Isn't The Last Guardian meant to be out this year?

I have a tactic where I sprint as fast as I can and check off as many bonfires as I can before dying. Got all the way to the Cathedral yesterday without dying. Is it worth keeping your starting weapon upgraded if you're happy with it?

I don't get it, people upgrade their phone every two years. With consoles it'll arguably more important to update the tech (especially with PCs guaranteed to be the cutting-edge). I say release an updated console every few years.

Yep, hand in the Great Shit-Tree Boss' soul. Irithyll Straight Sword is currently my third choice weapon behind Arstor's Spear and my starting spear (because I infused it with fire which seems super effective against everything). I'm a bit of a n00b with how all the weapons work and scale so I don't know which weapon is best, I'm probably really missing a trick somewhere. Anyone care to explain to me what upgrading your shield is good for? Do it take less stamina to block? In other news, on Kickstarter... Dark Souls™ - The Board Game This got fully funded in under 3 minutes when it went live. When I pledged this morning it was just under £500,000 and now it's getting close to £600,000. If you pick it up you get all the stretch goals as a bonus which is pretty great considering how much funding it's going to get; that's a shit-load of bonuses.

I don't really think 5+ years cycles make sense anymore. Technology moves at such a speed nowadays. I'd be more than happy to see both Sony and Microsoft do a refresh after a couple years and then a bigger change a couple years after that. Also, having the base PS4 reduced would help get the machine into the hands of people who don't want to pay a premium price. I think Sony are right to be proactive and disruptive.

I'd upgrade. In fact, I'd be happy to upgrade every 2 to 3 years if they made sure to support the latest two consoles. Basically like how the iPhone works.

Sounds like you're a natural, tbh. I found the first boss one of the more challenging ones. Although, having said that I did start my New Game+ last night and did the first two bosses in a row so I'm definitely better than when I first started. I'll be interested to see how Dark Souls III differs. I've only played Demons' Souls before it.

The original Avengers and GoG are the two most re-watchable for me. Both great films, a really good balance of momentum, character and excitement. Thor (specifically the second) are the worst for repeat watching but I may be biased because they are absolutely awful adaptations of the comic.

Yeah, I misspoke. I meant say that there is no need to undermine someone just because their opinion doesn't mirror exactly what others are saying. But that got mixed up with my feelings that repeat views for me personally diminish my enjoyment of quite a few Disney Marvel films (so a 7.8 isn't totally out of line which what I might think after seeing it a couple times). Edit: And I'd be happy about that because that's a good score.

It's funny that IGN are going to take the heat for what is probably the most accurate review using a 1-10 scale. 7.8 isn't a bad score, it isn't even a mediocre one; it's a good score. Then again, they gave Age of Ultron 8.6 and that film is a piece of shit, so who knows until everyone judges it for themselves.
