I used to listen to the Russel Brand one, 2 years ago. Last podcast I got was a whole broadcast of a Liz Phair concert. More often than not, I'd much rather listen to my music than listen to talking. I don't use my iPod as much walking anymore (less walking I suppose, so less chance to enjoy podcasts).

It's hard to get to be successful in a lot of careers in life.

Strangely not. The place I REALLY wanted to go was direct application anyway, so if my UCAS had self-destructed, it wouldn't have been the end of the world. But yeah. Interview at Edinburgh on Wednesday. Might ask Letty how hers went later tonight...

Been listening to some lovely 80's choons. Enjoy The Silence by Depeche Mode, Blue Monday by New Order, Live To Tell by Madonna... Though it had some dire songs, there's a lot of classics.

I read this as "Pirate buys Gays".

DT Deadline day, so skived all other lessons. But then I had to go home to pick up my USB stick and come back. Then my mum phoned and demanded it be moved to Monday, since I technically get extra time in exams due to my undiagnosed (the school should have diagnosed it) dyslexia. I'm speshul. Also they owe me, after FORGETTING TO SEND OFF MY UCAS.

Can I just say I love the title of this thread. I could need to use this as the title/main hook of my next song. Congrats, too. :p

Thought that was great, and highlighted without OTT bias against God the obvious shit. Like, the father being megalomaniac. Anyone else disturbed by the final image, when she's crying? If you notice, she's pricking her fingers on barbed wire at the same time. EMO. I loved the bit in the cliub. "If Jesus were here, I wouldn't be dancing this way."

Unless I need peace and quiet, I like hearing other people's music on buses. Music taste tells me a bit about random strangers I'd know nothing else about.

A year out of date! The film was good, but not his biggest fan comics wise. Also, your sig never quite worked for me. 6.8/10 overall. -
I have to watch GMTV every morning, and they're wanking over her, saying she's going to be huge in America? What on earth is the fuss about...? Has my hearing been lost overnight? Or is she just a woman with a medioce "theater" voice?

Haggis, have you listened to The Teenagers? I mentioned them a few pages back (not at you, but in general). I think you might like them. I love speaking in songs, and their schtick is speaking, then a sung chorus. I love how it takes a poignant pause before the girl gets to tell her side of the story.

As everyone else says, it's easy to pick on the paperweight, but your arguement is flawed. Anything could be anything else.

The cinema chair works in (in morningside) is expensive too, but has stunning leather sofas to sit in, and a lovely olden-days charm about it. Morningside isn't really a "place", it's just an area of Edinburgh, near the edge.

Because most other things might be serving their own function. Paperweights are most effective because of the ratio of weight x size is excellent for it's purpose. As opposed to a lot of other stuff, which again, you might need to use. [/D.T]

The concept of "Footie" with all the overpaid players and screaming fans etc I don't get, but that doesn't mean I can't enjoy playing the actual game, sans fame and bloat. It's not like whenever anyone plays football, you're in the same situation as the professional players. I don't see how "professional" football and the basics of the game can even be compared/considered the same.

I thought as much actually (well that photo was the first to spring to mind, but It didn't really look like it without seeing the whole thing).

YES! Stunning. --- Also, was it just me that always loved the dark, sinister, surreal undercurrent that ran through shows like Powerpuff Girls and Dexters Lab? Cow & Chicken and Courage too, but more obviously.

Well no, but it wasn't a comedy. As the actual description says, it's a drama. Or is advertised that way...
