Happenstance

I watched it the other day and it wasnt good. The acting is pretty poor and they try to cram too many story points into a 2 plus hour movie but the thing that stood out to me straight away was the weird audio mixing. At first I thought the fact that you could barely hear the sound effects from the beginning fight scene over the music was a weird stylistic choice but then I started hearing voices dropping in and out from a conversation later on as well. I think they spent all their CGI budget on Al's suit as well. Pretty much everything else does not look good.

Its possible as well that the worlds would have to go back to being split up into sections if it was ported to Switch. Of course there's also the stuff you can't see as the extra power isn't just relegated to graphics. I have no idea obviously but its possible the monster AI and monsters battling each other draws from this extra power.

Working from home today and feel like I'm getting so much more done. Kind of wish I could do this every day.

I think the fact that they warned people right at the beginning that there would eventually be a charge for online multiplayer means that they will charge for all the current games that are currently free as well. I think its a slippery slope anyway to have some games free and some not. You treat it as an online service and not on a per game basis.

Finished printing my Mass Effect pistol. Got more sanding, filling of the middle seam and priming to do before I can start work on the paint job.

Damn it. Just wasted 4 hours on a print that I took out some supports that I shouldn't have. I really need to make sure I pay close attention before finalizing files

I dont think Agents of Mayhem doing badly necessarily means we wont see any new Saints Row. While it was set in the same universe it didnt have the branding. An actual Saints Row titled game would have a lot more pull.

I'll hopefully go see it next week but I've been hearing great things about it so far.

So have people watched the season finale yet? Overall the show did grow on me throughout the season. I think they still have issues with the crew and need to give them more screen time. I couldn't tell you half of their names other than the obvious ones but by the end of the finale they made it obvious who we are supposed to know. The Klingon redesign though....I doubt I will ever be onboard with that.

To be honest if Mourinho ever became Liverpool manager it would be enough for me to stop watching until he was gone. I think he is a complete piece of shit and would never do anything to support him.

Finished painting Baby Groot. Still a shame about the shifted layer but other than that I'm happy!

For the basic printing settings I am using Ultimaker Cura for the software but I have Meshmixer downloaded for when I need to start splitting prints in half and these are both free. If I get more into it I may consider buying Simplify3D as that seems to be the best.

Printed Baby Groot today. Really happy with it up until the forehead where a layer seems to have messed up. I'll probably just use this one to practice the paint scheme on.

Finished my last tests. The larger one was supposed to be a bit more complicated but because I stupidly forgot to set the infill to 100% the finer detail and words didn't come out. I at least know my mistake for next time though.

That’s a shame that it got delayed but I should probably use that time to carry on playing the others. I only got about an hour into 3 before getting distracted by a newer game.
