    Iron Man

I heard War Machine was his second hand man, but wasn't in the armour this movie. I thought Iron Monger was the villain....

    Iron Man

Black Widow should be in 2, too. Or Spider-Woman for the nostalgic lols, but they'd never get the rights from the Spide film crew.

    Iron Man

Not read anything by him since New-X-Men, which I loved. Have you read Arkham Asylum? Get the edition with the original script included in the back, his notes really help understand the story, and the original ideas that were left out. ---- Also, yeah...I kinda hate how Iron Man has to fight wither other "Iron" people or magicians.

    Iron Man

Philanthopist businessmen, dual lives (though Iron Man and Tony and known to be one and the same now IIRC), pooled resoures into perfecting the ultimate battlesuit/crime fighting weapons, both are ridiculously powerful (Batman is famously a bit too good at fighting, while Iron Man seems to have randomly invented the world greatest weapon), both have terrible, short-lived relationships with women, often women whose allegiance lies on the other side of the law, black hair (lol). Whatever, it was throwaway comment, I just noticed the similarities. Big difference if the fact Batman has used Sidekicks virtually all his history, and haspossibly the best Rogue's gallery in comics, whereas Iron Man's enemies are utterly forgettable. I prefer the dark atmosphere of Batman (comics). I recommend everyone pick up Arkham Asylum, the graphic novel. Beautiful and frighteningly illustrated and written, by Dave McKean and reknowned Grant Morrisson respectively.

    Iron Man

Well yeah, but I've never found him interesting. It's the same origin as Batman (basically) only far less interesting since Iron Man has like an invincible exoskeleton packed full of big-ass missiles and shit. At least Batman has a life being slightly relatable.
  6. Bought; Third - Portishead Crystal Castles - Crystal Castles 4-Track Demos - PJ Harvey Currently listening to PJ. Great, a cool re-take of the album Rid Of Me. Some songs sound better in demo form, and the previously unreleased tracks are great.

    Iron Man

Iron Man has never really interested me in the comics, but the film DOES look watchable. Or at least more comic accurate than the Spider-Man films.
  8. I don't really get Hot Chip. They make ok music, but it's nothing at all worth the praise they get. Akin to Radiohead, but at least Radiohead are quite good.
  9. Loved that film. It was so dreamy and cool. Only unbelievable bit is...
  10. Yeah, as Haggis said, Orbit produced Ray Of Light = An amazing album of intelligent music.
  11. When I first heard Bjork was working with Timbaland my heart cried a little (this was liek a year and a hlf ago), but he wasn't as omnipresent back then. He did great work with her, on 2 tracks. They sound totally unique, and he's not making innane comments like 'Break down", 'YEAH" or "ooh, that's right!" throughout her songs.
  12. Yeah, it's crap, basically. If Confessions equalled a 10, Hard Candy is 4. It's Pop, but with really annoyingly prevalent hip-hop beats. She's usually good at choosing producers so that she'll sound fairly unique, but choosing the "Timba/er" crew is stupid, since they rape everyones music nowadays. As I said, 4 minutes is probably the best track on the album, or the Devil one. But neither are hardly the best Madonna is capable of. In the run up to HC I'd been relistening to Madonna a lot. I really love her Erotica days, and the album Erotica. The song Justify My Love (look up the controversial video) admittedly just before Erotica is still great.
  13. Madonna's best album will always be : Ray Of Light. After having Bjork write her a song on her album Bedtime Stories, she went down the sparse electronica/ethereal route, to critical acclaim, and it's a great record. The follow-up, Music is also good, but a bit more dancey and mainstream. American Life is a favourite of mine too, and my first Madonna album. It's less packed with hits, but still a good, mature work. I agree that the original vid for American Life is so much better than the rushed shite she put out instead. Good message that I support too. Confessions On A Dancefloor was a radical departure, but it's still very good. I DL'd Hard Candy today, and unsurprisingly (I decided I hated it the day I saw the album cover), it;s mostly awful. After first listen, only good tracks are; 4 Minutes, Devil Wouldn't Recognize You, Give It 2 Me and She's Not Me. It saddens me to think that someone capable of making good music that doesnt simply cater to the masses tastes has gone to becoming a desperate case of trying to please the younger generation.
  14. Hmmmm...I don't really see the appeal of being beaten viciously at a gig. I suppose that makes me a "fucktard" then...
  15. I actually hate English AS level. I've literally been staring at my first draft of "In what ways does J.D Salinger present Holden Caulfield as an innocent?" for 7 hours 11 minutes. I deleted one sentence and corrected one spelling mistake.
  16. I know, but blame Vicki, not me. "Best damn sexbot ever..."
  17. 40,699 tracks played, in just over a year. Slightly good.
  18. QFT. Who gives a shite whether a politician is christian or not? Why the fuck does that even come into ot?
  19. Alien/s FTW. : peace:
  20. Mine; | | | | | < As others have said, I hate some people being in my charts, like Avril and Kelly Clarkson, literally not listened to them in ages.
  21. Yeah it is. Last night (the night after it was on TV), chairdriver and I were contemplating watching a film ,and he suggested Sophie's Choice, and I definitely want him to see it as it's great, but we agreed that we were still carrying emotional baggage from DitD.
  22. I'm laughing. I love Sian Berry. Could be an RPG character. Boris ftw/Sian ftw.
  23. At least her story/power is mildly interesting. Claire seems to happen into some life-threatening situation every episode, just so she can show off her healing powers and narrowly avoid being caught by a stupidly always-there friend of hers. I have no idea why people like Hiro. He has an amazing power than he nevers seems to bother to use/it doesn't work. I got over the Petrelli's a long time ago. Mohinder's fake accent is bollocks, and just makes me laugh every time I hear it. Matt Parkman could be ok. He's had some ok storylines. Who else is there? It just seems like a really bad show that's designed to grab non-comic readers into superhero fare, which it has. I'm glad of that, as I love superhero comics and stuff, but that doesn't free it of it's mediocrity. I'm guessing there'll be more running to/away from Sylar interspersed with various headchoppingoffs this series, probably wih another mysterious organisation THAT WANTS TO KILL ALL THE HEROES!?! !!?! The mexican siblings look promising. But if that girls power is just to kill people i'm over them. Read comics and come up with better powers...
