  1. One-way mirrors? More believable than the comics.
  2. I started the Linkara videos. He's less excruciatingly awful in these videos than he is when we're forced to look at him/he's on show to the world. I enjoy a condensed version of the story...means I don't have to watch hundreds of probably SHIT episodes.
  3. I REALLY hope Sally Field is Aunt May. She's so appropriate. My favourite woman.
  4. Yeah, in Inception's case, I thought the exposition was done fairly well. Ellen Page seemed remarkably capable/unquestioning of the the concepts behind everything, but then I just assumed that was because it was set in some near future where that kind of technology isn't so "!!!". So that lack of explanation right there is an example of what Chair wanted more of. Letting the audience work stuff out. And frankly, I think without explanation, it would come off very badly. People would just be like "Why is Limbo there? Why can't they go into more dreams? Why can't they dream up dragons and monsters and stuff?". The explanations were done fine.
  5. Arrested Development. You'll never have appreciated it fully on one viewing. It's not possible. I've run through the whole series 4 times and was still picking up things last viewing. Most TV shows benefit from repeat viewings, and films that were hard to grasp first time round I suppose.
  6. I love the Ben Reilly costume. Let's take a short moment to appreciate it. One of the few keepers from the "90's costume revamp" every hero seemed to get. And it's arguably more famous as Spider-Girl's costume: I love "Stunning".
  7. Yeah, costume looks really good.
  8. Yeah. But then again I'd prefer the suit looked "good" on film, and just suspend my disbelief. We are watching Spider-Man after all.
  9. Let's finally put an end to BS.
  10. At least in Ultimate Spider-Man they deal with that fact. IIRC when his only costume (that as Happ said he got given and then modified slightly) gets ripped/damaged, he phones up the Wrestling Promoters pretending to be from a toy company in a really shite scheme to get them to give him another costume. Eventually Mary Jane ends up making the costumes and restitching them. At least I think that's how it goes.

I thought you'd fancy the vest. I prefer how the bit on the back is almost too big on the vest, like spilling out of the confines and lines we constrict words to.
  12. Well he can do anything if he tries hard enough. He can manipulate magnetic fields to a variety of stunning effects. He's Blazin.

Robyn.com. Her merchandise store. £15.00. I'm buying one. Good price for "band merch".
  14. Magneto's mother dies in the concentration camps (in the comics and the first movie IIRC. Literally the first scene.), so that scene might be set in WWII. And yes, I would pull off that hat so well.
  15. I was playing on the fact that what he said could be taken different ways, in an attempt to remind everyone that Darren Aronofsky is my love. Let's just deal with it and move on.
  16. I hate when you don't know how something works. I spent half an hour trying to draw something I liked, but always forgot how to get the line texture I liked cause it's realy hard to work out everything. Left the only thing I liked intact on the right.
  17. Why is Kat's incanca so big?
  18. I couldn't find a rubber/erase button as was outraged. I didn't look very hard though. I like it make anything look like it's from the pen of a stunner. But I'm not in the mood to do intricate things. May come back to it.

  20. Samurai reminds me of boring. / They did the same joke with Ninja Storm.

Robyn is the best "pop singer" of the decade. Body Talk is such a triumph. Let's just deal with it, everyone. *dead*
  22. I was aware.
  23. We definitely do - Wolverine 2 is being directed by Darren "Requiem For A Dream/The Fountain/The Wrestler/Black Swan" Aronofsky.
  24. I liked that Forever Red one. I wish was there another form of media for the general concept of Power Rangers to flourish better in. I mean the show is enjoyable in a nostalgic/means nothing/childhood reminiscence way, but it's atrocious on almost every level if you actually think about it. :p Wish there was a stunning comic/animated series/expanded universe.
  25. This can only end badly. The only "comic book hero" that I can imagine translating into real life would be someone like Punisher. Obviously less "beats EVERYONE else easily", but I'm suprised it hasn't happened more. In fact, I'm sure it has, for short periods of time, until the person inevitably is killed.
