  1. I did try once and looking at an FAQ I know he had 20k health, counting along, once I got to about 12k he started the other attacks. That life draining sword attack ruined me, spammed it like crazy. I thought I would give it one last try before doing some more levelling up, this time I managed it, he only used the leeching attack once or twice so I only had to do a small bit of catching up, previous battles he pretty much healed more than I did him in previous turns. The end thing I certainly forgot about, bit silly, but not too bad. A solid game
  2. I was thinking more of Space Station Silicon Valley. A true classic
  3. turn into an elephant eh... rings a bell
  4. No I mainly took the enemies as they came beforehand, after doing a couple more enemies last night I took Kalas to level 70 and Mizuti and Savyna on 69, but mainly getting some good cards while I was at it, so Mizuti has some beefier spells and Savyna has stronger things to punch with. Maybe it was just my wank decks that were hindering me. I'll give it a go tonight and see how it pays off I've not done much on the family tree to be honest, I think I've filled 3 portions and that was it. Anyone I came across that needed something I couldn't be bothered to try some stuff/look at an FAQ. Just checked on where to get Kalas' Skull Buckle, so may swing by there first so they've all got head swirly things.
  5. I did a small tour and got the main peeps up one level. I think 5 was a bit ambitious... I'll need to double check my levels, but I think Kalas/Savyna/Mizuti/Gibari are mid 60's, Lyude and Xelha are about 58, because fuck 'em
  6. Was just here to post that! I was hoping that my ears were deceiving me and it wasn't Patton Oswald... But then he appeared. EDIT: Watching it again it got me hoping they explain this Death Chill a bit better, because it doesn't look like people are being frozen to death because they are being literally scared to death, it looks like they are being frozen because of a giant ice wave making razor sharp icicles queef out of the ground.
  7. Aye Blue at the entrance, done 1 level for the important people ready. May try one more and then try Malpercio again. Seeing at how much fisting it took for 1 level, 5 levels is a bit optimistic.
  8. I saw the first half and had to halt watching the second because it wasn't dubbed... But that first half was not inspiring.
  9. I think the boss was alright, just a couple of the puzzles being aggravating of not just walking out and walking back in, but having to sometimes go all the way back to the entrance to top up on more fire, and one of the dog things is always on one of the lift tiles. In Cor Hydrae naow, and been shafted by Malpercio thrice before loading up the autosave. I did the body gods without issue and levelled up after each one, and first form Malpercio wasn't too bad. But his final form I can't get a handle on. So I'm going to do some training (gonna aim for maybe 5 levels), which is kinda on me because I avoided every large monster on my way around this dungeon, but having to do 5 boss battles and then another 2 stager is exhausting.
  10. I think that's the order I've done too. Before I dipped back into the tower I thought I'd see if I could skip it as per your request, but if I tried to go to the final bit, Mizuti would chime in that her peeps need saving. Maybe once you start a thread you have to fulfil it. I didn't try it after just finishing one, so maybe it is possible.
  11. Is the Attack on Titan finale in episodes? On the Funimation app there's 2 things, about 90mins and 60 mins, which I think is it but they've got a load of bullshit recap "movies" too, which I am not bothered to watch again.
  12. Apart from the final battle, I think I only used him for the 1-2 enemies before I realised I know it's going to switch him in, so thought I might as well rearrange his tat to the best identical looking brass/woodwind instruments. Which I'm glad I did because Kalas got hit by a death ray, and unfortunately does not have a skull thing yet to equip to him.
  13. Go Eagles!
  14. I did Lyude's quest last night, which the smaller battles were fun but I knew I had to end up using Lyude in the main battle so started loading up his deck ready for the battle. Started Mizuti's and it took so many attempts to do that first floor puzzle. I just could not get the timing right. Did the floor below also before retreating back up to level up/class up Mizuti. I love the skull equips, +99 resistance to stuff and it only confuses me? Couldn't give a shit about the card numbers, great trade off.
  15. I can't see this ending well
  16. Bagsy Ganondorf.
  17. No need to set the bar so low
  18. Surely he's going to go through the James Pond games first, which are naturally a canon part of this series and should not be ignored?
  19. I know the feeling. Storywise it feels new, but some of the battle mechanics I don't recall being as grating, namely number of enemy attacks and how using opposing defence cards cancel each other out
  20. I must be optimistic he still has a grain of good taste within him. However... Maybe he will turn down the path of darkness and find that borefest fun... This day is getting darker by the day, on top of the usual daytime brightness change.
  21. You've been worn down by the industry to accept mediocrity! This is a sad day...
  22. Wrong mo'fo'. The constant returning to the same piddly-ass 3 areas made this game worse for me. In a series which gives you diverse lands to traverse, having to return to the same place with a few tweaks grated so much. The fun of exploration was sucked out because there simply wasn't anything new to explore. Main big exception was when they flooded the forest area, which could've been a new environment all by itself. It was simply lazy. And repeating The Imprisoned bit several times. Bollocks to that shit. It's been awhile since I played it (I was at uni at the time, so about... 17 years O_o), but was the tadpole quest where you were swimming like a zora making the tunes? I didn't find that one all that bad. Had to redo a couple, but it was something new. One thing I hated about the motion controls was the sword placement, it was a nice touch that you needed to slash in a certain direction to hit the enemy, but if your sword was the wrong side, you try to whip to the other side but you strike the shield/whatever. I don't think the developers wanted you to slowly arc your sword around every time, which you pretty much had to do to beat Ghirahim later on.
  23. I dunno about Paper Mario, I thought it pulled it off nicely. Waaay better than the Wii travesty. Second Sight I tried going through a couple of years ago. I get what you're saying, I had to force myself to go through some levels and haven't completed it. I think they tried to do too much, is it a sci-fi, is it a stealth, is it a shooter... I found myself doing the Hitman of trying to sneak and when I didn't hit that one millisecond chance to move past someone you're resorted to whip out the guns like Arnie and go Commando on everyone, with little opportunity to do some of the nice psychic action the game's USP was going for
  24. I was just wandering around Komo-Mai since I saw some of the Earth Children around so got chatting. Then began a quest to get people to carry the parade thing again. Missing 1 person but can't be bothered to look soon. I was happy I kept that adventure book, It was a choice earlier between that book and another book in which one I had to get rid of to make space for other stuff. On track for family tree? Oh I think definitely not. I keep trying to find the cook lady to give her the cheese but I can't find her anymore, I thought she was in the cloud castle place, but the kitchen has disappeared. I know where about 3 people are that need some stuff given to them to make them write their names down, but I think my progress is slow.
  25. @darksnowman how many quests did you attempt before trying to skip, all but Mizuti? I've only just done Gibari's after wandering about as I forgot about all the locations and sorted out the Guardian. I also managed to find my way into the Illusory Fortress of the Book, not sure if that is Xelha's or not, but I got bored of that quickly and headed for the FAQ to make my way through. According to that one of the family tree peeps is hidden in there, but wasn't when I went through, but apparently you have to speak to his children first. The journey continues.
