If we've got a few regular folks then that's cool! I assume the max party size in the final thing will still be 4? It's really the online/multi that's gonna get me into it - hopefully might convince a few mates but I did that with D2 and now maybe they're a little less likely to trust me
-
Played the demo/beta thingy when it was up for the weekend - enjoyed it. Always missed out on the multiplayer aspect of MH and so never got involved with folks here - I'd be getting it essentially for running the hunts with folks on the regular and helping each other out etc. Saying that, how many folks are we going to have about for regular stuff from here on PS4?
-
Dan dare was mentioning about this the other day, I recall I had it but didn't have much opportunity to make the most of online/multi features. Depending on the aspects of that and if anyone else is likely to get it (looking at you @Fierce_LiNk) I'd be tempted, even if it isn't my favourite.

Soooo....I think through some specialness of my own I may not have actually been watching this year's, yet I can't find the original damn twitch stream I had to finish the one I WAS watching! They weren't far off world 6 I had wondered as you don't mention it much @drahkon, dunno what to say about YI after all as from what I've seen of the actual one from this year it seems more lively than I described. I like SMW runs still but they've gotten to some points where it's just crazy beyond sense! Edit: can ANYONE tell me when the fuck this clip is from?? I honestly can't find any fucking info to date it. @Dcubed you know your AGDQ stuff right?! - https://m.twitch.tv/gamesdonequick/v/5852154?sr=a&t=0s Editedit: think it's a 2015 stream! Checked the hashtag. Fucking AGDQ/Twitter need to sort their fucking organisation and titling out even if I have enjoyed this!

Forgot this was happening til my mate reminded me last night. Just been watching the Yoshi's Island any% warpless race atm as my first outing of this year's offerings. I'm probs gonna be only catching up on the shorter/old school ones that I used to like due to time and also OWL time too. It's not the most fascinating watch for those who aren't big fans - the main commentator doesn't sound(not to say he isn't) very punchy and loses himself on occasion, which is a shame as he has great knowledge of the runs but doesn't get it across enough imo for the regular viewer. On top of that there aren't too many obvious 'tricks' as it were, so less to talk about for the technical side. Being over an hour on top doesn't help either - BUT! Having said that as a massive YI fan(dunno where you sit on it @drahkon, know you're a big SMW fan) I'm enjoying it to watch as a 4 way race. Not understanding entirely how/where some of these big gaps are getting closed but finding it fun, maybe through slight reminiscence I was watching an old one from somewhere! Still enoyable nonetheless. Makes me really want to do a charity gaming run/marathon like the guys have done here in the past. Tbh I'm watching YI and I'm really thinking how awesome it'd be to do a fast bowser run against Drahkon, as well as an attempt at all exits Edit:fuckers. Tempted fate it seems and twitch/Chromecast just gave up on me.

I understand it came onto the PTR this week or so - I reckon we'll see it drop with Xmas update. Probs about 2 weeks time when Dec hits.

I'll admit I'm not keen on Nex Machina(nor much else) at its current price due to monies issues; but I did end up buying the Alienation DLC a few months back after enjoying it so much on ps4 - so whilst it's probably an exception to the whole it isn't always terrible being a free game. Nonetheless it's a shame to see/hear Housemarque moving out of the genre is kinda sucky to hear, but then again they've done so well with what they've done so far maybe they'll excel in a new genre too...

Cool sounds good to me Deathjam(if you meant Saturday specific, if you were talking generally being on that's also cool!). I think Drift is about - not sure about anyone else? I forgot I've got a hospital appointment Saturday but its local and shouldn't take long so I'm hoping to be back in and on by 6-7ish latest. Deffo agree with you on something like PoE or even a bit more in cruicble. The week after Iron Banner felt very dry for me at first - if I was a higher PL I'd probably be asking the same questions as everyone else in wondering just what it is I would be doing instead.
-
Are there any particular PS3 titles you might be after SCG? I got a dirty deal on a PS3 about 5 years back with a ton of games I thought I'd sell on or play but never did. If there's anything I've got your bro might want(unlikely to be anything rare/valuable or sealed) I can have a look if I've got it.

