  1. Shame on the lack of Paul lynch... I'm absolutely amazed if your ability was ever allowed for even a day, @DuD. Combined with a protection passive that would be pretty much immediately disqualifying Mafia from any kind of success. Can you tell us all your passives and actives since game begin? I got that you did no active on D1 and that your active was this death control the night before...
  2. Well Nintendo have done much wrong with their past few consoles and their third party relations, so your hypothetical scenario based belief is pretty much fantasy, you know. :p
  3. It's not third parties finding excuses, it's that Nintendo made a pretty tragic console and marketed it terribly. It's a real shame.
  4. Yeah, Cube admitted as much. Gutted I couldn't reflect it, or even that such a thing can exist. Given he was protected there was basically no way for him to die without one of us dying. Oh well, such is the game!
  5. A next gen lock in means we can expect it to look better, plus it's more reason for people to make the switch.
  6. You may as well go ahead and lynch him. Someone chuck a real truth serum at him too. Pressure the shit out of him.
  7. He's lucky that the sword wasn't fully powered up yet.
  8. Looks like it should be pretty nice. I'll be playing on PC at some point.
  9. I bet you could if... You gave your own life in exchange. Or maybe roleblocked yourself in exchange for 2 nights. HAGANE NO RENKINJUTSUSHI!
  10. @Mr\-Paul what did you get up to?
  11. Looks delish.
  12. People who say the PS4/X1 versions of games look almost no better than the previous console's games aren't being honest or fair in their assessment. And I'm pretty sure they know it, but they've got a point they want to make. Multiformats that are quickly made to run on multiple different spec consoles aren't going to look radically different between formats. You only need look at a game designed exclusively for this generation like Infamous on the PS4 to see a very large boost from the previous gen.
  13. You do when it's from Nintendo.
  14. It's also cheaper than a mid-range PC with a Blu Ray drive by a long shot. For them to be selling them around £330 on Gamestop is nothing short of remarkable. You're also guaranteed games that are optimised to run on the machine even 6-7 years later; I'd like to see that on a similar priced PC without upgrades.
  15. No, that's not true at all. It will have the exclusives, and people know that. Just not yet. Just look at the PS3. It by far had more exclusive new IP of the last gen. Particularly in terms of Japanese games, too - the 360 lacked so many of these. People don't just know that the PS4 will run multiformats the best (aside from PC); they remember what awesome IP they got on the PS3. Those PS3 games developers aren't likely to pass up the PS4. The argument again comes down to 'the future'. People will argue that because tens of exclusives aren't announced right now that it will have poor exclusive support. Which if you look how well the PS3 did, which lacked all the signs of the PS4 runaway success at this stage of its life, just doesn't make sense. Since when do people ignore the not-so-distant past when determining the future? Also regarding sales - that's a bit of a moot point. Even if individual titles don't sell like Nintendo's, they distinguish the console and give people more reason to buy it than a competitor's. And people are getting given a lot of games included with Plus these days, so it's really hard to quantify the numbers who are playing their games. Nintendo consoles also pretty much exist to sell Nintendo games these days, so it's hardly surprising that people who have bought the console then buy the only games available. It's like when there were only 2 or 3 channels available to watch - programs would draw in massive viewing figures.
  16. Why not get it now? Play the definitive console versions of multi format games that now cost the same as the last gen titles when they hit. I'm getting my PS4 later this month along with Infamous, making the PS4 about £335. It's really not going to get much cheaper in a year, so why wait and continue to play inferior versions of newly released games?
  17. You're making the same mistake I've seen others make. You're looking at what's available right now as opposed to what will be available; and what people know is coming. It will be very well supported. And priced as it is, it's not getting any major discounts soon. Whether you buy it now or in a year's time will have little cost difference. To put it simply - it is doing well as it has a future, like you say. But that future is games, the very thing you first commented that the PS4 didn't need to sell a console.
  18. Oh, the venom. :p It amuses me how some people can still possibly believe this. You only need to look at the last generation to see that out of the 3 consoles, the PS3 had more exclusive new IP by a long shot. People don't forget that. You've also got to factor that it was marketed well (for the players), is priced great and is by quite some margin the superior piece of tech. Of course people and developers are going to get behind it.
  19. I'll play! Gimme a day to contribute my ones...
  20. Some Sriracha Chilli Sauce. Yum.
  21. I can't wait either - getting the game + PS4 bundle. That new tech feel...
  22. Because Rayman Legends didn't sell very well. It reasons that there are still people who will be there to buy it, or early PS4/X1 adopters game starved enough who never had it who will check it out. Tomb Raider Definitive (X1/PS4) leapt to number 1 of the UK charts, so don't rudely imply anything when I suggest some consoles are more suitable for remakes/ports than others. As for your other examples - ACIII was a month old when it hit Wii U. For this kind of game, that really is quite a bit. People that really want it aren't likely to hold off to buy it on Wii U if they already have one of the other systems are they? It was also cheaper on the other systems sooner as a result of it having been out longer. AC games notoriously drop off in price quickly. They are quick to turn over games. FIFA and COD may be pretty big deals, but their dependence on a built up roster of friends means most people would probably rather buy it on the other consoles, which also have far more robust online infrastructures for this sort of thing. FIFA also came out 2 months later on Wii U (again, a pretty big deal for this sort of game). Another look, and Batman was 1 year and 1 month later on Wii U too. How can you argue that Wii U is really competing here? Most of the games all came out later than the others, really.
  23. @Clownferret don't forget that the PS4 has just come out, so of course it's not going to have loads of great new games yet. The Wii U sure didn't at this stage in its life. The PS4 is doing well because it has a future. It's as simple as that.
  24. They weren't major third party releases though; they were old games that people had already played. In some cases like Mass Effect 3 it just made no sense. The point of Mass Effect 3 is to play the trilogy (or at least comic + 2 + 3) so you had a story that meant something to you, as it was your story. Starting on the last game a while after it had come out on other consoles was just bizarre if you ask me. Rayman Legends didn't sell amazingly so it reasons there are still many people who haven't bought it yet (unlike many of the Wii U titles, where most people interested had probably already bought it). If they can release it on the PS4 without too much effort then they may as well.
  25. @Serebii by selling some copies I mean that updates of old games probably have more chance of doing better on the PS4 (see Tomb Raider sales) than the Wii U versions of old games which did pretty poorly. That's why I was confused that he didn't get why they would come to PS4, when I know he praised being able to play the Wii U versions for the first time. Also Rayman Legends was originally a Wii U exclusive and had been designed for the console, so it's not surprising Wii U owners had already bought into the game.
