Had my pay discussion today and having spoken to my friends, seems I've been given a lower pay rise compared to them despite getting really good feedback. I suspect this may be because I'm due to be moving to a new department that may not pay as much. It has irked be because my hard work over the past year has led to nothing and I have to stick around in this department for at least two months next year so I'm considering just coasting. However I can't help but feel the need to do a good job so doubt I'll follow through with that.

Essentially yes your new company screwed up and should have sorted out old and new but you still have to pay the tax so really it is money that should have been paid this year. It will come out on a monthly basis next year as your tax free allowance spread across the 12 months will be reduced to pay it off across the year. Essentially you've had a bit of extra money than should have done this year so could be construed as a benefit...sort of.

Depends if you count old league, that was all about Oddy (I won some too)! I'm still chipping away but been focusing on team so lost a few games here and there in middle league waiting to be strong enough for the top league. My first game was ridiculous, dominated in most aspects and lost 1-0. Results like that just make me frustrated with the game, yes there needs to be luck but that already makes me less likely to play. Sad to see a few big names bowing out but it happens. Can't get rid of me just yet though!

I thought Buffon had a decent game, he made a fantastic save in the first half. Unsighted and going away from him to stop Neymar's volley. He did parry Messi's shot into Suarez, but it had a bit too much fizz to be able to catch I think.

How Vidal wasn't sent off I don't know. What was he thinking that first 20 or so minutes?? Barca's front three are simply mesmerising at times and had enough chances, think at least 5 v 3 twice in the game which they wasted. Not quite the same spectacle as last year but still a good game of two top sides. I don't think any English team deserved to be in that final against those two. Maybe Chelsea :p

Sorry I was a little unclear. My mate has gone to Canada which made me think about Silverstone, given it is easier to get to for a first time to a GP. Great answers though, will have to consider the 3 day ticket if it gets the fourth visit day as well! Thanks

Fellow F1 fans, I have questions for those that have attended Silverstone/ any GPs. My friend is off on a trip to Canada to watch the GP this weekend and I thought it would be a great idea to finally go see it and get another ticket as a present for my dad. Though I think he'll be in the US for 2015, I'm just a far ahead thinker for 2016. Just a couple of questions: a) When do tickets normally come out? Research suggests January? b) Is it a worthwhile experience? c) Would you recommend general admission or another area/ ticket type? d) Is it really worth going all 3 days or just for race day? Obviously, it is economically more efficient to go for 3 days as the price isn't much higher, but then you have accomodation/ travel time and costs factoring in to that as well. Any help would be greatly appreciated!