I realise the potentially low response given the day and timing - but is anyone around Next Saturday afternoon/evening time? I think Drift is, so with 4 more we could try a bit of raid? Though on that front I'm blind so will need to watch and catch up online or maybe we'd need someone experienced to help direct those of us not? If in the most likely event we don't get 6 of us, anything less could be put into other stuff? NF rotations for alts, crucible, trials(tho I understand it's potentially absent next week too) - basically just a bit of trying to get folks together for stuff. Was saying to drift actually that whilst I think the app is great for its LFG tie-in(which I've not really used before) and I found some NF teams for - I do think a clan LFG thing would be fantastic; especially following on from @Agent Gibbs earliest sentiments. My idea is say I know I'll be on from maybe 6pm til 9pm an eve - just like LFG you chuck it up on the app say but rather than public it's visible to clan only; details what time's you'll be on and what you're interested in/possibly playing. I still play Destiny, even without my mates on, but it IS better with them. Knowing that, and that I'll be in the game either way - setting a window of welcome availablility for the whole clan to see and then communicate with you(either LFG response, psn message, party chat etc) would be a really tight addition.
-
Haha, was gonna say it's not so likely for Drift to be mistaken on Destiny, though we were also up half chatting at stupid o'clock Don't want to tread too much old ground but k do agree with @Nolan last post rather much. I think whilst the front end of things seem different the back end isn't. when you consider it, all that much different. The thing is now it isn't being shoved down your throat and you have some control over things too - you can grind to the 265 mark then engage in trades etc. You can choose the vendor and their pools for the random drops. It doesn't feel as immediate of sinking time and getting and scrapping countless items from strikes - it's a delayed time tradeoff that imo is actually just as efficient if not more. However I'd say a large number of gamers are instant gratification and not so keen on changes or interpreting them so well(myself included on occasion mind, and not meaning to point any derogatory fingers). The thing is as well I keep defending D2 but it's not even blowing my mind as a game really so I hope it doesn't come across as that; I genuinely do think that a lot of the of the criticisms being levelled are being too comparitive to D1 at varying points, and with too much of the retrospecs on rather than seeing it in its own right now.
-
It'd be interesting if they added some legacy stuff and could bring the original strikes over - tweak them a bit sure for balance given changes but it'd be a bit more content. I did feel a bit done a bit quick with no IB this week. I really like control and having the option like in D1 was good; I can see they want to try and get people experiencing things tho. I still don't have a major issue with the endgame, but I'm also only around 285-290 per char. I can imagine it becoming difficult continuing to grind up with mods at you get closer to 305? I haven't done a raid tho survived mostly without it in D1 - I agree once again however they(raid and NF) should drop rewards that can come out at a higher than usual level. I'd really like to get the raid done at some point; but wasn't the issue of grinding that too much also present in D1? There was incentive to do it on a weekly basis? Wouldn't it be fair to say the Powerful Gear milestones kinda offer the same and encourage a kinda varied gameplay to level up?

That IS super weird! I didn't check it out til yesterday I don't think so didn't know it was anything else before. Is it related to the glitches at all? Usually I go to @DriftKaiser with any Destiny doubts as he's quite on the ball - any idea on the NF changes Drift? EDIT: this is an article from 3 days ago so I'm presuming it was related to this glitch not being fixed? http://comicbook.com/gaming/2017/10/18/destiny-2-exodus-crash-prestige-nightfall-strike-broken-fix/#1 NonethelessssI'm preferring Pyramidion - I actually ran it again as Titan via LFG just to help some folks out and also did it with my Hunter via LFG. I'm tempted to help folks out again tonight via LFG and Titan just because it's such delightful mayhem with the Torrent and grenades.
-
Which one is exodus down? I don't think I even looked at last week's, I assumed this was just this week's one?? I actually find Pyramidion NF quite fun now, mostly due to the Torrent buff.

