So, thanks for nothing I started a run just now. Did the tutorial and beat chapter 1. Took me 31 minutes and my brain hurts. There's so much to think about: Dice values, corruption, purification, buffs, debuffs, your own dice, enemy dice, sentinels, sentinel dice, virtues, what dice to choose as rewards, what dice to improve in a shop,... FUCK. Barely managed to defeat the first boss. It took me until the last turn to realize a certain synergy I have with one of my sentinels. Yay me. Well, onto chapter 2. Maybe tonight, maybe tomorrow

It's going to be at least 32°C here today...possibly 35°C. And at night, temperatures won't drop below 23°C. Tomorrow it's going to be the same but with rain. Humidity will be off the charts. I hate this. Gimme -5°C instead of this ridiculous heat

I spent a considerable amount of time with Slay the Spire on my SteamDeck recently. Wanted to ascend with The Defect and... There ya go My favourite character to play as, my favourite game of all time, can't wait for the sequel

It does get a little better now that the levels aren't just "run, jump, smack". However, I noticed that Daxter has a slight problem: He seems to be drunk. When I push the stick straight up, he always drifts slightly to the left. And no, my controllers don't suffer from stick drift. I tried it with both my DualSenses and my SteamDeck via remote play (which is awesome, btw), non of which showed any signs of drift when I tested them. Found one reddit thread describing the issue and it seems I'm not alone. It can be quite annoying when trying to jump straight ahead onto a moving platform. Played it for an hour and...it's not that bad Combat is very simple, though. A bit too simple for my liking, but it's early days. Gotta say: the art is gorgeous, the soundtrack is incredible. Soooooo...I'm gonna give this a proper go over the weekend. Speaking of: I finally have a weekend coming up without anything planned. After about 2 months of non-stop action I'm ready to just stay at home, watch Olympics and 2. Bundesliga and play video games (and do some exercises and go for one or two runs)

Yeah, that's a smartphone/tablet under those three cards So one of the other two red cards will reveal the mobile version. Haven't played this in quite a while but will definitely do in 2025 with added content

Interesting. Do you know if it's because of the bleak/dark atmosphere or the gameplay? I enjoy the gameplay, i.e. exploration, dialogue, skill-checks, etc. But holy cow did the rest put me in a bad mood after about 2h of playtime I'll probably get back to it anytime between September and the end of 2024 because there is a 99.99% chance I'll be in a bad place then. But that's a problem for future drahkon

I don't doubt that I'll eventually get back to it. It's just that in my current mood this game is not for me
