That post seemed to be made in such a reasonable manner that I have great difficulty not believing it. Maybe Pandas can't make any noise, and thats why we don't know what they sound like?
-
Happy Birthday to you both, although I haven't a clue who one of you are.
-
Nobody move! This is a hijack! What noise do mooses(meese?) make? As for pandas, I'd have assumed roaring like a bear. I've never seen it though, maybe they're mute? I know they can sneeze though, I've seen that rather adorable clip of a newborn panda to death and scaring the shit out of its mother.

Sounds like it's just a case of the waiting game now then. January 8th is only a week or so away, I'd advise you to not spend your time thinking this over too much, and also be prepared for the worst. That way, if it's good news, it'll seem even better, if it's bad news, it'll seem a bit meh.

Before this thread goes further, I would most like it if someone actually pointed out where someone explicitly stated what is implied in the title of this thread? If that is not possible, well, my opinion of the caliber of certain posters on this forum has probably just fallen.

Jesus, I feel like it's still 2005. On the whole I spose it's been a good year, but not one of the best. I get a horrible feeling 2007 is gunna be worse though

The Nicest thing anyone has ever done for you...
Rummy replied to Goron_3's topic in General Chit Chat
I dunno really, I tend to think of kindness from strangers as nicer than the same thing from people you know. One time on the way to my friends house I got lost and stopped at a surgery to ask for directions but they didn't seem to know where it was. There was a guy there who was leaving that I asked, but he didn't know, then like 2 minutes later he came back in and said he knew where it was cos his mate used to live there. Guy just up and gave me a lift there in his car, which I thought was pretty nice of him, all the while I had the paranoid feeling of why, and how I probably shouldn't have taken a lift from a stranger, but it all turned out fine. From someone I know, the guy who's house I got lost on the way to, dropped off an xmas present to my door for me when I wasn't here, and it was a Zelda wristband. I thought that was pretty cool of him, I didn't even get anything in return, but it really really made my day. -
There's a bit of a difference between organs and limbs, a rather shallow one in my opinion. I mean, when someone dies and their organs are donated, I wouldn't mind so much, but if you were cutting bits off their body like their hands, practically mutiliating this person, well, I think it's a different matter. I know this seems extreme, but I reckon thats the way people would see it. Personally, when I die, I'd love for as much of me to go to good causes as possible, I sure as hell won't be using it no more.

Sound interesting, but the site isn't very clear on how it all works? I'm trying out that Wii Video 9 though to see how big a file will be after converted, and how it looks on the good old wii.

So whats all the fun and games with 8.8 Great?
Rummy replied to dannbrownn's topic in Nintendo Gaming
I beg to differ, the single player cup modes tend to get pretty damn challenging later on! Of course, the single player is about 5% of the goodness and fun and giggles that is Multiplayer. Man, that game's multiplayer is classic. I changed my mind, don't get it unless you have at least one person to regularly play multiplayer with you. Back to the original point of 8.8 great!(I had a dream about a can of beer with 8.8 units), because of this review, I actually found myself spending the first 3 dungeons and in between constantly thinking 'Is this better than OoT? Would OoT have done that? Hmm, but OoT had that too...' sort of thing, I couldn't help but spend my time comparing the two. Eventually I realised I was being silly and learned to appreciate the game for what it was. Whilst it isn't as 'Zelda' as other zeldas for me, it is one top notch game, seriously. Awesome, but I did feel there wasn't enough 'Zelda' in it, seemed a bit generic to me than others. -
Did you match the power supply with the old one accurately? Also, as basic as it sounds, did you make sure it was plugged into the router properly? I had trouble with my router recently, and went and bought a new plug for it then thought it wasn't the plug because it wasn't working still. Turned out I hadn't pushed it all the way into the router properly.
-
Ahh, yes, that does make sense. I can't believe I was silly enough to ask now, seems so obvious. I might look to invest in one, as my mum used to take the snes and hide it away with her, and she wrapped the wire tight around the transformer, so it only works if you position the wire in the correct position and find a way to hold it like it. (I fail to see the spelling error in the post above?)
-
Whenever I heard of things like this, I can't help but think 'Do they match?'. I mean skin wise, are they the same colour, and if not how do they blend something like that in? I think these sorts of things are quite extreme, and I'm not sure where I stand on the ethics of it. I mean, why shouldn't someone who needs hands get the same treament and someone who needs a heart/kidney/insert other vital organ here? Then again, all this healing and such of sick people. I don't mean to sound really harsh, but sometimes I think we should just let them die. What's it doing to evolution of the human race and survival of the fittest? Of course, if I was in any situation where I needed it, or my family, I'd totally change my tune.

City of God It was just on Channel 4, though I seen it before off the DVD. This is a film set in Brazil, I think. It's a film about The Ghetto, Violence, Crime, Guns and Drugs. When I say ghetto here, I'm talking about a proper ghetto, some slummy village in brazil. It about how kids, proper kids like younger than 10, end up in lives of crime simply because thats all there is, not helped by all the corruption of the cops. It's told from the perspective of one guy trying to get out of the slums, and it's simply such a good film that's so different to anything I've really seen that I can't really describe it well, as you may have so far noticed. It's entirely in Portugese, with English subs, but don't let that put you off watching it. It really is a brilliant film. Although be warned, there's alot of violence and swearing in it, but it's quite an inspiring films, of sorts. Seriously, see this film if you get the chance. It's a rarity for me, but this one's getting a big fat 10/10.

