So ruined my evening (girlfriend not happy) and now I'm awake. FFS.

So I just majorly failed in front of two good looking girls in my spanish module. In a group exercise describing people, I said this guy is 'guapo' (beautiful) instead of 'gordo' (fat). It didn't sink in until like 10 seconds later when they started smiling and I was like OHGODOHGODOHGOD GORDO I MEANT GORDO Luckily, 5 minutes later, some guy did it even worse (he's crap at spanish so he gets things confused ALL the time, maybe if he paid some attention he'd get better!). He said his job is interesting because he gets to work with his 'novio' (boyfriend) but the sentence was all wrong and the teacher was like, "I dont know what you want to say?" So he went quiet for ages and I thought he was attempting to come out subtly by saying he gets to work with his boyfriend. What he meant to say was he has an interesting job because he works with his girlfriend. Everyone was sniggering during his pause, which although quite insensitive was so hard to suppress you couldn't really blame us. I don't think he knew what he did wrong either :p Tl;dr FUNNY JOKE IN SPANISH WAS FAIL/EMBARRASSING. :p

That's the way the cookie crumbles folks, I don't think any of you would be moaning had you been the lucky ones with money and a rich (albeit corrupt) russian owner! Sure Newcastle don't have a great replacement, but with that money you can build a solid premiership club and work your way up from there. I have tickets to see Chelski v Liverpool on Sunday, going to be even more awesome!

I think the standards really vary for food. Drinks obviously not so much :p Went to one here at university and bought profiteroles which they obviously had just defrosted since the iceream/cream inside was still frozen solid and still had ice on it! We get nachos sometimes as well but buying food in a 'spoons is a rarity because it really isn't that good usually.

What precedent would this set?What would the courts change? The test to determine homosexuality or the way people may be deported? It is down to the discretion of the home office to decide about deportation. I'd like to know what you think would directly change as a result of this compared to many other similar cases that have been processed already through the courts.
