New PS4 firmware I downloaded earlier seems to have brought back that restart issue people had last year (including myself) where the console restarts to the safe mode menu but none of the choices work so you just keep getting looped back to the menu Sony had better fix it quickly!

Nearly bought that today myself but still seemed a bit more than I'm willing to pay these days for a blu ray.

I tend to go back and forth on which controls I prefer. At the moment its controllers because I'm in a leaning back phase while playing games so dont want to sit up straight to use the keyboard and mouse lol Definitely need keyboard and mouse for MMOs though. I used to play DC Universe Online on the PS3 and theres just too many things you need to be able to do and using a controller just makes it all slower.

Im just gonna say this because I always do after a few months but we really need the forum Minecraft server back.

WoW always seemed to be the one MMO that I stuck with for longer than a week. Granted I think I only lasted a month anyway but thats better than most of the others lol

Due to difficulty or boredom? I made it through first time and I'm just working on unlocking all the characters now. Two left but I'm having some issues beating those so far.

Yeah that's what flameboy told me as well but the console never did. I just think its one of those things that should always be there instead of having to pin it. Anyway I've had my rant. Don't want to bring the thread down my constantly moaning as others obviously like the console (however misguided that may be :P )

DC do take too long. Its still because they consider single issues to be the main income so they want to give as much time for them to sell as possible before people have an alternative. Makes me glad I dont read any of their new stuff anymore so any stories I want to get should already be in trade (if its still in print though which is a whole other complaint).

I dont think ive ever got a platinum. Trophies just never seemed to hold the same appeal for me that achievements did on the 360.

I bought an Xbox One on a whim from ebay a few weeks ago. Not planning on getting much for it apart from a few exclusives as I prefer my PS4 but I was looking forward to the Masterchief Collection later this year so decided to go for it. I think this is probably the worst system I have ever owned OS-wise. First of all I hate the design of the dashboard but that was something I already knew would happen as I just dont like Metro. The rest of my problems just come from weird choices MS have made like not having the settings on the home screen by default, having your games/apps in a different section that has to be loaded into and a load of weird install/download problems where when I first try to install a game the system keeps tripping over itself trying to install and download updates at the same time and never managing to do either. Googling this I found it was a known issue and the fix was to cancel the installation, disconnect the console from the Internet, install the game, reconnect to the Internet and then download the update. Ridiculous. Speaking to @flameboy I know this doesnt seem to be the case for everyone so ive no idea why it happens to me and all the other people complaining about it on the net. It looks like my Xbox One will take the same place as my Wii U, as an exclusive machine thats only used every couple of months. I was hoping to at least use the TV stuff but with Kinect's voice stuff still not working brilliantly I havent seen anything that would make me use it over just the normal TV. ....Still, looking forward to Halo in November lol

I think my problem is that I just dont seem to feel the same way about those games as I once did. Smash Bros will maybe hold my interest, I'll see what happens with the new one, I've never really managed to click with the 3D Zelda games but will be trying again with the new one and as for Mario, Im burnt out on the 2D games and just kind of enjoy the 3D games on occasion. None of them though are the draws for me that they once were. As for the actual thread question. I will keep an eye on Nintendo in the future as I always have and see what they are offering. Maybe picking up whatever they bring out later down the line. The ideal situation for me though would still be being able to buy their games on other consoles. That would remove any hesitation or risk I felt by buying their hardware and I would still be able to get the occassional games I wanted to play.

Got a job earlier this year working in a School office. Im not a big fan of having to deal with parents/kids and answering the phones (none of which was really the job they originally advertised) but it is nice to be out working again and making some money. Cant see myself staying there more than a year though as I only work 4 days a week on pretty low pay so I cant afford to live on that forever. Its nice at the moment though. Summer holidays so no kids/parents/teachers and working 3 days a week but still being paid for 4.
