I've no idea where else to stick this so i'll put it here for now. Basically i've had some Guitar Hero drums for about a month now and for some reason the yellow symbol has decided to die and stop working. It's not a battery issue either. I'm just wondering where to go from here and if anyone has suffered something similar? I'm not sure if it's the cable attached to the symbol that's broken or if it is the symbol itself. How would I find that out? I tried the other symbol but it didn't work but i'm not sure if you can even swap symbols anyway. I've looked around and seen some replacements on Ebay (reliable or not is anybodies guess) but the problem still remains as to whether it's the cable or symbol. If it's a common problem i'm hoping someone on here has some suggestions.

Bought Point Lookout today. It's pretty good. To be honest I don't need much of a reason to justify buying another chapter for this game. It's just awesome exploring new places, getting new weapons/quests etc. I'm enjoying it so far although the enemies seem to be pretty hardcore. I had to scale the difficulty back down to Normal just to stop dying. Nice difference in location too despite I haven't found much yet. The next DLC sounds a bit random though, boarding and investigating an Alien mothership :P

Shouldn't have watched Transformers 2. Didn't like the first I thought it was bollocks. The second though, jeez. 2 hours of Megan Fox not acting, 10 minutes transformers. Shit humour, even shitter script. Also man what the hell was it about? Some random robot kid wanting revenge for no reason. The Fallen? LOL Best battle ever, so good it was over in 2 minutes. What was with the really shit army defence. "Megatron is guarded by 50 million sonar nets!". So that'd be one sub that gets blown up then, brilliant. The best security in the world guarding some metal thing, can't stop a metal tiger though. I think it deserves a 1/10 for the lolfactor of people dying. I'll stick to Bad Boys 2 if I want a Micheal Bay film. Ah well, only my opinion. I'd rather watch something, well.....errm good.

Yeh I think you had to press and hold A for the weapon wheel. It was pretty revolutionary for the time. It may not have been the first FPS to use it but it definitely was one of them. I had to replug in my old N64 and this yesterday just through all this talk. It's still as fun as it was. I forgot how hard Perfect Agent mode was. Looking forward to seeing the achievement list for this, hopefully there'll be some nice online ones in there too. Totally forgot about the Goldeneye guns cheat for Single player too

L for scope I mean as Cube said.

I still remember when I first got the game. It being an 18 and I clearly not being 18 :P. I was amazed/sickened/surprised at the amount of blood in the game. I don't know if any of you guys spent a good couple of hours plugging scientists with arrows and knives....

Haha I have also great memories, some of the best in fact, of this game. It was my childhood game. I thought we were the only ones to do the whole "shotgun - slow mo" scenario. Clearly not . It's just hilarious when you shoot someone in the face! Although I wouldn't mind 4 player only plus bots (i'm thankful it's even online) surely there's a way to replace bots with people. I mean it could handle 12 players in a match originally even if 8 were bots. If there going to so much effort then they might as well go the whole way. Imagine capture the case with 4 teams of 3 .

I have been waiting for this for years. My god 2 games i've wanted for a good 10 years, a new AvP and PD. Both in the same year *jizzes* Don't want to sound arrogant but I was pretty much a master of the original. Got to Invincible:3 in multi-player. Could pretty much headshot everyone. Though I think I/we will get our asses handed to us thanks to rejigged controls. Who wants to call the button mapping now? I reckon; L - Aim L + up/down (d pad) - Crouch R - Shoot X - Reload A - Activate B - Secondary function Y - ??? Sticks - Move/Strafe. I think that's a pretty safe bet. Though let's face it the PD controls were slow. However by making them faster surely that'll compromise how good the AI is and you'll breeze through the single player. I'd personally like to see an aiming sensitivity bar installed but don't have it so fast that it makes you stupidly good against the original AI. Though I could totally be underestimating the work being put into it. Updated AI? Would make sense I guess. Not so sure what I think about the face mapping feature. I think Rare would try their utmost to stick it in, they were pretty disappointed in its removal. Why does it seem as if the guns have new textures compared to the old screens? Surely it's not just because it's HD. The only thing that's going to frustrate me is getting everything I had in original, all over again :p (Took 7 years to reach invincible rank) EDIT: Achievement for finding all the cheeses?

