  1. The first two posts in direct opposition. The geometry and textures are rather poor, but the models look quite nice and I can overlook anything else in the graphics for the great use of beautiful vibrant colors.
  2. I was unaware of a user called Jim. Boy howdy do I feel sheepish. Anyways, my point somewhat stands in that occasionally people use other members real names which can get a might bit confusing.
  3. I've got like 43 hours into this now. I need to take a break though, the DSlite just isn't ergonomic and my right wrist/thumb hurt.
  4. You just gave a perfect example.
  5. I don't think it takes away from the community atmosphere at all, and it certainly doesn't make users seem more like faceless chan users unless they just post meme's constantly.
  6. That is true, but Muse are rather shite.
  7. Seeing as how this is a forum of a gaming site, where people can come to nerd out, I don't see the relevance of threads pertaining to peoples daily lives or random photos. This isn't another Social Networking site. That isn't meant to be against getting to know people outside of their nerd-dom, just that daily happenings aren't the point. Something exciting or big happens (have an accident, win a contest) that'd make for a better thread than HWYD. I look at pictures in a similar way, go to a tourist location and take pics? Keen. Posting pics of a random party? (likely like a dozen other random parties) bleh. For the other conglomerated threads, I think some sort of middle ground is needed. They were hard to jump into without the feel that your post would just be washed away in a sea of prattle. Which certainly seemed like the case most of the time. I think the Anime and Film threads were easiest to jump into though, at least easier than Music. On the other hand, there are so many various films, musics, and anime (ok nvm that one, the only talk was about naruto bleach and anime vs. manga) that clutter seems inevitable. We'll have to wait and see. To be honest though, I already like the forums more now with the more...segregated approach to finding a topic in any given medium relevant to ones interests. Ala, Scott Pilgrim and Tron Legacy threads.
  8. Suffragette City
  9. By emotion and power do you mean completely ruining a great song?
  10. I got a minute five, but it's just whining to me. Back to Chapelle.
  11. That's okay, I have an irrational hate of female singers. Like, can't stand 99% of songs sung by a girl. This isn't necessarily due to them being female, it may just be a bad song.
  12. I don't think even Trent Reznor prefers the original...
  13. From the trailers, it looks like Cera is doing a decent job of not playing himself. Dunno how close the Pilgrim he is though.
  14. I made it until the singing started and quit. Soz.
  15. Doesn't really compare to the Tegan and Sara original, but it's different and I like it. I also second Johnny Cash's cover of Hurt. Gnarls Barkley did a grand cover of Gone Daddy Gone(by the Violent Femmes) as well.
  16. I almost posted that too....
  17. My buddy is getting the same thing. By installation. Yes. Maybe, download to find out, it's free.
  18. It's unlocked, I'm downloading now.
  19. Everyone knows straight up cola is the only pop worth drinking. Ala Coke Cola << Did not read thread and doesn't fully know the relevance of his statement.
  20. Some enemies will run when you're much stronger, some still charge and metal slimes always run when they notice.
  21. I need to start collecting all the books. I haven't read any of them. The movie however, has me hooked just from trailers.
  22. There are times (probably too many) where monsters are unavoidable, but they still are. It helps to know their charge patterns, some only go a short distance and others don't turn. Those are the easy one to avoid, the hard ones follow you, I've found that when they get close making a wide circle will gain some distance again, but that really only delays them and doesn't work in dungeons. They also stop when they hit a wall, so a sharp turn can sometimes lose enemies, and there is also a second or two delay before they can charge again. So, get them to hit a wall then run past while they lounge about.
  23. I've already laid my pre-order down on the CE for this. It'll be my second, and Fallout 3 was my first. The set pieces look much grander than Fallout 3.
