But the "every other game I have played online" clearly includes stuff similar to smash. The Smash creator practically admitted there would be lag anyway before the game was even out.
-
XD...you don't have the right to tell anyone to grow up. Not after your little fiasco the other night.
-
Ok, here's a nice thing to think about. I don't experience lag on a server with 1,000 people online (FFXI). I don't experience lag on any other game online except this. Thus, it's clearly nothing to do with my internet.

Awesome...instant respect if I wore those.

You shouldn't have to ask. Lost Odyssey is easily the best out of LO/BD...Blue Dragon really is quite a bog-standard, watered-down RPG (own both). Lost Odyssey is made by the creator of FF (IIRC), and is very well put together. It has dream sequences which are well worth the read, and the battle system is like Final Fantasy but with a bit of interaction to keep it from getting dull. I haven't a clue about Eternal Sonata, but I would definitely recommend Lost Odyssey.

Don't be an ass about it...that list has a lot of good games, probably none of which you have even played to pass judgement. I own some of those and they are really quite good.

Please don't. I just remember my city always being reduced to shit, never getting anywhere and constantly being out of power despite being linked to god knows how many power stations. God, damnit.

Nice. I had a look on eBay but a lot of it (I'm sure it isn't) looks like it's being sold by dodgy people. I found a 3m one on ebuyer for 5 quid anyway so I'll probably buy that. Thanks.

I'm sure I've asked this before somewhere, but I have this graphics card (pretty sure it's precisely the same) in my computer: link. It mentions HDTV-Out, so I'm not sure if that makes things any better for me (e.g. the possibility to output in exactly the same resolution as my HDTV). Would I need a DVI -> HDMI cable? I have a wireless keyboard and mouse so the idea of lounging back while on the PC is quite tempting. Cheers!

Well, I buy pretty much all the properties that I land on, then trade to make sets when the time comes. I find that the red set seems to be landed on very often, but the greens are great to have too.

They seem all nearer to £30. And the cheapest Amazon seller...that's dodgy as hell. £2 to have a link sent to you so you can then buy it for £24? Are we supposed to take their word on that? Ripped off either way tbh. I have a 360 and am needing to buy LIVE time (month trial used up)...I know the online service is good but there's no reason why it should cost money, just because it's better. It's like they have a trump card over PS3 but they then be silly enough to charge for it. Considering there's no standalone servers I'm not sure what we're paying for that isn't free on PSN. :p I would say PSN has most of that (store, bios, video store) and soon has the achievement thing. That said, I am getting annoyed by achievements, and I'd probably be happier if achievements were just never put in. Reason being - a) it promotes obsessive gaming in a way that wouldn't normally be done (e.g. get 10,000 gold tokens), b) it causes people to 'go for' the achievements, usually altering the way they'd play the game and ultimately ignoring things that don't reward achievements, and c) it awards game perfectionists. No one likes those. It does have most of the other things you say, but really, I don't think it's worth paying for that. If it had standalone servers (ie. something that gave a reason for Microsoft to continuously require money from the gamer) then I would see otherwise, but really a lot of those voice-chat, friend list things are really all available in a sense for free on MSN messenger. :p

Unless they're for charity. Then the more stupid the act, the better. I agree about speed runs in general though; people who take part pretty much have obsessive compulsive disorder. Of all the things you can feel proud of for achieving, completing FFX with Tidus L1 should not be one of them.

No one's internet really sucks in this day and age, unless they have dial up. Games actually use up all your bandwidth, so it's safe to say it's the game and not me (8Mb broadband btw).

Very good manga series...worth getting more.

The PlayStation Final Fantasy Games. Best games ever, I'll say.

Just got round to playing this online for the first time earlier (had the game since the Japanese release though), and my- what a heap of shit. I don't think I've encountered a worse online mode to a game.

Games you've never played... but probably should have?
Sheikah replied to a topic in General Chit Chat
I wouldn't worry about it- definitely one of the worst in the series. For me it would have to be Shadow Hearts 3....I loved 1 and 2, but have yet to get round to 3 (I've heard it's nowhere near as good, but I still enjoyed the former games). -
Completed this today, finally. Got all the achievements except Treasure Trove (which honestly is insane), which I am pretty happy with. Skill master on the immortals is frankly enough effort as it is. Great RPG.

Cheers, if anyone else could too that would be appreciated.

Listening to the Halo 3 main menu tune, and joining in at a part with loud singing yelling "What if God was one of us..." (the tune actually follows the song for that bit), then my sister walking past having heard it. Oh no.

Coffee is horrible...going to vote for that now.

Not long ago I got a 360...can anyone add me? I've added a few friends but not many, so it'd be cool if some of you added me. I realise there's a gamertag topic but this one sees more action. My gamertag is Volacious Mog.

Yes you are right, but people on this forum aren't fair or smart (some of them). Some people have difficulty distinguishing internet threatening and real life. For instance, I once bantered with a chav from Nuneaton and eventually it turned out that he was going to the shopping center to 'bang me out' (even though I'm from Cheshire. I ended up joining in with his style of rage, saying I'd kick the shit out of him etc. XD

I can honestly say I don't like Carol Vorderman...she lent her face to practically every credit card/equity/loan advert there was at one point; adverts made for the purpose of causing more people to spend what they didn't have and get into debt. Smacks of money-grabbing cow to be honest.

Nice...computer game designing? It would have been so awesome to be working for Rare in the N64 days I always thought...Banjo Tooie had a pig dressed in Union Jack shorts, vehicles had the GB sticker on, some of the enemies had English names and it felt very British at parts. Good old Rare. Shame about now though...
