4 hours in. Haven't made too much progress because I keep laughing at the hilarious writing Weird dude: "You see, we elves have a long histo..." Jack: "I don't care, just tell us about Chaos". I wish more games had characters like Jack Gameplay is quite nice, too. Combat is satisfying, expect when playing as a mage. The control scheme is simply too clunky. I'll probably use other classes from now on. Loot is abundant. Thank goodness for the "optimize" button. Can't be arsed to deal with loot right now, because I know that post game is coming and loot will only become important then. Anyways, looking forward to playing more (might put it on old, depending on whether FFXVI arrives today).

Absolutely! Still getting used to the battle system or rather the controls, though. Switching jobs isn't ingrained in my muscle memory, yet. And using magic as a mage is also a little cumbersome. Other than that: it's great. Dialogue and writing are a disaster, of course, but I think it's gonna be so bad it's good.

Currently farming the first boss for exp. Beating his first phase gives quite a bit. Just gotta die and repeat

Fair enough. I tend to wait for sales, too. Sometimes I just need a game right now, though Same here. While I do play CoD a lot, there's no way I'll only stick to this one. Way too many great games out there.

I will never understand this. Most of my favourite games are "shorter" experiences and I'd gladly pay 70€ for them. I think these games only sell really well on Nintendo consoles. Then again, Xbox doesn't even offer these games (or any games, for that matter ). It's a shame...I do enjoy myself some gritty, hard-hitting, narrative games but I also enjoy games like Astro's Playroom, R&C and more. Sadly, the majority of gaming people are more into Fifa EA FC, Fortnite, CoD, etc. I'm not judging them, but the fact that these games rake in billions has changed the video gaming landscape. And not for the better. While I'm very happy with my PS5, I do hope Nintendo can grab me again with their next console and games. But given recent experiences...not going to happen.

Looking at the list again...I'm pretty excited. Gonna give a few games a go: Stranger of Paradise: Final Fantasy Origin Metal: Hellsinger Salt and Sacrifice Moonscars Mega Man 11 Prodeus And yet, I bought FFXVI. My decision making (especially regarding money) hasn't been on top these last few weeks

Cassette Beasts is starting to lose me... There's a good game underneath the hood, but lots of small things are annoying as hell. For example: Catching a mon while your team is full doesn't prompt a "do you want to take it with you"-message. It goes into storage immediately. And accessing the storage is tedious as hell...you gotta use a campfire or go into town. Speaking of campfires and towns: You can only fast travel to towns. Makes traversal quite boring. I did rectify these two problems by installing a mod, though... The worst thing, though: The battles are starting to drag on and on and on. Enemy monsters have way too much exp in my opinion and type advantages are not as potent as I hoped. Yeah, not sure how long I'll stay with this one...might be 9€ wasted

Given the quality of their games, I don't mind. Even though I'm not invested in Marvel at all. But seeing R&C slated for 2029? That makes me sad

Steam Deck is back! And games for December: SHIT! Way too many games I want to play

I unlocked 9 by just playing (some of which are story unlocks, some of which are optional). Didn't even notice the trophy popups at times The remaining three are pretty easy to get, too, if I had to take a guess from their description. One might be RNG, but I'm not sure.

Credits have rolled A lovely and meaty addition to a great game. Lots of hype moments for me and an ending that is very satisfying. Can't wait to see where the series will go next.

I think I had a great time with the demo so I'm here for it. If this doesn't turn out to be true then this day gets worse by the minute (my Steam Deck should've arrived by now but it seems the delivery has been delayed...)

The amount of Platinum trophies doesn't seem right. My trusty excel sheet only shows 22 and I'm pretty sure I've counted them correctly. My top 5 make it seem like I'm one of those "only buys a PS for CoD and Fifa type of players"

I don't know how deep the story goes (probably shouldn't expect too much) but the two hours of playtime I got in last night have been quite satisfying. Conversations between Mimir and Kratos are always fun But there are at least two other reasons you should play it. I won't spoil them, but I'd be surprised if they didn't put a smile on your face
