  1. Man, these spectacular sequences are fucking fire Patience, my friend Waiting for a sale myself, though... Still got my PS4 copy sealed. Will keep it that way. It can only increase in value Oh no So far, R2+▲ does the trick!
  2. I know...makes me sad I guess I still have FFI-VI to play, as soon as the pixel remasters are on sale. So that's nice. Reeeaaaally hope the next Dragon Quest won't go that route...I think I'll go on a rampage if that happens.
  3. Yes, I truly miss the RPGness, but I've accepted the fact that FFXVI is the Yakuza series in reverse I like the combat. Especially the fact that perfect evasion windows are relatively generous. I hate games where it's (almost) frame-perfect. Maybe I'll get tired of it, but 1/3rd through the game, I still love every encounter! I do, however, hope that Final Fantasy will go back to traditional TURN-BASED JRPG goodness for the next mainline game. But I fear this won't happen... Anyways, I feel like I'm currently at a point that's building up to something huge. Smaller fights, a small bossfight, Cid has a plan...GIVE ME THE SPECTACLE
  4. While I would love that, I doubt you'd enjoy it. There's no real meta progression aside from a couple of relic and card unlocks. Once you unlocked 'em all (doesn't take too long), that's it.
  5. Good lord... I just went to a small village, met a lady, talked to the lady, followed the lady, talked to her again, followed her again, talked to her again, followed her again...you get the gist. For every incredible moment there is at least one hilariously boring/tedious/stupid moment.
  6. Always weird seeing H-o-T talking about rogulike modes and actually getting trophies for them. Voluntarily. This year has been crazy.
  7. My PS5 says I'm 1/3rd done with the game. I do wonder when it "opens up". I was expecting more side-quests, maybe some hunts for optional bosses, minigames. Do these things not exist in this one, or is it one of those "ok, the final battle awaits, but here are a million other things to do now" affairs? The story also seems quite grounded. No overarching super-duper enemy hellbent on destroying the world Not complaining, just wondering what FFXVI is
  8. Awesome!
  9. Uuuurrrghhh, I want to read that spoiler so bad
  10. No discount, sad Ehem...it's called Crystal Project. 25% discount. Not too bad. Found out that there's a demo, so I'm gonna give that a whirl later!
  11. It's really good! 4 levels left and it's been such a blast! Also quite challenging, even on normal difficulty. Beating a level also unlocks some challenges, which add interesting twists like: on each kill your weapon changes or only kills with ultimates count. Makes for some good variety. Speaking of variety, the only thing that sucks is that the game suffers from Nintendo's "you have to fight the same boss a million times" syndrome
  12. Yup, those were the good old days. I downloaded the app just for the sales back then Key resellers (think of them what you will) are better more often than not.
  13. Countdown It will start soon. Thankfully for my wallet the Steam sales aren't what they used to be (90% off of most games back in 2013). Still hoping for one or two roguelites to have a nice discount. Most importantly The Void Rains Upon Hear Heart: Also very interested in Project Crystal:
  14. I'm gonna interrupt this broadcast for a very special message: Been playing Metal: Hellsinger for a bit just now. Finished the tutorial and the first level so very early impressions. What is this game? A rhythm FPS. Is it good? So far, yes! How does it work? You run around and attack enemies to the beat of the song. The better you are (i.e. if you keep staying on beat), the higher your combo meter (and in turn your damage) goes. The higher the combo meter, the more layers of the song are revealed (vocals at the max level). Now, I've listened to some metal back in my younger days but the older I got the more I preferred rock. Couldn't enjoy the screams in metal anymore. However, I still do enjoy the riffs and holy cow there are some bangers here. Granted, I've only got access to three songs but man...the first boss' music: Pretty sure I headbanged my way through the boss fight
  15. Immediately reminded me of BotW and TotK. Empty, boring, useless. Thankfully, the combat is awesome and so much fun. I usually explore everything just to fight stuff But I would've loved some cool hidden treasures chests with better equipment and the sorts.
  16. Gotta say: Very disappointed with the open areas. There are no worthwhile rewards for exploration. Only crafting materials of which I haven't used a single one so far.
  17. Me right now:
  18. Ok, now that there was a flashback:
  19. I have only played the first one
  20. Soooo....gonna make a "bold" prediction Oh and: My goodness, this game's brutal. Edit²:
  21. If anything happens to Torgal I will break the disc in half.
  22. Definitely not locked And I'm tipsy, not drunk Man, Cid is badass! Completely missed your question. Yes I did, it's always fun making and drinking it I also got to see lots of friends again, most of which I haven't seen in over a year.
  23. I'm back, a little tipsy and ready to play I wish performance mode was locked to 60fps. It's quite jarring at times.
  24. Feuerzangenbowle!