Hadn't realised about maintainence when I posted earlier and napped thru most of it. If anyone needs a nightfall 3rd tmw eve or Monday as I mentioned gimme a shout! It's Pyramidion again. Will try and get on with Guided too but happy to do it more than once. Edit: well that went better than expected! I did try one earlier but we got kicked for the maintainence tho we only had about a minute left and the boss was still first stages. Had no chat on there. Just got another after about 15 minutes, couple of non-english chaps and little need for verbal comms but some nice teamwork even without it. Still good to do it with folks here tho as I'd like to get it done on my other two chars as well.
-
Aha, thank you! Anyone up for Nightfall at any point this eve, tmw(not too late) or possibly Monday eve?
-
How did you manage to figure out your playtime? I'd love to know mine! @Choze I thought so, I do recall thinking it was impressive you'd got do high without raiding as I felt like I was struggling to get there I must admit I'm not sure I'll get the expansions but rather maybe wait and get a TTK equivalent next year if they do such. The reassuring thing about the current setup is that I feel confident enough that I'll be able to catch back up without too hard a grind(whilst you guys are likely playing and levelling too) in order to be up to scratch to join for those etc. I think in the long run the current approach will have a benefit for more players on the whole and keep the game accessible regardless of when you get on board - though for that I do also think there needs to be the 6v6 options for PvP again.
-
... Not at all; in fact I think your post has been amazingly sharp in how well its hit the issues. I agree completely with both, especially point 1. I didn't do raids much originally - but yeah I feel even less incentivised this time from almost all raid folks who've complained that the gear you get isnt good enough(one powerful for completion and tokens otherwise??) - I think the raid should work like it did before. I understand people's issues; especially with the token system, but I think a lot of the changes are good because it gives more options and control to the player. There are many different approaches to levelling, and if you want to grind the mods actually let you do so from 280 PL to an extent. Sadly that's arguably quite an extreme grind in the other direction with too few rewards along the way to get or keep everyone's interest. I've cared to get my head around the mod system - will casuals? So much of D2 does feel left unsaid or unexplained or assuming everyone played D1. My mate has no clue on any of the story of who the races are and keeps calling Taken ghosts(cos they look like it and were only briefly referenced in story) and whilst it's something not so relevant to me I do think it's a huge gap now I've had my attention drawn to it. The other thing - D1 was, arguably, actually too grind heavy. I feel like as an adult I can get my adult friends to raid/nightfall ready levels easier; as they haven't got to put so much grind in where I can. D2 is naturally compared to D1 - but I think D1 didn't set all the right benchmarks and we have to wary of that. And ultimately I'll argue the point I think matters the most: how much have you played Destiny? I imagine I've already done at least 50 if not 60+ hours with about 290 PL average; so still lots of room to up all 3 of them to max. How many other products on the market offer such potential gameplay time for cost? I really don't think it's all that bad. @Choze do forgive me if I've mistaken you; but am I right in thinking it was you who ground your Light level up on D1 mostly through nightfalls and other game stuff over raids?

Hey! Saw you post about Hue in the PS+ thread - I finished last night and I was just wondering what you thought of the story in it, for what there was?
-
Deffo agree folks should check it out. It's a fairly nice and simple little puzzle platform that has a great aesthetic for me, both in its simplistic silouhette visuals and its soft piano soundtrack, as well as being a short commitment. HLTB clocks it in somewhere around 5 hours max I think and it also looks to be a fairly easy plat - the trophies barring one are basically 'play the game' trophies Gameplay wise it's fairly simple; colour changing puzzles with a bit of platforming. Nothing about it is too terribly challenging(in the way puzzles kind of are or aren't) though I did get stuck on one or two rooms but solved them with a bit of time or a break. Can kinda see the issue with pacing - I think I stuck with Hue knowing it wasn't going to be too long a game but really it's a minor niggle. As you'd expect it does introduce more elements as it goes along, and I felt those were generally done quite well to add a bit of freshness as you go along. Deffo recommend it. It isn't overly difficult despite my struggling in places, but something about the game makes that feel kinda ok either way.

If there's a spare space for the nightfall amongst anyone this weekend or so do gimme a shout - destiny app or ps4 messages probs best over here as I'll get the notifications to my phone as they happen (in theory)
-
Ahhh, was about to say jump in with me and Psychick but I see you guys have managed to get together! I think communication around destiny has got a bit fractured with here, psn, destiny app and personal comms too! We didn't manage it; let me know how you get on!
-
Not 100% sure but I think Deathjam has also said @MilaGi may join - have you guys both done it for this week already? I've also agreed to now do it with a Psychick and BrokeGod but my priority atm is folks who haven't done it here!
-
Anyone up for potentially doing Nightfall with me and possibly Deathjam at some point this eve?
-
I'm obviously somewhat on the Destiny train now but I do still enjoy(err...team depending ;)) OW! Just woke up too well and actually playing a quick bit now before I go nap again. Gimme a shout on here if your organise a thing, or Flink/Eenuh can give me a shout on le WhatsApp.
