Pretty much guaranteed to get saddo cheaters on this. It seems quite fun and I for one would actually prefer to play it fairly. Unfortunately most people aren't like that and will just google...

I got Broken Steel on release and haven't even attempted the missions yet either. Been too busy doing quests I hadn't done before just because of the increased level cap.

Angry Video Game Nerd certainly shares your feelings for the NES version. Funnily enough I 'thought' I liked it when I was a kid. However playing it now I realised how low my standards were at 6 years old. The game is bollocks. I could never really got into the SNES versions. They were miles better but I don't know there didn't seem to be any POW to any of your moves. I'll keep an eye on this though. I'm a sucker for scrolling beat em' ups.

Well I got Turtles Arcade for XBLA. I must say it's nowhere near as fun as Streets of Rage. If they sort it so there's actual hit detection and more than one move I might be interested.

Confusing episode (for a change)

I'm a little confused about Broken Steel. Can you still take on side quests that you haven't done? Or is it just the new main story missions. Also it increases the level cap yes? What if I downloaded The Pitt afterwards, would I be be able to get XP from missions within it if i'd downloaded Broken Steel beforehand?

Played a bit of survival mode today. Best we did was 5 minutes 58 seconds which i'm pretty damn proud of considering it took 2 tanks at once to take us out. This morning the best times were in the 8 minute range, now they're in the 18 minute range! Either there's been some glitch exploitation or some people are really, really bored.

Hmm so if they did a series 9 it'd continue from there I assume. Pretty good little special. Had some good typical Dwarf moments here and there but I felt a lot of it was drawing from old jokes from past series. Some of the new material was good, some was a little off.

Apparently the entire cast are up for a new series. Though i'm not entirely sure I want one. Some of the jokes have been good but some are a bit naff. Bring back Rob Grant!

The despair squid is a pretty good theory. A lot of evidence points towards it. Then again I thought either Katerina or the Cat might be a Polymorph lol. The reason I say Cat is because he keeps leaving little gold origami things around the place. Did anyone else pick up on that? I did enjoy this episode a lot more than the last though. Didn't actually miss the laughter track to be honest and there were some pretty good jokes. All the references to Series 9 though, no offence but I don't want another series with Kochanski unless she gets leaves in the first episode.

LOL I'm glad I wasn't the only one doing that then. We literally wasted hours doing that...I played the demo yesterday, wasn't really impressed. I couldn't find a gun anywhere, didn't really know what was going on. Soldiers were attacking me for some reason and after a while of beating people up with a hammer I eventually died. Didn't see much point in going back.

Well, i'm a pretty big Dwarf fan so I have been looking forward to seeing what they came up with. Hated series VII and VIII personally. The characters seemed to change somewhat, Kryten became a blubbering idiot, Cat was even dumber than normal and Rimmer was just way over the top. One good thing about the new episode is they all seem to be back to the way they were but it wasn't overly funny. I'm kinda just watching it for the story.

Hmm, that's a bit annoying because I want to wander around and do other quests but I don't want to end up getting Broken Steel and having no quests to get XP other than creature killing.

How does the increase level cap with broken steel work. Can you go back into your main quest and get XP again or is it just the DLC?

Does The Pitt increase the level cap? I've reached level 20. It's a shame because there's so many quests in the game I haven't done and I just know I'd get a load of XP for it.

I'm not really sold on Venkmans dialogue to be honest. I don't remember him being that arrogant. Although the in game bits where pretty decent.

I love Pure, doesn't get the recognition it deserves. I wasn't too keen on Burnout Paradise. I just wanted to have a list of races to jump into, not drive around a city and stopping at traffic lights.

Has Worms been playing up for anyone else? Every time I join a game I get booted out back to the menu.

What if the actors who did the ME1 characters do the ME2 characters just with different voices I'm thinking the same person doing like 10 different characters in The Simpsons. I agree though it is a stretch. I don't think we'll be waiting a year before we find out the real deal, that's too cruel.

I think this being the 'default' setting if you don't have ME1 is looking the most credible theory. Though the whole continuing with past decisions leads me to believe he's still alive. Looks like shock tactics to give us something to talk about for a year. I must say the artwork for the new locations looks amazing.
