  1. I'd say it's as good as Goldeneye so far, I don't think any game can actually beat it. It was a 'right time, right place' kinda game. How the hell do you get past cameras without setting them off? As for multiplayer even though it's the CoD4 engine it plays a lot different, enough to separate itself as its own game in my opinion. Unlike CoD: WaW which looks exactly the same except being set in WW2.
  2. I got it today. Had a quick run through in multi player, don't want to do much single player as I haven't seen the film yet. I'm enjoying it so far, it's very Goldeneye like in many ways (would only be able to describe what exactly to die hard Goldeneye fans) and it even has Facility as a map. The cover system is actually pretty cool too.
  3. Personally i've always felt the series has been way over the top. Mind controlled squid, tanks with brains in them, hulk like mutants, tesla troopers, etc. It'll be the gameplay that decides this for me.
  4. I've got it on pre order. If it isn't good I can send it back. I think a lot of people are judging it unfairly to be honest.
  5. Hell March 3 kicks ass. Bring on the bizarre units and crazy storyline!
  6. Ah okely dokely, i'll add next time i'm on live
  7. Shit. I'm the only person in the world it seems who hates that Diana girl. Stupid elephant man speaking bint (with owr without cheww). Hey ho.
  8. Hmm, yes. That is extremely anal.
  9. Pre ordered my 360 version yesterday. No way in hell would it run on my laptop .
  10. Man if this is worse than Bioshock then I think i'd probably brick myself playing this. Bioshock had its tense moments, same with Resi 4, but it wasn't a constant thing. Eventually you'd just get used to it. I might pick this up when it drops in price as i'm a huge fan of the Alien franchise (bar the last 2 films).
  11. Yep, I had the same thing when I got mine back. The CD drive they replaced mine with is pretty sucky too.
  12. You're not seriously going into an asteroid field!! *DOOOO DEEDAADOO DOODEDAAAAAAAA DAAAAA*
  13. I cancelled my pre-order because I don't seem to be getting this mystery code.
  14. I read about this years ago. The theory was that this mysterious Planet X fucked over Uranus' (haha, no) axis, hence why it's totally different from all the other planets. I can believe that if it did exist and was coming the government wouldn't say shit. However it's too big a secret to be kept in this day and age. Surely if it happened in the past people survived it anyway so I don't get the doomsday bit.
  15. I interpreted it as Rapture rising from the depths, being rediscovered e.t.c. In other words a sequel. I just hope as much effort went into this one as did the last one. I'll never forget one moment in the first where I was in some room and it filled with smoke, the game turned me to face the wall without me knowing, the smoke clears and I turn around... AAAAAHH JESUS, SLICER! BOOM. HEADSHOT!
  16. When in the hell do you get the BETA code? I got a code through GAME which I signed up on callofduty.com with. All I got was a theme pack?
  17. Well wasn't it Micheal who framed Bellick anyway? So it's entirely possible he could get his job back. I didn't like Bellick much in the early series but i'd like to see him get some sort of side story.
  18. No i've not but if it ever gets repeated I probably would. Looks interesting. I really hated T-Bag in season 2 though I must admit. When he killed the vet and that woman he dated for a bit. I think he'll be one of those characters which will either end up dead or in jail.
  19. T-bag is one of those characters I like but shouldn't. He's a psychotic killer after all. It's very clever acting and script writing which allows such a person to move past the generic serial killer stereotype.
  20. I hope plenty of people get the 360 version like me. I'd like to try the co-op mode with a real person as the computer opponents feck me off. I'd have to agree with the designers that even the single player game has been suited to co-operative ever since the early games. How many missions have you had to team up/protect a computer opponent and it pisses you off because they're not up to scratch. They attempted it in RA2 with the online multiplayer missions but it never worked out because the majority of people left half way through.
  21. Feckin yanks why can't they keep to a weekly schedule, it's bad enough their months and days are screwy compared to everyone else. I missed my fix yesterday lol. I was looking forward to the recurring 'Lincon verbally/physically beating down computer nerd dude' scene. The show has really picked up as to be honest I thought it was a bit lame to start with. It's good to see some side stories forming and separate plots. Anyone think computer nerd dude is going to side with the company? After all he has Wyatts number. Hahaha someone else who loves Mahone. Me and a friend of mine think he's the best character in it. I think the Haywire thing affected him more than anything else, the way he kept thinking he was back from the dead following him around in Sona. I always felt sorry for him in a way. I laughed, and cheered...when I saw him in The Dark Knight. Shame Joker kicked his ass.
  22. I've been following the development of this closely too. It looks good graphically, so it's really how the gameplay and multiplayer hold up. Looks like they've really paid attention to detail with the level structure in comparison to the films. That, in my opinion, was why Goldeneye was so good because it really made you feel like being in the film. I'm hoping on the multiplayer more than anything, and considering it's Treyarch they can't fuck it up. The Arcade mode sounds like classic Goldeneye
  23. My Falcon died 11 months after purchase...
  24. Oh dear... looks like the shitness of series 7 and 8 is set to continue. D'oh.
