Her? I don't understand what similarities with that picture and this thread you are insinuating. I was one of the drivers on the trip so I got to drive up and down the hill many times. Luckily my car was pretty much brand new as opposed to my mates who had to buy run down dying little cars with barely enough life in them to get up that treacherous hill. I stayed nearby, you go up the hill down the road a few miles and it comes into a sort of valley where we stayed on essentially a farm with space for campers. Took a while to find any place that would take a group of 9 lads.

Aren't there a lot of films based on the book/ adapted from the book? Why not accuse them of not being close enough to the book? Just because it deviates means it isn't going to be exactly as you thought so it should still grab the attention of people who have read the book. I want to read the book though, it is on a list of things to do eventually. I liked it up until the other characters start turning up to ruin Smith's day. His bit with the trap is great and the talking to mannequins was amusing.

Can't believe no-one has said this yet? I love the food in there! Particularly the Garlic bread with caramelized onions. And its not ludicrously expensive. But yeah, La Tasca (our local closed down and changed to something crappy now) and Wagamamas I also think are nice.

I wouldn't be able to get to that Southwest meet, but I just wanted to add that about two years ago I went on a camping trip with ma boyz to just by Porlock Hill/Minehead and went to Taunton. Porlock hill was great to drive up/ fly down. A girl from my course also comes from Taunton but she's a bitccccch now.

Yeah but you analyse every little thing about it, I watched it without any care for its influences its history or the people that acted in the film. Some of the old corny parts were funny where obviously that wasn't the intention and the story was a bit far-fetched but it kept me and my mates occupied for a little while and we had some good laughs, exactly what a good film should do! EDIT: That wasn't a jab at you (in case you took offence), I enjoy reading your thoughts on films (the rare few we've both actually seen), but you go into a lot more detail than me because you want to.
