Desolataaaarrrrr rreeeaaadyyyyyyy. Sorry, I know the RA2 unit quotes a little too well. I think the music and what not are placeholders considering Frank Klepecki(sp?) is doing the music again . I'm intrigued by the secondary functions you mentioned. Is it a case of you have to press a different button i.e. X for primary, Y for secondary. Or, which would be more logical, select it it in the units options to use one or the other automatically. Though if you had a group of different units how then would you change between primary and secondary fire? I'm hoping it keep up the difficulty of the previous installments, i'm not fussed about the slower pace. Red Alert as a series was never as fast paced as CnC anyway. It'll suit the console version more too. Bring on November, hopefully enough people will buy the console version for some awesome multiplayer . For the motherland!!

I'm glad to see such Mass effect appreciation. I'm on my 3rd play through, at least I was until I got RRODed. I just love the benefits of having your upgraded character. Especially being able to avoid certain fights using Charm/Intimidate. The story really appealed to me and I can forgive the lag during parts of it.

I guess they're super pro at fixing them by now.

Ok, Microsoft got my 360 yesterday in for repair and are sending it out today! Is this indication that it's probably a replacement rather than a repair?

Mines being repaired as we speak. I wonder if i'll get a magical Opus board.

Ah rightio thanks. Hopefully it'll get picked up tomorrow, UPS have been reliable with me in the past. Good to know I should hopefully get an upgrade in one way or another. One thing that I haven't been able to get any information on, do you have to pay for subsequent repairs after your first?

I booked a UPS collection straight away so that kinda stops me from taking mine back to the shop... I decided to pack it myself I didn't know they sent you an actual box. I guess i'll have a box for the next time it breaks. I don't know whether i'd rather have a replacement or a repair. If they replace it whatever went wrong with the last one will probably happen again, on the other hand if they repair the parts but not solve the underlying problem it's going to break again anyway. Would you get one of the newer models with the cooler chips if they replaced it I wonder? Also one question, it says print off a receipt and return label. What do you do with the receipt?

I just got a RROD tonight too. Had it 11 months, which is probably longer than some people. I know it's one of those inevitable things though it sucks as i'm left with just Wii. I'd rather set up the N64. I've got Bioshock in the post too. Gutted. I set up a repair request online which is probably all a guy on the phone would do. It started freezing like on startup, or a minute or too after I'd loaded it up. Then I got the dreaded RROD. Wierdly I turned it on 5 minutes later and it loaded up but froze on the 360 startup screen, turned it off and on again, worked fine until I tried loading up GTA. Left it 5 minutes more and it's back to the RROD lol.

Raw Deal, 6th day, Predator and Red Heat have also been on last month. I'd personally like Conan the Destroyer because it's hilarious.

I'm not surprised at all by what they announced. I don't know why they keep banging on about "we've still got games for core gamers". In my opinion they haven't and probably won't anymore, i'd rather they just admitted they're catering for the casual market and focus on that.
