worse. My realisation of the fact that God doesn't exist was pretty natural, since it's pretty obvious. I think faith is great, but I hate all this "god" stuff. I'd prefer to have a deity that was reflection of my identity, rather than some ambiguous prescence. Like some earth spirit, or something.

I know! My friend's sister's friend is the daughter of my English teacher, and apparently he screamed at how hard the exam was, so the grade boundaries will hopefully be lowered. I hated the huge lines that booklet had too! My normally huge/messy writing just became out of control in this exam. Like you said, massive writing an spacing...like 9 words on a line average. ---- Also, yes, what the fuck is 4 essays in 1 hour 30 for Modern Studies?! Fucking retarded. Surely 2 GOOD ones is preferable? Or at least just 3?

Because that's made-up? You've just effectively said; "A cow got up on it's hind legs and began to transform into a big blue fish, before it's head turned into a meagphone, which began to blare out the hits of The Ronettes. How can this be wrong?" Because it goes against everything we know...and is just made up... Believe in SOMETHING otherworldy fine, have faith that it will look after you in death, cool, I totally respect that, but letting a book of prose fiction rule your life is just wrong. It's not magic, the bible. It was written by people out of desperation.

You'd be correct.

Crack It's ok. That Data song is cool, if a little too long. My favourite is probably Chewy Chocolate Cookies. I listened to their normal stuff on MySpace. I love their name too.

Why no child is safe from the sinister cult of emo!!111
Paj! replied to BlueStar's topic in General Chit Chat
I used to ( still am by younger people at my school ) get called an emo, but people actually do know i'm not one, so I'm over it. I just had/have slightly emo-ish hair, relative to everyone else, whose afraid to actually have different hair. Don't worry, I hate that pure emo hair too, that flat curtain over you face, i have like matty black hair everywhere and sometimes in my eyes = emo at my school. I've never cut myself ( I value life too much/had no need to ) and hate emo music. However, I always disliked the persecution of them. I've never had to interact with a stereotypical one however, maybe i'd hate them. ---- @ Religion; I can think for myself, without referring to a book of short stories. If I need spiritual guidance, I look to myself whilst breathing in the fresh air from the natural land around me. "He who looks outside dreams, he who looks inside awakens." - Jung (IIRC) Says it all really. -
Yeah, naturally, really red fiery hair, coupled with a good face is actually stunning. Ginger usually isn't, but never dimiss it. Often when people dye their hair red/ginger, it looks good (if they don't have a ginger complexion naturally). (See; Tori Amos, Ashlee Simpson etc) Black/Dark Brown/That rare red > Brunette > Blonde/Ginger for me. But Other, if done well pwns them all.

Best episode this series, but i'm really sick of Parkman/Molly. At least she did something worthwhile this episode. Love the mimic girl. I want her power. Cliched dialogue though...I cringed when she was talking to her friend about her dreams outside the restaurant. *sighs*

Did English Higher today...I'm over doing obviously bad in both essays, but mainly the Drama one. I had " " by Sugarcubes in my head in the exam today, but it's Bjork so thats means it was a good thing.

Quoted for truth. That's why the statement "The world doesn't revolve around you" is a complete lie. It totally does. Since the world only exists as "your world", and your world always revolves around you, therefore the world does revolve around you, or more accurately me.
