^^ huh? I think so far, this series (all 3 episodes i've seen) show an improvement over series 3, both in entertainment and drama. I hate Gabrielle, she's a massai bitch, and her story is dull. Can't be bothered with Edie either.

Going to see On Friday night in Manchester. She's the one artist I really don't want to die having never seen live, as her music is not of this earth. I like his voice. And tbh, I think Rockstar is one of their less bland sounding songs. Chad Kroeger is best in Hero, with that other guy.

It's tricky. I mean we're saying "Stop that, China!" but then being all luvey-duvey for the Olympics. Sure, it should be about the sport, but the protestors have the right idea, as it's the perfect forum to get Tibet's plight more coverage. The church in the centre of town (I used to go to when I was religious) always has a mural painted, to do with current political issues, and this months one is a reinterpreatation of the famous photo from Tianenman square, only with a tibetan monk in place of the student, and an Olympic flag in the background. It was vandalised the other night by Chinese students, but instead of scribbling over it, they carefully blacked out the monk. That is a just a metaphor for China's censorship of the situation, and all the vandals have done is support the original message of the mural. FREE TIBET.

I think it's a 9/10 movie, at the very least. I suppose marks could be taken off if you felt it was too screwed up (which it isn't), but it's clever, original, and a beautiful film visually. The film techniques they use make the film tense and as you say gripping.

Got my hands on About To Happen, Siouxsie Sioux's latest single. I have the album of course, but I like having all the singles in physical form too. Also got The Devil by PJ Harvey, my favourite song off White Chalk, so I'm glad I'm able to own a physical single of it.

Fuck! I just had a cover i loved in my head, but now i've forgotten it. All of Strange Little Girls by Tori Amos. Covers should be re-imaginings or reinterpretations, which this cover album does completely. Ever heard Neil Young's Heart Of Gold as an E-fueled electro-rock anthem? Also all of Covers by Placebo. Daddy Cool.

I'm hardly one to talk though. ---------- I bought The Adventures Of Ghosthorse And Stillborn by CocoRosie today, and I love it. I DL'd (for free) "Enjoyed: A Tribute to Bjork's Post". It's mostly crap, but the It's Oh So Quiet and You've Been Flirting Again covers are ok.

------ E.R I think it's series 14 now? Yeah it is. I love E.R. I feel like I know lal the characters. Abby was annoying me with her unwillingnes to help, but hopefully her sprial into her life unravelling has ended. I'm interested to see what will happen between Sam and Abby, as Sam looked fucked off after Abby told everyone about her alcoholism. I don't get the weird love square between Gates, Sam, the chaplain and the Sam's BF. Parminder Nagra is always FTW, of course. 7/10 -
27 Dresses - 7/10 Really surprised me with how good it was. Very original for a rom-com too. It was funny, without being ridiculous. Very good. Put a smile on my face.

That song is better than loads of the stuff on her last album, especially Runaway and Innocence (blah). --- Coolness, props for Bat For Lashes, who is indeed just one woman. ---- Currently listening to The Rise And Fall Of Ziggy Stardust And The Spiders From Mars. Great album.

Hmm. I recently relistened to Under My Skin, and that just reminded me how much i'm indifferent to new Avril. I literally hate the opening of The Best Damn Thing. It just seems like she couldn't figure out how to open it properly. The rest is ok. I'm over the her new obsession with pink/cheerleading, even if it's not meant to be serious. Much better choice for a single (that isn't intended for music noobs); - Everything Back But You (imaginative chorus lyrics/idea) - I Can Do Better (Arguably best on album) - One of Those Girls - Contagious (A bit short, maybe) Just dissapointed by this albums handling. Girldfriend is good for a laugh, and When You're Gone/Hot are good, but still. Nobody's Home/ Don't Tell Me/ My Happy Ending Ftw.

Be Your Own Pet own. is my fave song off the album, and it was interestingly banned from the US version of the album, as it's about killing in school. Realistically I hate conservatives arses limiting art.

To be fair to you, I should have said "in my opinion" or whatever. Metal was only an example. It could have been pop, or whatever. I tried articulating this for about 5 minutes before giving up. I can't be arsed right now. It just seems like fully absorbing and loving Bjorks music is like some divine suggestion that you have better music taste. Before everyone screams, I couldn't think of a better way to say that, and tbh I don't think that....it's not better music taste...it's like, just maybe a more sensitive appreciation of music. Actually I have no idea. That just sounds stupid, which it is... Maybe because it seems to be "harder" to like Bjork? But the fact I do, and the fact that it's SO amazingly wonderful? I have no idea what I'm saying. Please ignore me. I feel (badly, as its utterly pretentious and elitist) that inside, i'm better than other people in terms of music taste for loving Bjork. It wasn't meant to be taken seriously. It just feels so far above anything else I've ever heard musically, and it's not a rock band record, so it hasn't got a humn connection. --- That was probably the worst arguement i've ever attempted. ------ Picked up Be Your Own Pet!- Get Awkward today, on a whim, and it's AMAZING! Seriously, awesome raw talent deserving more recognition!

I hate people not knowing the truth. It's like, even though I'll never truly understand/like heavy metal, people who say it's the best thing ever just arent credible. Bjork (and other alternative esque people) are universally praised by good critics for a reason. And once you know that reason, you can rest in peace. Homogenic is like a shard of my soul, flung into the human diemsion by a michievous djinn.
