  1. I use 100% natural hair grease. It's stylalicious!
  2. Probably super mario land on my cousins' Game Boy or something, but my first actual game would be the SNES/Super Scope 6 which we got with it, it was pretty awesome. My parents rock for buying us that, I never really appreciated that fact before now, thanks!
  3. http://wiiportal.nintendo-europe.com/735.html That might help with the info, took me a bit of time to actually find somewhere that explains these error codes, useless Nintendo. If you're gonna use encryption for security btw, I'd recommend WPA, not WEP.
  4. Where did you buy it from? Those things are usually printed and packaged by machines I thought, and people on the assembly line wear gloves anyway/ Sounds to me like it was either taken back, or the shop you bought it from had been using it.
  5. You could use this rare oppurtunity to sight see, or to go to Game On and just induldge yourself in that. I believe it's running at the science museum, I plan to go up at some point before it closes. Just wondering, whats the musical you're going to see?
  6. Happy birthday! A camera sounds like a pretty cool present to get!
  7. That would be piracy, cow farts and erm...george bush. To answer the original questions, yes, rechargeables are fine, what ones to get? No idea, I happened to already have some Uniross Ni-MH batteries, but I dunno how they compare to same brand Ni-Cad batteries in terms of how much play they give you. Ni-MH are supposed to be superior however in terms of actual battery lifetime, and they don't suffer from memory effect like Ni-Cads do. I think I know what I'm talking about, but I also think I may have got something wrong, if I have, someone feel free to point it out. EDIT: Non-rechargeables might give longer playtime than rechargeables though, and you can pick up non-rechargeables pretty cheap, like 30p per when you buy lots together(check argos).
  8. I did some stuff with the SD card earlier, would be nice if you could run VC stuff right off a SD card, and if when copying you could like select a number of things then copy them all in one go, rather than having to do it bit by bit. Does anyone know if you can save your mii collection to SD cards? PM me if you do. I know I said feasible suggestions, but something that I keep thinking is that they really should have put an eject button on the wiimote, I waste precious seconds waiting for that disc to pop out!
  9. When I heard about it, I thought 'I won't wanna see that' then I saw the trailer, and think I might. I'm even considering actually going to the cinema and paying to see it! I became quite a fan of the recent TMNT cartoon, though some people beg to differ on it being good/better than the original. Before you jump at me for saying that, actually go back and watch one of the originals. (I predict yoyos to make a comeback in 2010)
  10. Hmm, I just checked my wii sports and zelda, they both seem pretty fine to me except for a slight bit of a fingerprint on sports(it isn't mine grr!), I've been running my wii in the stand. Are you the only one who plays/changes discs over? Have you put them down on any surface at all, or wiped them with anything at all?
  11. I'm a tennis pro! I dunno whats special about it, but I am one! Them computer players were darn tricky, btw, if you are on my wii friend list, expect this photo to be cropping up on your wii
  12. I have Quotes of the Day on my customized google page, and there is a brilliant one today. I do not feel obliged to believe that the same God who has endowed us with sense, reason, and intellect has intended us to forgo their use. - Galileo Galilei
  13. Problem is that I think it makes all it's calculations off the fact that it already knows the distance between the IR LEDs on the sensor bar, it needs some sort of known before it can work out the unknowns, although davidredge's suggestion should be able to sort that out easily. I was dissappointed about the playtime counters too, they should add a bit with a running counter somewhere, although Zelda does have its own already on the playfile, it'd be nice to have it for other games and stuff. A load of stats, a bit like the ones in SSBM.
  14. Ooo yeah, that was one thing I was dissappointed about. When I heard the wii could play .AVIs off SD cards I thought that was pretty cool, until I tried it and found out it doesn't seem to support any codecs, which is a bit crummy as no decent video is made without them. It'd be cool if you could like try VC titles for 10 minutes or so before you buy them too, I just bought Bomberman on a whim, and it's a bit meh.
  15. Zelda needs an overhaul of sorts, but a good one. It needs to be what OoT was to previous zeldas like LttP and Zelda(we won't mention Zelda 2).
  16. So, all of us who own one of this wonderous machines think it's pretty awesome right? I do, but whilst it may be pretty awesome, it could inevitably be better, and this thread is for suggestions of such things which would make it better. So, fire away, what bits of the wii would you like to improve? Try and keep it feasible though, like stuff they could update through system updates. One thing that bugs me is that for the address book you can only add Mii's for a person if you already have said Mii on your console. Thats a bit...erm...I forget the word, but you know what I mean right? It'd be good if you could add someone, then once they've added you back, you get to set a mii that will appear by itself in their address book. I'll be back with more suggestions later, I just have to finish off a bit of wii boxing first. I think a wii sort of pictochat would be good too, pretty much sort of a wii messenger so you can chat to any of your friends who are online and stuff.
  17. Hi, I think you'll enjoy it here. I recently joined and quite like it, seems different to alot of other forums I've been on because everyone seems pretty cool, if you ignore those first few stupid posts. I hope you like it here and stick around, although you might find yourself spending more time than you anticipated :p
  18. Boxing is a killer, me and my mate were playing it for an hour or two yesterday and it really made my arms ache, otherwise, my arms are fine with everything else. I've calmed down a bit now, not swinging and jumping around like a lunatic anymore.
  19. To everyone who has PMed me, I believe I've added you back. I don't have miis for all of you(because I didn't have the mii when I added you, dumb system) and my plaza is currently overun with miis, I don't know who's who! It doesn't help that some Miis are different to forum names and such. So if you want to, send me a little message with your mii attached to it, just if you have the time, it'll help me make my address book look more snazzy!
  20. When it gets something new through WiiConnect24, pretty much just email at the moment. If you wanna force it yourself, email yourself from your wii, then you need to reply to that email from the computer, then you can email the wii. If it recieves the email whilst on standby and in WiiConnect24 mode, it should start to glow blue. It didn't glow a few times I tried it, and even if you don't read the message, if you turn your wii on I think the disc glow is gone(won't come back after you switch it off) Tingler, you sure you've got it on its side properly? It's not at any funny angles or anything? It's sitting in the stand properly? I shouldn't have thought it'd be as much of an issue with it being a slot loading drive, but meh. As far as I'm aware you cannot connect it using any sort of USB cable, must use the USB to ethernet adapter and an ethernet cable. Second, can't you just access the router from a wired computer and get the passkey?
  21. It's a nice little wind down sort of game, good for taking a break from the action of wii sports, I haven't played it much other than to give everything on it a go. I might play it a bit more tomorrow though, gonna encourage people to play it if they're gonna play the wii, I think it's good for helping them understand the capabilities if they aren't already aware.
  22. I think this current wii location is only temporary, but I took pictures anyway(whilst QI was on just now) The quality is kind of poop because I have shaky hands and I tried to get rid of the light so I could show how the glow of the wii matches the glow of the TV Theres more here; http://s126.photobucket.com/albums/p102/Threereef/Wii/
  23. I thought you can divide by zero using complex numbers or something?
  24. I was considering downloading something, but theres really no need considering sports, play and zelda, so I'm gonna refrain from even using the VC yet, because I'll just end up buying lots of stuff I'll never play. Anyway, what are you playing DKC with? I'm curious as to how it plays with both the VC and GC controllers, and which is better in your opinion. When you bought the points, did you use a credit card or buy them from a shop? If you used a credit card, did you at any point worry about how secure it was?
