The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom
EEVILMURRAY replied to Esequiel's topic in Nintendo Gaming
If I was going to get any Amiibo it would be Ganondorf because he's a badass, but the pose doesn't seem to have translated well into a model (with some more paint it could look better), but I hate that clear stuff they use to make them stand up. The dude is quick stocky, the base is wide, I don't see how he needs any support -
Star Ocean: The Second Story R (2nd November 2023)

I think they've gone too far with both ends of the graphical extremes here. Ultra-realistic environments alongside pixel characters which look very washed out and basic looks way too jarring. If they did the characters a bit more... I wanna say Octopath quality (?) it might be less off putting -
Watched this at the cinema today, much better than I thought it was going to be. My eyes dotting all over the place for all the lil tributes/homages etc. I think it's the music that made this for me* and will probably invest legally in the OST. *Not that dogshit Peaches stuff though

The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom

I've been pacing myself because of the fear of it being like Breath of The Wild, I have been hopping out doing some quests, but I'm starting to get less bothered. That being said I did complete all the Shrines and now I am a furry. Time to make Ganondorf my bitch. -

When is Strange New Worlds set in relation to the other series' timelines?

They seem to have added quite a bit. However it does mention that it was more of a summary of sorts was provided to Boris and his legal peeps, not the final version. Which was from the repeated assurances of Good Morning Britain. I didn't mislead anyone. Honest.

Boris Johnson: Privileges Committee Partygate report - DocumentCloud For ze report in full. I'm a bit confused as to why they're complaining about Boris whining about the report after they gave it him. I was under the impression that they were giving him the final version prior to publication, so he knew what was coming. Not only were they surprised he made claims about it (which anyone would see coming from a politician), but then appear to have gone back and revised it, implying the report wasn't completely finished at all.

It looks like it's relying more on fast paced combat moreso than exploration, which for me is the more important aspect of the Metroidvania experience, which concerns me a little as it shows promise, but if it's primarily a hack n' slash game, I doubt I'll invest.

The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom
EEVILMURRAY replied to Esequiel's topic in Nintendo Gaming
I just came across this quest last night. Wasn't too bad, a bit of a change in pace, especially as I got to some some nice mine carting for one of the things... But I don't think I could do be bothered to do this another 2 times. I'm about 5 hearts shy of a full 2 rows so I'm not that concerned, the main thing for battle is remembering to switch into my combat clothes. I'm mainly using the hiking gear (sans trousers) to travel around because fast climbing speed is essential to stop this game from blowing, switching to Zora shizzle to swim which I avoid if I can help it, but my main set consists of Hylian Hood, Tunic of Time and Zonaite slacks (for reduced power, and I was able to upgrade them ahead of the Slacks of Time because they didn't need Amber and I want all the fucking Amber to upgrade these things...) Yas queen. This is what the first game lacked immensely. Sure you may get a slight detour but you're generally back on your intended path pretty quickly. Tears of The Kingdom have me branching off far more, although not as much now as I've done quite a bit. I'm now using the Hero's Path (which I didn't know was a thing in Breath of The Wild) and looking where I know I definitely have not gone. Picture of a sunrise for a stable... I did a perfect shot, several actually, and it didn't recognise my genius. I was looking forward to these paparazzi quests, but if this the appreciation I'm going to get it can fuck off. -

At what point did you go to the Temple of the When I back round to this, as I've been neglecting it to focus on Warhammer painting and TV watching, I might give more of the autobuild stuff a go. I've watched a few videos with a few beefy builds, and stealing the fan from a shrine and making a laser windmill seems quite intriguing. Which can help with the Thunderdome of Lynels, even though the reward you get is a head piece of... -

I remember Finn calling himself Rebel Scum as an outside retort he wouldn't understand, but Disney raising their eyebrows like Milhouse going "ehh, waddaya think of that shit" Love it. And it doesn't turn Luke into a pussy. I'd rather they stuck with Snoke, in the same way returning characters popped in to pass the baton to the new people (before all dying), maybe a tiny ghost of Palpatine could've shown up a bit but with Snoke leading the charge. You had Kylo going nuts on consoles with rage, which I liked, then Snoke ragdolling people about, which was also nice. Then they just killed him without a second thought. Or maybe a decent explanation like you said, like Snoke was some sort of Rick Sanchez-esque incubator for Palpatine, who rose from his body like Snoke was a tauntaun The Emperor was napping in. His second deaths always annoyed me with his "Kill me and I'll possess you", Rey kills him and nothing happens, because she didn't kill him in the right way? They can't say she wasn't angry when she did it.

