I genuinely lol'd.

I've been 6-7 times for 2-3 Week Holidays, since I was 6 years old, and so it's kinda always been there, and I still love it. We don't stay in the parks, and really, it's only me, my uncle and only recently my sister that actually LOVE the parks themselves (and they still have the "magic" for me.), the rest of my family prefer just dossing about. I just love how BIG everything is. Especially in contrast to the Paris one. You can't do any one park in full in one day, really. And Universal and Islands of Adventure stun too/equally. STRANGELY never ventured to Busch Gardens. We were meant to last time but never got round to it. But then we spend a lot of time travelling around the place itself - I have family history in Sarasota - so we've been there a few times. But yeah, a good portion of my good memories in life are from Florida. My favourite memory from last time was that the only place of all of the UK and American record shops I'd been to thus far, only the Virgin Megastore in Downtown Disney had StrangeLittleGirls by Tori Amos with the alternate cover! But yeah, recently, had so many "Florida Pangs" as my family call them. Random, out of the blue urges to go back.

Red Son is good, but not essential. The best I've read are mini-series (I'm not interested in the ongoing comics with him), and they're All-Star Superman (made by my favourite creative force in comics, and is generally the best damn thing. And also like a tenner for both volumes on Amazon) and Superman For All Seasons, which was unexpectedly great, with brilliant art by Tim Sale and good (!!) writing from the now-bad Jeph Loeb.

You also cotton on very easily if you have a genuine interest in reading things like X-Men or Batman and stuff. I did when I was 8 or so, and nowadays with the internet there to tell you everything that's ever gone on, you deal with it.
-
Told me nothing. I enjoyed seeing Natalie Portman's face, and some of the asgardian architecture is nice.

..Why? Only thing like I that I found hard was hearing what Leo's name was, because american accents sound bad when they try to say Dom Cobb. But yeah, from my memory only; Dom Cobb (or something like that), Ariadne (mentioned why that was memorable), Arthur, Eemes (or however your spell that), Robert Fischer, Syto/Saido, Browning etc.

Most sweets just give me a headace. I like tangy/fizzy/sour ones though.

Yes, but writing can be brilliant without a ridiculous amount of exposition like they used to have in the old days. Grant Morrison (my favourite writer) barely uses thought bubbles, and if he ever does use thought captions, its's because there's something great that he's going to tell you. I've never read Infinity Gauntlet, but it's never been highly recommended from my experience. You might actually like Grant Morrison's stuff Daft...very mind-bending and tackles like...every fucking interesting concept ever in a unique way. Try Doom Patrol.

It's just so inconvenient though, not having it. With the film threads, there's been new ways to talk about films, with new threads for big current films, and the film club thing. The same participation wouldn't be there for individual comic threads (as seen).

Saw her November 2007. The first concert after a much publicised one where she was drunk/bad, threw something at a booing audience member, then left after 3 songs. But she was note-perfect and on top-form! It's a shame I didn't know Frank before, cause I much prefer that to Back to Black now, and maybe would've appreciated the Frank songs more at the time.

...Stunning? A joke to include. I hope Petra is there. I bet you think this song is about you, don't you? You cunt. I dunno how they're going to sell this movie though.

Finally saw it. Semi-Spoilers Below I enjoyed it. It was like a really, REALLY cool film trapped in a worse film. I loved that it made you pay attention, that you had to find out things along the way etc. And the cgi/visuals were awesome. The hotel was my fave. And I loved the concept in essence. However, I was so distracted by the CONSTANT OVERUSE OF RANDOM PEOPLE WITH GUNS/MOTORBIKES/SNOWMOBILES BLARING that I had to mentally keep going back and checking I had it all right. What boring weapons for a dream, and such a bizarrely ignored aspect of the film? Esme or whatever the british guy with big lips' name was proved you could dream up weapons and stuff, so why not something more than just machine guns? Fair enough dragons with energy-blasting eyes would have lowered the tone, but SRSLY. It felt like the excessive gunfire/car chasing/explosions were put in there so it could "justify" being a summer blockbuster, and maybe keep those bored by it/lost completely entertained with FIRE, SHOOTING, OOH! When in fact, the film would have been better with less. The best action scene was clearly Joseph-Godon Levitt's in the hotel, and that's because it felt like it tied into what was already established by the film itself RE: The rules. Anyway. Ariadne was bad. Firstly her name is like a slap across the face for anyone who knows who Ariadne was in Myth. It's like calling an action hero Hercules or something, and pretending like it's a coincidence (But then maybe her name is so bluntly obvious to add to the theory that "maybe it was all a dream!") (On that note, I'm stung with reminders of the superior Blade Runner. ) Also, she's just never elaborated on as a character. Marion Cottilard, Non Je Ne Regrette Rien, Cillian Murphy and the Air Hostess were the best damn things. But yeah, I ENJOYED it. It just feels like it sacrificed coherence and overall a better finished product in favour of pleasing the masses with AWESUM ACTION when it only worked against them. Unless Nolan wanted that in the first place.

Have you watched it, Happenstance??! I've never heard of anyone not liking/appreciating it.
-
She has a really bad Scottish accent for acting, unfortunately. And so when she tried to act all cold and terminater-y, it just came across as awkward. Until she got a semblance of a life near the end.

A great TV show. RIP. Fuck you Dollhouse. You weren't worth this going. I'm still clapping at the fact Shirley Manson was randomly in it.

The Body was brilllllll. (And devastating) No music. Really long shots. Yes.

I watched (for the first time) the entirety of Buffy and Angel a few months ago. I loved them, but suprisingly preferred Angel in the end. Buffy was more...homely or something. Buffy and co. reacted to threats rather than actively try and stop the big evil things like Angel and co. did. Or at least that how I perceived it. I did love the Buffy characters, but as Happenstance said, considering I hated Angel in Buffy, I was more impressed by his show. Only faults were the the strange treatment of

I've never read it elloell. I'm just gonna investigate when and where to jump on and read from there. I know that when it was adjectiveless X-Men, it was quite a stunner. Chris Bachalo and Mike Carey's run was great, with an awesome team. Think that was just before it became Legacy. I'll report back. EDIT: Seems Rogue takes over as main character in 226.

I only ever get games for Birthdays or Christmas because the Wii has such a bare amount of games I actually want, or shit versions of games I want that are on PS3 and Xbox. I think I'll get this one for Christmas.

Yeah, it was cool, but then they'd be doing the same fight scenes with anyone they got for the part, so kinda inconsequential in the end. My comics this week: Uncanny X-Men X-Men Legacy World War Hulks: Wolverine vs. Captain America 2 World War Hulks: Spider-Man vs. Thor 2 Justice League of America Probably others too, but I can't remember. I think I was meant to read an issue of JSA before this JLA one but I'm over it.

I'm off to start my art-based filmmaking/directing/producing course, where you just try everything and eventually have som semblance of what aspects you like at the end of the degree. I can imagine myself being on the extras of DVDs (or Blu-Rays by then, or even the next thing after that) as the balding prosthetics guy on a shite sci-fi film, telling people how long x took to make etc. Or in some joke capacity of film. Like wardrobe manager. The scarred woman from September Issue constantly inspires me.

Seconded! One of my favourites. I'd actually want to see what the concensus on a mass watching of Inland Empire would be like...but Mulholland Drive is a good Lynchian start.

That video actually made me a little bit excited! More than I was before.
