Well I'm not really proclaiming her as such. I just really enjoy a lot of her stuff. But, as we all know, I enjoy a lot of Miley Cyrus' music... :p But no, I think she's pretty cool. And more worthwhile having around the "mainstream" than 90% of the current female pop singers. Even if she has mellowed a bit. For BONUS lols - Lil Kim's "official diss song" (lozl) for Nicki Minaj, with whom she's having a fight or something. A bit like "...". Though I love the beat. But that's cause I love the sample. *awkward silence when thinking about the lyrical content*

She's been gaining steam all year, featuring on countless tracks by her peers, more often than not stealing the entire song. She's gained such a rapid fanbase that people are now seeking out the songs she features on...why she's such a valuable commodity for other artists. (Interesting fact: One of the first verses she contributed since starting to get attention was to a , and it was shit. :P Luckily she went on to better things.) And obviously people have been taking note of her stunning part in Monster on Kanye's new album. She's shot to fame fairly quickly, and is definitely a talented rapper/MC/whatever she is. The media have dubbed her the "GaGa" of hip-hop, possibly due to her image (which I'd bet is a construct of the record label tbh) and her eccentricity. But yeah. People's thoughts on the most hyped female musician of the last year? I enjoy her debut album, but it's certainly a suprise...it's got a lot more middling, radio-friendly (relatively) tracks than I'd have thoughts. I wanted more than tbh. There are some stunning tracks though and it's all very well produced. HATEURZ Thoughts?

I've never met anyone that fits the stereotype other than visually (and even then not completely). I don't really see why it is seen as a negative though. I think it's interesting.

I don't get it. Worst music video I've seen recently (though I think she's heavily pregnant/it's not even a real single, so fair enough) : Kinda feels like seeing an older relative do something really cringe-worthy in public. I love the the insanely camp song itself though. :p

Yesterday I was given £20 cash and a £25 Amazon voucher (yessssss) from my half-aunt who I haven't seen in 10 years (!). Loving it. And Chair got me Bad Education on DVD (yes) and a Mandy Moore album (roflraptor).

I'm still like...crying and trying to contain my eyes from melting and seeping out from between my closed fingers. Have you ever had sex with a Pharoah? I love. And I love the reference to the South Park Fishsticks/dicks joke - didn't hear it until today. :p

I'm so full of regret. So many actions/events in/from my life are pregnant with regret. It often hits me really out of the blue months after/later. Then I do something stupid related to it... *vague/applies currently*

My sister got Miranda on DVD,she keeps going on about it. I preferred that actress in her minor role in Nighty Night.

*got it for Xmas* *isn't even finished listening through it* Oh mah gawd... Nicki Minaj runs it on Monster. A musical moment of 2010 for sure.

I'm an art lover (and a comic lover), but it just seems too much. I would pay for a commision/a sketch done for me at a convention (nowhere near that much though), but for something "impersonal" like that, I just can't see the justification in buying it over just printing it out. :p Obviously things have personal value etc blah stun yeah shut up

It was the Britney Spears perfume in Eddie's xmas gift post that threw me off, but then I figure to each their own. Nice to finally know the truth.

How much would that be though? I hate the concept of spending money.

No, it's a one-floor house, which was originally just a part of a much bigger house in the 18/1900 whatevers (I think). The old upstairs is now a seperate house on top of ours and there's random modern bits with flats attached to ours. So it has very large rooms, but not a lot of them. :P (as it was just the entrance and living room area of what was presumably a fancy house in the olden days)

Such a good haul for me this year. Like..too much stuff. I put it down to being the oldest of the 4 "family children", and the youngest being 6, so I think the mentality of "the children" getting more than the adults still applies to me. Which is good for me obvs. Not likely to last though... But yeah. Day's gone REALLY fast though...like what happened between 11.30 and 4.30? I don't understand. Started Epic Mickey, listened to Rihanna's new album (and was so stunned) and had the nicest meal ever. Though now my cousin got his remote control helicoptor stuck on the light at the top of the very high ceiling'd foyer, and I physically cant stand on the top of our shitty ladder. Like...my legs don't fit/it's so unstable and I can't risk my life for a shitty toy.

I realised today that I get a quite a lot for xmas. - GHD fancy hair straightners - Kanye West, Nicki Minaj, Rihanna and Die Antwoord's CD's - Inception, Twin Peaks Entire Season Gold Edition thing, Buffy Once More With Feeling dvd, Toy Story 3 etc - A nice shoulder bag with Marvel heroes on it (I chose it) - One of those hunter's flapper hats - 2 hoodies, one Superman, one nice and and thin hoodie, 2 t-shirts - A gorillapod tripod thing. I love. The one you wrap around pole and stuff. - A new crucifix, and two of those saint bracelets, to continue my religious iconography fad. Oh and a giant sparkly white Virgin Mary piggy bank. - Epic Mickey for Wii - Other stunning bits and bobs - Buffy calendar - Sweets - Playdough pizza maker (lozl. It was my secret santa from my mum it turns out, referencing my brush with anaphylaxis via Pizza earlier this year :p) - 1001 Movies To See Before You Die book - A Black Widow marvel universe figure. (I love! So random but I love since she's one of my stunnings) - And other minor things. Probably one of my best Xmases...got everything I asked for (just the Cd's and Twin Peaks) and so much else I'm stunned by.

The Santa Fallacy and its Hazardous Effects on the Minds of Youth
Paj! replied to Serebii's topic in General Chit Chat
Santa actually just came round to drop off my pressies. Sorry, Diageo. -
TBF if one acquired it via the net, a lot of outlets have is listed as The Party. I bought it off iTunes and only realised they'd named it wrong this year.

That is one of my favourites from The Fame Monster, but while that album is considerably better than The Fame, I'm just a bit sick of her. :/ I wish she were as good as she puts hersef across as. Still someone I want to see in the charts/around, but I hope she does something a little more genuinely avant-garde rather than just very normal pop music. ---

I'm almost waiting to see what they pull out the bag for a second before finalising my true opinion - I have a horrible feeling they may be a one-album wonder. Not sure why. Saw them live in 2007 with CSS before I bought the album, and they were AWESOME! Really really cool (IIRC).

I enjoy the legs. What were they like pre-customisation?

Hmm. Vote Lynch: Cube Six is a tricky one.

Oh yeah, I love dreams. So much. I don't have lucid dreams, but yeah. Big fan of my dreams. Anyone who thinks dreams don't have meaning can keep walking.

I'm a huge fan of comic books and films, so escapism into a constructed story and visual (whether fantastical or realistic) is important to me. It's interesting to think about though in a time when we're more able than ever to be plugged into the internet wherever we are, to "escape" whatever we're actually doing. Makes me think of that thread a while back about people who go on facebook on their phones while they're meant to be socialising with friends in real life.

We need to get all Poison Ivy up in their faces.

I would be sympathetic if this thread existing actully affected anyone's lives/time negatively. I always forget to search for the drunken thread. And I was under the influence of both substances and people. Please lock it though.
