  1. I'm literally watching it right now to make sure I'm not crazy, it's so ace. The bit where Aunt May breaks down is so so good. His suit is on point. Peter Parker and Gwen Stacey have brilliant chemistry. The villain's journey is totally camp – which some people could criticise – but I love it; his demented progression is pitch-perfectly tragic. The action is great. The sound design is awesome. Its self-awareness is borderline close to Deadpool. If I had one problem with it is that there are too many random soundtrack songs crammed in. Like the montage where he's pinning together his parent's past; what the hell is that generic indie-rock pop song?! Seriously, I think its damnation the biggest case of mass insanity I've ever witnessed. Holy Hell, and the bit where Gwen falls – fucking beautiful. Aaaand just to maybe confuse things more, I thought the first Amazing Spider-Man was a piece of crap.
  2. It's literally right at the end when he 'squints'. It's kind of hard to miss. Just to be clear, and now I think it back it's a bit picky, I like the emotive eyes; was great in Deadpool and I'm more than happy for Spidey to have them, I just wish it kept the blurred line between realism and fun. I think knowing they eyes are mechanical makes the notion that Peter built the suit himself completely unbelievable – and in a film where there's an incredible shrinking man and a sentient machine channeling the power of a mystical Infinity gem, that's saying something. And if Tony did help with the suit, well I hate Tony Stark so fuck him and what exactly is the benefit to Spidey? But then I think Amazing Spider-Man 2 is a brutally excellent film so what the hell do I know?!
  3. Iron Man v Captain America: Dawn of Handbags...at Dawn...and Spiderman There we go, three big names. Personally, I don't mind Spider-Man's suit. I do dislike – incredibly – how CGI it looks and I hate the mechanical noise his eyes make (I get it, they're mechanical and don't move like that naturally but I don't need to hear it). I miss AMS2's suit. Rest of the trailer was fine. No idea why anyone likes Stark. He's a grade-A cunt and my biggest criticism of Cap is that he hasn't called him to task about three movies ago; 'all that is necessary for the triumph of evil is that good men do nothing' and to me Cap is as much at fault as Stark's narcissistic brand of sociopath as the Man of Iron himself.
  4. Jesus Christ, just get Destiny. Don't be such a little bitch.

    Destiny

Yeah, I'll be around for then.
  6. I haven't played Destiny for months so don't think I'm picking it over this, Ha! I'm just not really taken with the game. The Beta was fine but beyond the countless upgrades – and I love me a good skill-tree – I was left a little cold. And I'm burnt by Destiny, slightly ironically. I'll pick this up when I see that it's had good and regular support, and when it's a little cheaper. Also, the story in The Division is complete white noise to me. I know in contrast Destiny's story is shit but I'm a big fan of any scifi and the lore of Destiny (and what Reddit pieced together) went a long way to satisfying me. I also just bought EDF 4.1 which is amazing and has couch co-op.
  7. Well, at least Games with Gold is offering some kind of competition. Maybe in time it will make Sony up their game(s).
  8. I'm not that bothered but I miss the days on PS3 when we got substantial retail games.
  9. Sounds defective. Me and Eric haven't had any issue with ours. I'm actually surprised how seamless it all is.
  10. You won't regret it. It's so discrete, I love it. Been so useful tracking my sleep.
  11. Christ, not another fucking twin-stick shooter.
  12. It's funny because everyone on that stage is on steroids.
  13. Awesome! I'll keep all those in mind. I definitely noticed that if I was unsteady that it was because my elbows were too stiff. I realised that it's not too dissimilar to balancing on your legs; the tendency is to stiffen your legs when you're unsteady which make everything worse, so bending your knees/elbows is the way to go. I've slightly tweaked my shoulder so I'm going to take it easy over the week but I'll try hanging with tightened shoulder to get a feel for the position. Great idea.

If you're looking for another person at any point, I'd be up for it. Love me some Trials.
  15. I think the best thing about the FitBit is the heart-rate monitor. I would really hold out for the Charge HR if I were you, it's the feature I use the most. The Surge doesn't really offer anything extra, the Charge HR is everything you need and its cheaper (£99 at Argos). Welcome to the club. I really love fasting. I just feel so much sharper in the morning. On a seperate note, I've decided to really try and incorporate more bodyweight fitness into my routine (again). This time my aims are a little more focuse, I'm going to try and work my way up to a free-standing handstand. So, at the moment I'm just working on the crow position I learned when I did yoga for a bit. And I'm hoping that gives me a good base for moving on to a headstand and a wall handstand. Anyone have any tips? I've no clue what I'm doing really, my flexibility is pretty bad in my arms.
  16. Still not got a problem with Unblock. Was using it last night.
  17. I promise you you'll feel much better for it once you're past the withdrawal (which may include headaches). That includes avoiding fruit juice as well, which is basically a gateway drug to more sugar.
  18. I thought it looked...lazy. And I don't really care that much for the original two. I hope I'm wrong.
  19. Suck it up mother fucker! Seriously, it happens. Just draw a line under it. Pick a day, maybe Monday – so you can fresh start to the week – and get going again. In the meantime, don't get frustrated or beat yourself up or feel bad, just chill. You've worked super hard. Just enjoy this break but promise yourself come Monday that you're going to be back on it, better than ever. Remember, this is all about the long game; the longer you keep this up, the easier it will become. Annoyingly that's usually off-set by pushing yourself harder BUT there comes a point where this health bollocks stops being something you're trying to do and just becomes something you just do. And you definitely look better. It's really hard to see progression in yourself. And I'm super proud of you, so don't let me down. Being ill blows, but again, it happens. Just listen to your body and take it easy. And the week when you're back doing exercise, take it lightly. There's nothing more frustrating than prolonging your recovery because you jump back in too soon. Also, stop eating sugar, it increases inflammation when you're ill. Seriously, sugar is addictive. It is a drug and you are an addict. Try and not eat sugar for a month and tell me what you think. One of the best things I ever did was minimise my sugar intake. Yeah, alternating weeks. One week I'm doing strength training, the next volume. Same with Bench on PPL. Monday I do strength training, Thursday I go for volume. I happily did 8 reps on bench at 95kg today. Super pleased.
  20. Two weeks, two months; they can take as long as they want.
  21. Today I did 100 squats in the gym. 10 sets of 10 at 60kg (that's a total weight of 6,000kg squatted ). Took 60 second rests, bat the last couple. Fuck a duck that was tough. Think I'm going to alternate strength with volume every week.
  22. I actually prefer Knack to the Lego games. Sadly. Ha! Each to their own. I wanted it to be more like Ratchet & Clank... It's a shame because it's pretty solid. It just doesn't really do anything even remotely remarkable.
  23. Lay off, Knack is shit. Nice art style but horribly basic game.
  24. Yeah, actually I have that pause at the start of the level, too. Didn't bother me much though. Just thought that's how levels started.
  25. I thought Broforce was dumb. After 10 minutes I kind of loved it, though. Had one bit of slowdown when basically everything on-screen was exploding, otherwise its performance has been fine. It's far from a mess from what I can tell, but only played it for 30 minutes or so.
