  1. Did anyone here get tickets? My friends and I are off to see the football, some horsing, and a bit of Greco-Roman wrestling. How did we score such high profile tickets, i hear you ask? I know someone on a commitee. Unfortunately it's not the Olympic commitee. They are shit tickets.
  2. Really enjoyed all of Brandon Sandersons books, so bought this: Hoping it to be similar, or at least as good.
  3. The last minute of 'Rises'. Eeeeermageeeeerd!
  4. Well any that happen near your Uni should be on the Uni website (probably in the careers section). Otherwise you could just choose a large company in the area you're looking at and see where they are displaying in the next few months and follow them. Assuming the big companies will go to most of the Fairs...
  5. Yes but if you enjoyed Goldeneye, (and who wouldn't) then you would pay for each level, and end up having paid for the full game. However, if it is a shittier game, like Sonic 2006 (to steal from another current thread) then you may well give up after the first level having not paid anything. I don't think that's too crazy. With the film analogy, if you walked out after the first 20 mins of a film, and only had to pay for that 20 mins, you would be 'quids in' as some people (not me) might say.
  6. I wouldn't mind doing it this way, if the overall cost of playing the game was in-line with the current cost of a full game. That way, if i liked a game, i'd play it, and i'd spend around £40 doing so. If i didn't like it, i'd only have spent £5 or so playing the first few levels, and i'd have saved myself £35. Clearly the reloading thingy is ridiculous though, that'll never catch on.
  7. To be honest Animal, i'm amazed you managed to find friends with such strange names. You really need to make up with this 'C' person, otherwise you could end up with being friends with A, B and Greg or something similar.
  8. My friend and I are always on the lookout for co-op games, so we just bought Brink in the steam sale. I've heard bad things, but we'll give it a go.
  9. Toy Story Origins: Mr. Potato Head
  10. What is up with that guy's face?
  11. Ha! On youtube it has 273 dislikes, and only 4 likes.
  12. I would imagine that the sort of things that are attracted to a dirty kitchen in Australia are far more of a deterrent than in the Uk (or China)...
  13. Did you have one last year? If so, how did you afford it then?! Unless student loans are a lot larger than when i was at uni.......*reminisces*
  14. That's a bit cringey. It's like something you would do in private and would be embarassed for anyone else to see you doing......and yet she's filmed it and put it on the internet.
  15. Hmmm, i think i disagree with John here. I think there are distinct aspects of black culture, that are different to white culture, and there isn't anything wrong with that. The bit about black boys doing badly in school because they are worried about acting white is rubbish, and may even be slightly racist in itself, implying that all white boys do well at school, and black boys can't. Again, if people start to see the term 'choc ice' as derogatory, then fine, don't use it. But i don't think it's imflamatory on it's own. I'm not very good at expressing my opinion, so i'm sorry if i'm coming across as offensive. Anyway, this is in the wrong topic probably, i'll shut up now.
  16. You need to be careful that doesn't catch on, FT.
  17. I suppose so....but i always thought the term 'choc ice' meant that you act like a white person culturally, while being black on the outside. Obviously I can't really comment, but i don't see what is offensive about that. Still, if people did find it offensive, then obviously there is a problem anyway.
  18. Not denying he may be a twat, but i don't see how saying someone is black is racist. It's certainly not hurtful to call someone black is it? There's definitely a large difference between this and the word John Terry "didn't" use which is supposed to be an insult.
  19. Wouldn't Peter's arm break before the ball? I can't be bothered to work out the physics, but i'm fairly certain the ball would have to be moving at a fair old lick when it leaves his hand in order to do that much damage from that distance.