Sonic Mega Collection you mean? Best of with it on PS2 or Xbox, they added more stuff. Thanks for the suggestions guys, looks like I'm gonna be looking at Skies of Arcadia or Tales of Symphonia, Eternal Darkness and Pikmin 2(I had the original). Hopefully I can get the lot for under £30. *crosses fingers in false hope*

I've been considering since I made this topic. Originally, I'd put it towards getting lashed, probably a load of drink for a party for my friends, obviously I'd have no money for a venue but I'd depend on one of them to provide :p Another thing I'd like to do with it is go on a bit of an eBay shopping spree, buying random things you can get on there, like sweet potato ocarinas and Rubik's Cubes, just tons of weird novelty crap like that.

This topic makes me feel so unfit. As I'm one of those people who can eat alot but never gets wider than a rake, I don't do alot to keep fit. I bought some dumbells a few years ago and used to lift them every day(just bicep and tricep excercises standing, sometimes shoulder stuff). I got lazy though, and don't do so much anymore. Earlier this year whilst procrastinating an essay, I bought an inflatable punchbag, and used to use it quite alot. Given that it's inflatable it doesn't take a punch too well(bouncing away), and it's noisy, I don't use it much anymore either. I'm quite keen to take up a martial art, preferably karate as I did it when I was younger, but alas, I'm too lazy to find somewhere that teaches it well and for a good price, also too lazy to find the time. All in all, I'm fairly lazy, and so I'm not very fit at all. I mean to join a gym, the problem is that I'm just too lazy and unmotivated to find out about these things. My uni has a gym that's £15 a month, but I haven't found out much about it. I've never been a member of a gym before, I guess I'm kind of embarrassed of making a tit of myself, or looking weedy, I dunno.

I don't mean to shit on this guy or nothing, but I do wish people would stop saying that. It's not just you, I read it a few times. Like I said, I don't wanna make him feel bad, but she might have given it to him in the heat of the moment, or she might have liked him, but now changed her mind(as fickle as it sounds). As I said, something similar happened with me before, and I dunno, I was young and a fool, but things like this made me have false hope. Elekko, if you plan on spinning a yarn to try and make this all better, you best be good at it. Lying is bad, and most of the time it can come back and bite you right in the arse. Do you wanna start things off with a lie? I say to just tell it like it is and see what happens, no point in lying. If things don't work out, they don't work out, plenty more fish and all that. Don't get me wrong, I ain't perfect or nothing, and I've told my fair share of lies, but I don't think it's the way to start things off. Basically, to sum it up, stick with your mate's advice, it sounds good to me.

I just remembered, at one point, I wanted to be an actor too. It fleetingly crossed my mind during GCSEs too, so I took a drama GCSE. GCSEs were probably the best two years of my life.

For the £5, I'd say it's well worth it. Good for getting people used to the wiimote, a little light relaxing or some light competition. I wouldn't say it'd have been a better pack in than WiiSports though, not at all. Like people have said, it's pretty limited, and I 100% agree.
-
I see, I'll give that a try then thanks. I didn't realise quicktime plays them, I haven't actually got any, but my mate was gonna send me one and I didn't know QT will play it. Even so, it'd be handy to know how to convert them.
-
I think thats the right extension, the ones that cameraphones use for their videos. Does anyone know how you can convert them into AVI or MPEG files?
-
Don't you have to take into account the current? Just curious, because I've seen variable voltage plugs which can have different currents(i.e two seperate products, one which has higher current than the other).

1.) When you were little what job did you want when you grew up? I remember I used to say alot that I wanted to be a 'reporter'. Which in theory would translate to a journalist, think I just wanted to be one of them people who read the news and stuff, the sort of people you see doing those things, like the ones who ask questions and take notes and conferences. I can't help but think I was influenced by the fact I knew spiderman worked for a newspaper. 2.) What job did you want to do when you left school (or currently persueing) Well, I used to love computers and would have liked to do something with them. However, ICT really put me off, as there were little computers involved, and pretty much all I could do computer related. I did it at a-level, sucked, the teacher sucked, and it all sucked. I did physics too, and maths, both of which I liked alot and wouldn't have minded a job involving, but they just got too hard and I doubted I would be able to handle it. I settled for Psychology, which I only first dabbled with as an AS at the same time. 3.) What course did you do/are planning to do after school? BSc Psychology :P I like the theory alot, but too much writing for me. I'm more of a numbers man(^maths and physics^) and psychology doesn't have enough like that apart from sadistic statistics. 4. ) What job you got now? Working for Oxleas NHS as an Healthcare Assistant. Not bad for a job which needs no qualificiations. Oxleas are a pscyhiatric healthcare trust in the south east, thus I work in psychiatric healthcare. I can work anywhere in oxleas, but only seem to get work on a ward in queen mary's hospital(my mum works there, it helps ). I enjoy the job though, much better than expected. Work isn't guaranteed though, due to the nature of how I am employed. 5. ) Future Plans regarding work/studies After I get my BSc Psychology degree? Who knows. I would like to go into clinical psychology(psychiatric healthcare basically), but it takes alot more studying and is very competative. I'll take a year out after my bachelors, do some travelling and relax, then look at my options. Psychology is broad, and I could go into any number of things. Dunno whether I'll study further and specialise, or look for a job straightaway that I can get with a Bachelors.

Haha, that'd be so cool. I did consider using £50 to buy 500 bags of space raiders. £50 is alot though, in Wilkinsons(cheapest pick and mix ever, with good reason) it's like 50p per 100g. That's £5 per kilo, £50 would be like 10kg of pick n mix!
