This is the problem isnt it. They had a whole year to get the Wii U out ahead but wasted it. Now that they are starting to make an effort with advertising and a few new games they are doing it at the worst possible time with massive games coming to consoles other than their own and two new consoles which people will be more likely to see as actual next gen than the Wii U.

Tomb Raider wasnt considered a failure because it didnt meet its own costs, it was considered a failure because they expected it to do well on its own (which it did) but also make the money back on another game that did flop (I forget which one)

Phil Fish tends to bring a lot of hate onto himself with comments he makes or reactions he has but he doesnt deserve the absolute hate people have for him and the comments he gets daily. I cant blame him for wanting to leave the games industry with the kind of shit people say to him. Like Patrick Klepek though, im not convinced this is actually the end of Fez 2. Marcus Beer can fuck right off though. I absolutely hate this trend of gimmick game commentators. Any of them who use negativity as their schtick like Annoyed Gamer or Cynical Brit do not deserve to be working in that industry.

I tested IGN on it just to be sure and it took me to the UK one.

Mine just updated to 4.3 and my location is fine.

I think even launching the Wii U with something that actually used that bit of extra power it had over the current console could have helped its perception with the public but nothing I played looked particularly impressive and even the ports were mostly lazy with ones like Batman suffering from pretty bad fps issues at launch.

I dunno, Pikmin isnt for everyone. Even when I was actually into Nintendo I never liked the Pikmin games.

Those are the exact same four games I own and ive barely played my 3DS in a couple of weeks either. I doubt I will sell it but I also think this will probably be the last Nintendo console I will buy. The disinterest I felt with the Wii U seems to have carried over and I think I am just bored and done with Nintendo. I'll just carry on working on my SNES collection for any of the older games I actually want to play.

I was planning on getting one but the UK stores seem to be taking the £199 preorders for the 16gb which is a pretty big rip off when compared to the US prices so unless Google offer a better price I won't be bothering.

Yeah ive got a fat 80gb and apart from having to replace the blu ray laser its running fine. Its been a long generation so im happy with how its done considering how much more can go wrong these days.