Unless they get a stupid amount of people, like in the hundreds of thousands, the majority will still buy the game. I intend to buy it as, let's be honest, how many times can you play the same 4 campaigns over and over. Also it's true what someone has said that if it was released as DLC it'd cost the same as a full game anyway. Why are PC gamers the ones complaining anyway? They get their games for peanuts, complain when you pay £40 for a new game.

It looks awesome but i'm worried it might become a bit stale. Depending on how many 'events' there are in each race the player will become accustomed to where they are. I'm just wondering how quick it will get to the point where no one gets affected by the events because they're too predictable. I guess the human element is where it gets its longevity as you're not going to know when someone decides they want to activate a bomb. I can see a lot of people just activating everything in the race instead of leaving some and actually having a bit of a surprise when something doesn't go off. We'll see.

Same here, i'm always good in these games. I tried being a bastard in Mass effect but it just wasn't happening. Always ended up being the good guy.

Well it was obvious it was Luis but that title I really wasn't expecting.

Well that's what I thought but just look at the CoD series. Plus a revealing doesn't necessarily mean it'll even be out this year. Am I right in saying it's not technically Valve who make L4D? I thought it was some independent developer. -

I don't think it means the same levels but say like the same town, or somewhere else in the airport? I would've preferred entirely new places myself but we'll see how it turns out. It runs along the same timeline as the original, be cool if you saw the other team escaping or intersected with them. -

There's a rumour going round of a Left 4 Dead sequel being revealed possibly entitled 'Left 2 die'. Featuring 4 new characters in 4 new scenarios but in the same locations as the originals. 1 new special infected possibly and more guns and melee weapons (chainsaw, axe). Sounds pretty credible to me considering they were asking what people wanted for a Left 4 dead sequel not long ago. I would've rather had some new DLC though. I guess we'll see. Even though it's essentially the same game i'd still buy it. -
I really wish they'd gone bankrupt after the Dreamcast. Christ they're desperate.

Man those fecking Super Mutant Overlords are everywhere and waaaay too powerful. They must have more health than anything else in the game. I don't mind the odd encounter but I was exploring the DC ruins and must have come across about 5 Overlords out of 9 mutants. They just. Won't. Die! Is there anyway to take out the Mutants once and for all after Broken Steel? I told Elder Lyons about where they were held up thinking it would lead to a massive purge on the Vault and nothing happened...I was really expecting a side quest.

Seems to be a lot more cinematic in the story telling which is pretty good as i'm expecting the multi-player to be exactly the same as the one in COD4.

I saw them in Wembley too, and like god knows how many other places. I only got into it because of this game and it really is a lot of fun. I own a real guitar but it's not really a fair comparison. Guitar Hero is a game at the end of the day, it's no guitar sim.
-
They are indeed very fun to play. For you guitar hero vets i'm sure it'd be even more fun. Question, what would be considered the better guitar. Pre GH3 with no slide or GH:WT with slide. I have a GH3 explorer but I find solos a bit hard and I can imagine the slide would make it easier but i've heard the strum bar sucks on the new style guitars.

Been playing this since March as I imported lol. Been trying to get hold of drums cheap on Ebay but it's not going well. People seem quite happy to pay retail price on 2nd hand products (which is like everything on Ebay). I love it personally and i'm getting the hang of Hard mode, which bearing in mind I hadn't played much of guitar hero before this is pretty good. It's a lot of fun playing band mode, be even more fun playing people I know.

Hang on a minute? They had a countdown...to another countdown?! LMAO!

So much for only 3 episodes of DLC. Could do with increasing the level cap to 50 for the last one. I'm nearly at 30 and i've hardly done Broken Steel just been pissing around completing quests I didn't bother with as i'd maxed out my level. -
I love Sopranos too. Has so many memorable moments. I was borrowing each series through a friend of mine and I was pretty much going through half a series a week at the start. I got the entire boxset for Xmas and I only recently finished watching through it all again. It's great to see the character development too. As for the ending I really was expecting something big to happen, like the restaurant to explode or they all get shot. I think I preferred the ending as it is.
