@Happenstance got a few questions for you since you've had some experience with a Steam Deck. If the sales of my Counter Strike Skins go through, I'll likely have about 200-250€ in my Steam Wallet and I'm considering a purchase of a refurbished 64GB Steam Deck and upgrading it with an SSD. I intent to play some older games from my library and the odd indie game here and there. Would you say the Steam Deck is a viable option for that? And you say that it's underpowered compared to more recent devices. Is it still possible to play newer games at reasonable FPS and graphics settings? Also: Do you have experience with emulation? Do you need to install a different OS or how would that work?

Fair enough I've started playing it, but thanks to EA FC24 and the long weekend we're currently having, everything aside from Clubs is on the back burner

13 Sentinels: Aegis Rim (Coming to Switch on 12th April 2022)
drahkon replied to Julius's topic in Nintendo Gaming
Finished this last night. What a game I can't recommend it enough. It's so good! I had a few theories throughout the game and one of them was right! I won't go into detail, you just have to believe me that I am smart I was wrong about many other things, though Yeah, awesome game. PS+ keeps on delivering! Now to go for the Platinum, which shouldn't take long! -
Always happy to see accessibility features even though I'm lucky enough to not need them. I do, however, always appreciate stuff like auto-complete QTEs and skip puzzles in games like these Speaking of: The mate I'm game-sharing with has Spider-Man: Remastered in his digital collection so you know I just had to download it. Turns out: I never finished the PS4 version back then

@WackerJr The time has come to get back to 13 Senintels: Aegis Rim Looking forward to seeing what it has in store. I just spent one Mystery Point to unlock information on the file called Time Travel. I figured it must be some juicy intel. Thank you very much... -
And it's done. Absolutely hated the character switching, the unnecessary side-plots and the fact that the main story only advances in one or two chapters per character. And this one also suffers from bosses who can block constantly, counter everything and are just annoying to fight... Absolutely loved the main story, though. And the final chapter was incredible. Shinada is a lovable goof. I shed a tear for him at the end And Haruka's speech Well...definitely the longest Yakuza game (aside from 7, of course) and definitely the one with the worst pacing. But as usual, the story bits and twists deliver and the characters are very well written
-
This is definitely the weakest Yakuza I've played, so far... As soon as the story goes somewhere, bam - you have to play as a different character... Nothing interesting happens in the first 3 chapters of each character. It's only about their side-stories, which I find as interesting as watching paint dry. I've done the tutorial and mandatory stuff and that was it. I've also done zero substories because I don't want to spend more time with the game as necessary. If the over-arching story didn't advance in only the final 5% of each character's playtime, I would've spend some more time outside of the main missions Still...the over-arching story is great, as usual, and it's what's keeping me going. But I won't deny that I'll be happy when the game is done and dusted. Really hope Yakuza 6 only as one protagonist...
-
Part 2 done. Thankfully, the finale of that was much better than the first chapters... So for each playable character there some is some kind of bigger side quest with unique mechanics? I've skipped 'em all, so far, because the introductions to those were boring as hell. Won't engage with this stuff for future characters, either. The main plot is great, though! Seems like the biggest and most impactful story of the series (only considering the previous installments, of course). Can't wait to see how it'll all play out.

I do, but I don't have a bard in my party so I can't relate The next big patch will arrive today and one feature has been confirmed: Not something I will use a lot, but people seem very happy it'll be in the game. I just hope some performance issues (inventory lag...) will be fixed on PS5. I would also appreciate mouse and keyboard support just to give it a try. Anyways, I'm still taking a break (thanks, Yakuza 5) but I enjoy reading patch notes so I hope they are released soon
-
Yeah, it's starting to annoy me just as it did in the 4th installment... As soon as things get really interesting and you start to get into a groove with a character the part ends and you move on to the next. Really not my style Just make a game revolve around one Still, the stories are interesting and will, of course, eventually merge and end with a bang (I assume). Part 2 is way worse than Part 1, I have to say. I love Saejima but the way his story unfolds and the fact that you explore the city only in his imagination are lame Maybe the later chapters improve, but I'm not holding my breath.

13 Sentinels: Aegis Rim (Coming to Switch on 12th April 2022)

Will definitely share my experience with the game. But for now, I've put it on hold because Yakuza 5 is leaving PS+ in a month and I really want to finish it before that happens -
I'm gonna raise this thread from the dead Properly started this and I think I'm nearing the end of the first character's journey. It's Yakuza alright Mainly doing the story bits because this is supposed to be the longest game (aside from 7) and because I hate the fact that you have 5 different characters to play as. Didn't enjoy Yakuza 4 that much for similar reasons. Still, there's intrigue, there's mystery, there's typical Yakuza stuff. It's fun. Can't wait until I eventually get the 6th installment. Been hearing only great things about it and it's apparently not a nightmare to get 100% completion.

Gonna quit my job, leave university and just fuck it all. Video games 4 lyf Absolutely crazy line-up...it'll most likely be FFVII Rebirth first for me. The other games have to wait. Anyways, I just checked PS+ and it seems that Yakuza 3-5 will leave the service in a month. Which means I have to play the 5th entry in the series now. Sorry 13 Sentinels: Aegis Rim...priorities. Awesome Wacky as always -

My journey will begin soon Downloading now and will give it a go after lunch Can't wait. I've only heard good things. Thankfully, I'll go in without any information about the plot whatsoever (aside from mechs being involved ). -
It will be exclusive, won't it? Anyways, this was announced two years ago? Time flies. Hope it'll release soon...
