I still kind of feel that if Nintendo did become a third party, they'd end up a developer on the level of Valve or maybe Naughty Dog. The type of dev thats respected enough that they can just put games out when they are ready.

It needs to be remembered though that in order for conversations to actually flow, discussions might drift from time to time and maybe people could cool down with all the complaints. I doubt anyone went into the various threads this has happened in, looking to talk about Nintendo going third party. They will have read something and replied and it just went in that direction.

@dazzybee its not really something I talk about all that often which is why I was wondering. Yes I would probably prefer them to go third party with their home console stuff but stick to their own handhelds. I dont think the arguments that similar products dont sell as well on other consoles holds all that much because simply, those similar products arent Nintendo games. I think a lot of gamers would jump at the chance to be able to buy some of these games without having to get yet another console. Especially a console at the moment which has an uncertain life span and lack of support from third parties. There have been a couple of Wii U games I would have bought released last year but I certainly wasnt going to pay money for a whole console just to play them (ignoring for a minute that I already had one and sold it). I think though if Nintendo had the support of third parties then the argument would be entirely different. The Wii U would feel like a well rounded console and not just a Nintendo machine. Its enough for some people of course but as the sales have shown us, not enough people anymore.

Why am I mentioned in this?

I guess they need to figure out soon if diverting those resources to the Wii U is actually making a difference to that console. Otherwise it starts to hurt both of the platforms and not just the Wii U.

As for the Wii U hurting the 3DS. Im honestly not sure but looking at the upcoming lists that have been posted recently I did notice that there was only 2 games that I'm actually planning on buying. Might have to come back to this question after E3 when we see how much stuff is unveiled for both consoles.

The reason the boards are the way they are is not because of negativity or people deviating slightly off topic. Its because of a few members deciding they dont like what people are talking about and getting annoyed about it. Unfortunately they've just done another interview recently where they talk about the journey Laurel needs to take before she becomes Black Canary so it looks like that's still where they want her to go on the show. They did mention though that they know people haven't been happy with her which is something.

Maybe should have put that in spoiler tags though. Im sure it probably would have been ruined for me elsewhere but it would have been nice to get surprised.

I think that would just put it in direct competition with regular tablets and while they are more expensive than you are suggesting they would also be more powerful and sleek with better screens etc. It would need a redesign as well to lose the "fisher price" look.

I had trouble playing MH3U, it felt a bit old fashion in its design and controls but its a series that I think would be great to see on a powerful next gen system and its design pulled a bit more into the present. With Nintendo having the main line of that series at the moment it seems like one that could have been a great showcase.

Dont really want to speak for @Rummy but I doubt when he asked for a source he wanted some graph which could have been mocked up by anyone. Some of the stuff you say probably is true but you very rarely actual provide proof, like we are all supposed to just take your word as gospel and acting like an arse telling us is based on stuff "ALL OVER THE INTERNET" doesnt help. Its not his job to look up information to confirm your point.

Not the best episode of the season and a bit of a throwaway villain but it was still nice to get the show back. Watched the preview for next weeks episode though and that looks great!

To be fair the PS4/Xbox One version have had actual work done on them so I don't know how you can say the PC version is already better. There's a reason there are petitions going around to get the Definitive Version released on PC as well.
