I decided to explore up North today, bumped into Paradise Falls. I decided to take on the slaver task. Went to Rivet city to enslave some guy and everyone went apeshit at me!
-
Is it normal to spend hours on this at a time, like, a day. I must have been exploring and wandering for most of today. I'm really starting to get the hang of it, may even bump it up to Normal.

Discovered that Moria(?) bitch in Megaton and her quests to get you adjusted to the game. I wish i'd found that earlier but I didn't realise the place was only locked at night. Finally found an empty bed to sleep in to. Don't think i'm ready to go up to Normal though. 4 raiders nearly killed me...

Nice to see Freedom Fighters in someone else's list. I really love/d that game. It had great sequel potential but it wasn't to be. It's weird how the GC did so average in sales despite all of us having rather large collections. Mine being; 1080: Avalanche Battalion Wars Eternal Darkness Fire Emblem: Path of Radiance F-zero GX Ikaruga Killer 7 Freedom Fighters Hitman 2 Mario Kart: Double Dash Metal Gear Solid: Twin Snakes Metroid Prime (NTSC) Metroid Prime 2: Echoes Paper Mario: The Thousand Year Door Pikmin Resident Evil 0 Resident Evil Resident Evil 4 Starfox Adventures Super Monkey Ball Super Smash Bros: Melee Star Wars: Rogue Leader Timesplitters 2 (re-bought it) Timesplitters: Future Perfect Wave Race: Blue Storm Viewtiful Joe Zelda: The Wind Waker (NTSC) Zelda: Ocarina of Time/Master quest (Disc only) Games I have owned; Burnout Burnout 2 Geist Medal of Honor: Frontline Second Sight Super Mario Sunshine Timesplitters 2

I'll give it another go on a lower difficulty then. Is there a shop around, in Megaton maybe? I got loads of stuff I reckon I can sell.
-
What would you guys suggest? The only side quest I have is finding some gang called The Family. I went where I was told and there were a shit load of mutants so I gave up on that.

Got this game yesterday. I must say it's very overwhelming. I'm not entirely sure if I should be dying as much as I am. I get told to explore somewhere and get owned by stuff I can't kill. For example, i've just been told to go find the Galaxy News station. So I head in the direction i'm told and hit some city outskirts. Few moments later i'm killed by 3 raiders, one with a bazooka. All I can kill it seems is dogs, rats and wasps...

Wow, my hype meter for this just dropped to -10000000.

Surprised anyone enjoyed this game so much. I noticed it does seem to hemorrhage achievements.

I feel sorry for the poor bastard who created this hologram world.

I don't have much hope of a PSP developer matching anything like what we saw in FRs game. Shame.
-
I don't think it's even the same build. Apparently everything was scrapped from FR's battlefront. So we will probably never see this game, in that form. I still don't get what happened with Lucasarts, did they take the project away because FR was in financial trouble or because they didn't like what they saw? If it's the latter then they're the ones who should go under.

There's some early Star Wars Battlefront 3 footage that's been leaked. It looked so awesome and now it's dead. The ability to fly from the planet surface into space was so cool. It's such a shame this game will never come around.
-
Yeh as I said before there are a lot of achievement glitches. Hopefully they'll be fixed.

True, it probably was the same thing but i'd like to know how it happened. Perhaps that's how they discovered they needed a countdown in the first place. I'm really hoping the losties have gone back in time to the original battle between Dharma and the others. That'd be great. Even better, the losties are the others... whooa mindfuck.

Makes me wonder if Jacks dad is actually dead. Remember season 1, there was no body in the coffin. Apparently the creators said everything in the show has a scientific explanation. So that kinda takes away the paranormal aspect for me. I always thought that Jacob was trapped in time somehow. The island has probably 'moved' several times as there is an episode where Richard (the other others) meets Locke as a kid and subsequently gets pissed off at him for giving him wrong answers in some test. One thing i'd like to know more and hasn't been talked about since the early seasons. Who the fuck is behind Dharma and what was the 'incident'? It's like the creators totally forgot about them or something. Although I think my doubts maybe premature as I saw what looks like a Dharma dude in a yellow suit confront Faraday in the trailer.

Is it me or does the dude look like Anakin Skywalker...

They can barely make good games anymore let alone a console. No deal.

I understand he fell in love with her and basically is just a complete idiot. However due to the fact that I didn't really care much for the characters I did feel as if i'd done the whole game for nothing as has been mentioned. I'd agree with Alex though. I actually cared what happened to her. I think the storytelling in PoP is unique but not in a way it did it any favours. Essentially the player chooses how much they want to know about the characters through the 'conversations'. Interesting idea but I found myself just pressing the R trigger so I could get the conversation out the way and move on. Elika isn't a bad character and i'm sure through a few more cutscenes it may have worked better. It's just a shame the majority of the dialogue was like having a history lesson. "This city was home to such and such and...", I don't care...

Just completed it and I must say, what the fuck! Basically that is THE worst ending i've ever had in a computer game.

About a week ago I got the Blue plate (last one for me). Is it me or is there no difference between blue and red? I did the training and I didn't get it, you just bounce around in exactly the same way. I've given mine a rest for now as I can't be arsed to go back to it. It's a shame really as this game has potential to be so much more but I feel you just run from one area to the next. In fact there's speed run achievements for just that.
-
I pretty much always mistime the QTEs so she ends up saving me. If she does save you it's because you missed the button press or didn't press it enough. I'm always pressing it when it comes up with X, Y, whatever, but it's never good enough.

To be fair achievements aren't new in any way they're just repackaged. Back in the days of the Megadrives and N64s we would do the exact same challenges i.e. completing the game on a certain setting, doing a level in a time limit, to obtain cheats. I tried for years getting the cheats for Goldeneye. Now the cheats are replaced with achievements. Though I must say I preferred cheats as they actually change the game experience once obtained. Maybe i'm wrong but I don't see cheat menus in games anymore. Stupid stuff like unlimited ammo, invincibility etc. I'm all in favour of achievements, as they add extra challenges to games, it's just a shame all you get are gamerpoints and bragging rights. As for ones i'm actually trying to get on purpose? Well the only game is Left4dead. Headshot the witch, completing it without shooting your mates, without being healed, and completing it all on Expert are the main ones.
-
No I know but I felt as if it was a bit cheeky lol. Also it'd go towards that achievement. It's like get through the game only being saved so many times or what not.

I can't seem to a combo going which totally rapes their health. All I get is like 4-5 hit combo and they either stop it or it does sod all. That being said it is an enjoyable game. Is it me or are some light seeds only obtainable by killing yourself? There was one somewhere, where no where lead to it. No plates, as far as I know, went through it. In the end I just had to double jump into mid air and land on it...