They weren't called The Rebellion in the later films, they were called The Resistance. They couldn't be any more different! Jesting aside, I agree though, the whole complete carbon copy of the original set up was bullshit. They could've spent Force Awakens having the First Order evolve as a sped up development of the Empire the prequel trilogy did, instead of saying "You know those bad guys we spent 3 movies going up against and then taking down in glorious fashion to the jubilation of the entire galaxy? Well they're back, well... don't ask how because we haven't hired the writers yet to make films and series' to bridge the 20ish year gap following Return of the Jedi... Erm, technically they're called the First Order now, but they have all the same stuff, oooh look, Stormtroopers with flamethrowers, that's neat right? And we've even got a bloke in a black mask, that's kinda dope. *two movies later* Oh yeah Palpatine's back, go fuck yourself" I keep saying I'll watch certain shows - Andor got a pretty good reception in this thread so was planning for that, and made a start months ago on Clone Wars series (I got about 5 episodes in)... but the saturation of it all just overwhelms me and I can't be bothered either. Even if they don't connect to each other apart from being set in the same universe, it feels like too much of a slog, compared to just single series' of other stuff you can watch in order knowing what is happening when. I'm currently watching The Good Fight. I know one mate who will watch everything that gets put out (and multiple times in quick succession), and my Facebook feed will be soon flooded with his latest cosplay attempts (which granted are good)

Word to this. Having a job you love is all well and good, but if it's liable to be taken away at a moment's notice, I don't think I could risk it (also for mortgage etc), and settle for the not-as-good-but-secure position. At least you've got something steady whilst you're on the prowl for a better opportunity. There were a couple of senior roles available on the level above me, which magically were handed out to a couple of people, bypassing the application process, which I raised an issue with. The main responses consisted of "they had applied for similar positions elsewhere and were deemed viable for this" and "I didn't know you were interested". If it isn't put out, how can I express interest? I also wasn't aware that if I was interested in a position that there currently wasn't a vacancy for, I should apply for similar roles on different departments, hope I don't get offered the job and kept in mind should something I actually was interested in became available. One of the people dropped out though, so a vacancy did appear. For the personal statement thing you have to submit with your application I enlisted the help of my immediate senior, and the one above her for advice and have a look at it. Got some nice feedback and amended accordingly. Wasn't even offered an interview. As was a couple of other colleagues who I know went for it. My pessimistic brain has me thinking that they had already given the position like they did before, but were trying to save face by creating a vacany page. But that's just me being salty. As I applied I had it in mind that I knew I wasn't that bothered, but I if I got rejected I'd be more upset than I thought I would be. But as the smackdown came, I didn't feel as sad as I thought, which was a nice bonus.

I thought they advertised we would be getting this, but we weren't getting the N64 one? (which is what I really wanted), I have fond memories of playing this as my first Harvest Moon, but really want to give the N64 version a spin. Maybe in the future... Now give us Plok naaaow.

How many missions would you say are at the Castle before the end? Because I know once I've completed it, I doubt I'll be going back, I will feel I've done enough exploring. Because I've done the four Temples and have my gangbang possé following me about, even managed to find 4 Sages Will, finally managed to get hearts on a second row, got my Ocarina costume and upgraded my battery thrice. Managed to add a quick airbike to my favourites of two fans pointing down with a controller between them, which I'm sure would make @Sheikah proud. So long as you pull back on the throttle during initial ascent you're alright. There's just no way of controlled descent. I also managed to be my all time record of defeating Lynels to 3. A huge improvement on my Breath of the Wild previous record of zero. All in the Thunderdome in the Depths...
