  1. Yeah sorry guys, I keep forgetting about it. The games a bit stale tbh. They should mix it up a bit and allow you to play more than 4 up front.
  2. Yeah, it was all I could afford at the time. Not very future-proofed. It's not really a gaming laptop, as I only usually have one Steam game installed at once. Up until now that's been fine to install on the SSD with plenty of room to spare. I never run into trouble on consoles either, as I only tend to buy a couple of games a year. I've never filled one up! I might look into upgrading the SSD actually, although it's time that I lack now, rather than money.
  3. Well the game is around 30gb, but no, I have no idea what the final unzipped size of the update might be. Yeah, but that would mean either redownloading the whole game, or transferring the whole 50gb worth across to the other HDD, which would take years, since it's done through an SATA connection (I think? It might even be older than that. It's slow. ) That would appear to be my only option though. I think downloading the whole game again and trying to play it off my slower HDD drive might be the way to go.
  4. Yeah, once installed, it deletes it all. It's only during the updating process that it unzips and dumps all this crap. But I didn't have enough space to allow it to do so, so couldn't install the update. I looked on forums, and apparently it's a common complaint (especially with Payday 2).
  5. And he was the most pessimistic person.
  6. So my friend and I were going to have a quick blast on Payday 2 on Saturday. Loaded up my laptop and fired up Steam. Straight away, Steam said that Payday 2 needed to download updates in order to play. Fine, thinks I, I'll just wait, but after 20 of downloading, my computer says there's no space on my hard drive. So I check, and the downloads folder for Steam has hit 17gb and is still going. I clear as much as I can off my SSD, but it's only 110gb, and payday 2 + this insane update file is taking up nearly half of it. Eventually, I got to the point where I couldn't delete anything else off my laptop, and Steam was still trying to download the update (21gb and counting). I gave up. There's no way to play that game now. I checked, and the update is only 4.5gb, but the way it installs is to uncompress itself first, and then delete all the guff, so the interim size can be enormous. This is why I'm firmly console over PC, because this shit is ridic.
  7. I didn't watch the game, but I'd be surprised if Tottenham managed to best this:
  8. My first console was the N64 - Bought it with Mario 64 and Banjo Kazooie. I remember being so excited and trying to play it on my grandparents tiny, tiny tv in their kitchen. I ended up only owning 7 games for it, as i was poor and didn't get much pocket money.
  9. You're just saying that because yours is so low.
  10. This Emily Rogers person is clearly loving all of this. Whoever she is.
  11. It did take me a whole 5 minutes to make.
  12. I am being super super serial when I ask for my name to change back to bob please.
  13. Could I possibly go back to just being bob? Turns out masquerading as a doctor is illegal.
  14. Wasn't the first Titanfall an Xbox exclusive?
  15. Nintendo release three big games in one year?! That's unpossible.
  16. The main one being that you have to watch cricket, presumably?
  17. Yeah, you can just march into the head's office with a holdall and yell at them to fill it with money, or you're out of there.
  18. I played and completed Journey last night on the PS4. Took me about 90 minutes from start to finish. It was pretty good. Kind of a one off though. I don't think I'd want to pay more than about £10 for it (although in this case, it was free). Some of the scenery was really beautiful.
  19. That depends...do they look hilarious in hats?
  20. 1) What's your dream job? Not really sure. Unrealistically, i'd love to be a ranger or safari guide in Kenya or Tanzania. Learn how to track animals etc. Not sure there's much market for that though. In terms of what i'm actually qualified for, i'd probably like to work in the renewables sector, or at least doing some work that felt useful to society. 2) What are you actually doing? I work for a small engineering consultancy who specialise in automobile dynamics and suspension, currently working on a (i shit you not) flying car. 3) Did you ever envision yourself in what you're doing now? No. I always hated cars.
  21. Do you think data miners set off for work with a little hard hat, a pickaxe and a canary?
  22. I just went and checked. It was Jayseven that locked it. The bastard.
