I've never reached the last question of a close reading paper (the comapring both articles question), because I spend so long thinking about crap. Highers really fuck you with time constraints. I seriously don't know how I'll finish all of the Geography or Modern Studies papers...

I agree, except I love Heart Of Darkness when analysed. On first reading you get the gist, but under proper analysis, the whole class screamed at how good it was. My aunt said recording yourself saying the things you need to learn is a good idea, but I actually cringe everytime I hear my voice. In my head my voice is deeper, and my real voice just sounds like some diseased mongo. I am. I'm good at those opinion questions...but of course we don't get them anymore...

To be fair, you exaggerate anyone vaguely non-cliche that's becoming big. It's not obviously amazing. I like it, though. I think it's too un-catchy to get anywhere real on the charts, though it'd be good to see something different getting noticed.

I have a life knowing all possible quotes for Heart Of Darkness, since I actually love that book. So, i'm ok for that... Tempest I know a little about..and Chauser = I'm fucked. I might actually learn a poem instead of one of them... EDIT: Calza I agree on Gegoraphy. I keep getting 50% or below, and it's usually cause i'm crap at physical stuff.

Well my school annoyingly mixes Scottish and English exams. Instead of Standard Grades last year, I took GCSE's. This year, I'm doing both Highers and AS levels, meaning I stay on another year before going on to further education. And yeah, I was think today, and I realised that Art is the only thing I enjoy at school, and even then, not that much (just the lessons I don't like, I still love actually doing art). I won the 6ths (thats my year name, I think thats like S5 or something for normal people) Design and Technology prize, which I get at the big fancy end of school "exhibition". Last time I won a prize that I got at Exhibition was for English back in P6! (I'm crap at English now/I'm lazy) That was slightly off-topic, but yeah.

On HCrealms, were Chair got the idea of brining it over here, it's massive (has it's own subforum bit), and in the only game i'm currently in, the mod auto-kills you if you don't send in targets 2 nights in a row, even if you dont want to do anything that night. (You still have to say you wont do anything) Good system i think.

I've finished this years art course, but suring it I did a study of a sheep skull. I wanted a kind of graphic art effect of blood dripping from under the image, but when I asked If I could go and get a bag of blood from the butchers, the teacher screamed and threw a pallette knife at me. / She said "No." --- If I wasn't so scared of veins/my own blood, i'd use it in art, for a joke.

Just to add to the off-topic topic of friendship and stuff; I have great friends, but I do value being alone. However, I think way too much about life/universe (I think I have unwanted existentialist tendencies), and I think if I didn't have friends or even plain distractions like the net, i'd just go mad and start painting prophecies on the walls in blood. No joke.

Closer - 8/10 Very good, and pretty depressing in a way. Not cliched, which was good. ALSO! Never realised that the songs titles "Lying Is The Most Fun A Girl Can Have Without Taking Her Clothes Off" and "But It's Better If You Do" by Panic At The Disco were quotes from Natalie Portman, who was great here. The "twist" at the end was very poignant, and further blurred the 4 characters, and whether they were "good" or "bad", as it were.

FUCK! English Higher in 2 days! I haven't even learnt half the stuff I need. I know Heart Of Darkness and loads of quotes etc... Tempest I need to revise more, and Franklin's Tale I know shit all of. I'm going to fail. I got 2 A*'s at GCSE, but to be honest, that was some kind of miracle.

Yeah they own you when you see them. The cross is their bag, and it looks cool all lit up on stage, as it changes to the music. I also like when people de-sanctify the cross. Since a cross isn't in itself "holy".

Yeah, not a very good episode. Why doesn't Susan/Mike just get over drugs and do something about it? Bree/Andrew. Yeah, fine, it makes sense. That was awful, the way Gabby was written. Not even TRYING to sound innocent... Next episode looks pretty cool!
