  1. How surprising is Aston Villa sitting at 3rd of the league? I know they finished 7th last season, but still Haven't seen much of the Premier League this year but I keep track of the table and it's great to see City not on top
  2. "Directed and photographed by Glen..." @Glen-i you got something to tell us?
  3. My Steam Deck is now in Prague for repairs according to the email I just got from Valve. I might get it back in time for Christmas
  4. Good. I think I'll just do a quick story playthrough then to see where it's going. It's not a good game...
  5. It's a good thing that Kojima's Xbox exclusive is a horror game. I have no interest in it at all That said, the face tech is ridiculous...
  6. Played Eiyuden Chronicle: Rising this morning for a few hours. There are fetch-quests galore. But you do get some materials for upgrading equipment as rewards which is nice. I do like me some incremental upgrades in RPGs The game's gorgeous but other than that it's nothing special. Combat is barebones and easy/boring. Exploration is relatively straightforward, which is weird given that it's apparently a Metroidvania. The story has barely been noteworthy, so far...doubt it'll change much. So yeah...mediocre in all aspects but I spent 3 hours with it today so I guess this is happening.
  7. Ok...point taken, you cheeky git (at least you won't judge me for my opinion on BotW and TotK)
  8. Yup. It would be so much better if The Game Awards would just be about...you know...the awards. Just have game announcements at the winter and summer events That pissed me off so much... One of the biggest topics these days that we should talk about and he gets cut off. In a show about celebrating video games. Video games that bring people together, create communities and help people. When Neil said "they were seen and they were represented by this game when they lost hope, they felt isolated, they felt alone and this game brought them together", I shed a few tears, because I know who feel that way. A quote from quite some time ago: I never had to experience judgment or hate for any reason really, especially not for who I love (I'm a straight, white male so no surprises here) but I know many who have and still do. It's disgusting. This show is seen by a lot of people and it generates a lot of buzz in the industry (and a bit of buzz outside of it). Why the fuck wouldn't you give people the time and space to speak up...or just spread a bit of hope and hugs. Oh yeah...that's why.
  9. Baldur's Gate 3 was up against the crème de la crème this year and the game runs circles around each and every one of those no matter if they are a "token gesture" or not. I agree that it deserved the win but not because of the reasons you gave. It's a very cynical approach to the award and quite a way to downplay Larian's achievement. They single-handedly reignited the spark of the cRPG genre, fueled the DnD fire with a healthy splash of gasoline and brought both of those to a wider audience by creating one of the greatest games ever made. Your conspiracy talk makes no sense.
  10. Looks great. The sense of scale impressed me!
  11. Now I got this stuck in my head again:
  12. How do you know? You haven't finished it Me, an intellectual who has finished Act 1: Deserved
  13. Never played any of those series' games... Are these actually new games or just the old games with new graphics?
  14. Interesting. I enjoyed the Trials of Mana remake/remaster so this looks good to me!
  15. Not watching it. I NEED THIS GAME
  16. Gotta echo that. Thank you @Julius I fell asleep and going through the other consoles forum is much better than trying to sift through stupid gaming news websites
  17. Keep it away from Switch 2 at all costs. It needs to be built around absolute power The trailer was super boring, but NEW MONSTER HUNTER! 2025
  18. You gotta stop, I won't be able to sleep thinking about the possibilities More info on the DLC in the PSBlog: God of War Ragnarök: Valhalla DLC revealed, coming December 12 @Hero-of-Time You may want to stay clear. There are some slight spoilers.
  19. Yes, and YES! I always wanted them to expand on the Chalice Dungeons...
  20. Roguelikes/lites are taking over the gaming world and I love it.
  21. Neil Newbon's speech made tuning in already worth it. Edit: And a Muse song in a video game trailer. Edit: rogue-lite goodness for one of my favourite games! WHOOP WHOOP!
  22. Bought/ordered a few Christmas presents. I asked my sister if she needed anything and she said: "Nah, I got everything...but a voucher for a hardware store always works." So I got her that. Will also buy her a local liquor: For my mom: She has started going to the gym again, so I figured this might help Will also get her a Nintendo eShop voucher and make her buy Stardew Valley. I told her for years that she will like this game (she loves the Story of Season series, Harvest Moon and stuff like Disney Dreamlight Valley). I will tell her: "Buy it, and if you don't like it you haven't wasted your own money so no big deal ." Might also get some local sweets for both (and myself ). And here's another episode of "drahkon buys more stuff for himself": Some cheap earphones for use outside: Some more expensive earphones for use at home: Also paid for two trips: One to Heidelberg (Germany) and one to Groningen (Netherlands). Both are events by student initiatives in these towns. Heidelberg: weekendtrip with a dance lesson (gonna be a disaster ), a visit of the city's castle and a gala ball (not sure if it's a correct translation...it's literally the same words). Groningen: will spend 6 days (including New Year's Eve) in this city with parties, ice skating, wine tasting and beer cantus. Oh and we'll all sleep on a ship every night
  23. Look, if this turns out to be wrong...I will respond with many angry gifs
  24. So, @Hero-of-Time How happy are you that Jim Ryan is leaving?
