  1. Space battles were cool, but that's pretty much all I have to say about it. 3/5 As for Tarkin / Leia, I didn't mind it, though it didn't have my preference. Would've liked to see new actors cast. They already have the perfect actor for Leia (for the 3 seconds they'd shown her): Carrie Fisher's daughter.
  2. Bring on the memes boys. But that dog is hella cute, so I'm going to make that my 2nd amiibo even if I don't know who he is.
  3. A non-game related Penny Arcade being extremely on point: Edit: with "on point", I was reffering to George Michael, but, to no suprise, I just read a second after posting this Carrie Fisher has died as well. Might as well move this post to the bad stuff thread.
  4. Always a bad time to casually browse the store.. (and let's see if I can go through another sale without buying anything from it (oh actually.. Maybe I'll some games this time)) Anyway, I got Soulreaver 1 & 2 in the Square Enix surprise box. Keep 'm and play them, or give them away? Does anyone want Hitman Go (the boardgame spinoff)? Anyone playing Rimworld by the way? I have my issues with it, but there's definitely something there that keeps me interested, and it just got a pretty big update.
  5. Sounds interesting, but the trailed hasn't impressed me. Still, may give it a shot.
  6. Still don't know what to think, but I'm going to see it regardless, and will reserve judgement until then. That said, Denis Villeneuve hasn't let me down yet.
  7. I don't have a PS3. I still plan to get one some day, but I intend to get Zestiria and Berseria on Steam. I will never stop being pissed at Namco for not releasing Graces in Europe, so I'll never get Graces F. And I prefer to get my Cube fixed and playing it on the Wii in the meantime, rather than rebuying Symphonia on another platform. Out of curiosity, but what are the favourite and least favourite Tales games here? I was trying to find out if Zestiria was worth it, but every Google hit I checked had some different opinion. I've never seen opinions on the best games from a series vary so wildly. There are actually people who think Symphonia isn't that great.
  8. The OA was incredibly disappointing. I don't think we get anwsers to anything. The ending didn't really match with expectations, nothing indicating it would lead to that. Basically it just feels like they were making it up as they went along. The show basically hinges on whether she's telling the truth or not. That ambiguity would be mitigated if we could get some character development instead, but most of them don't get any. It's a shame, I liked the general concept, the cast, and the atmosphere, but I don't want to wait for season 2 for some kind of payoff.
  9. I'll skip this one, but it looks much better than the Megaman X nendo. I am getting this one however.
  10. Sonequa Martin-Green has been cast as the lead. That's actually good news, I like her a lot AND OH MY GOD DOES THAT MEAN SHE'S DEAD?
  11. Sense8 is getting a Christmas special on 23-12. I can't quickly find an official Netflix source, but it's been reported enough and even tweeted by the cast. This is looking very interesting, and will be available on Friday: How are these kids so fucking cool haha.. [tweet]778853607215132672[/tweet] Can't embed this. Edit: Oh and I heard something about a new series being made based on "Altered Carbon", some cyberpunk novels. Never heard of it, but sounds interesting.
  12. The first was was good, and the second one excellent. Looking more forward to this than say, Star Wars VIII. That said, I've looked at the release list for 2017, and it's looking more impressive in general than this year regarding the Hollywood blockbusters. Lots of stuff coming out I'm looking forward to.
  13. I was in the mood for replaying Symphonia, but with my GameCube more or less dead (and using the Wii not very practical), I may get Zestiria in the sale and then pre-order this one. I need my JRPG fix.
  14. The trailer features a character from the show, and I presume the comics as well.
  15. I can't see Spider-man: homecoming not becoming a succes, so therefore I can't see Sony not extending the deal. Edit: And Sony seems to agree, not even an hour after posting this, Sony announced a releasedate for the sequel (in 2019).
  16. Just from that 1 second first impression, "Zendaya" seems to fit in. Apart from that, I hope all those character names on IMDB are red herrings. Not having Angourie Rice play Gwen Stacy, would be an incredibly missed opportunity, especially if they want to mix things up even further by having her turn into Spider-Gwen. Angourie Rice was the third star of The nice guys (an excellent film by the way), and ever since her casting announcement, I want nothing more than her playing Spider-Gwen in phase 4.
  17. So I finally got to Gran Pulse in FF XIII, and apparently there is an open world, which looks much more interesting. But apparently, my system disagrees with something, and I experience crashes.. . But still in the mood for some JRPGs, I decided to boot up the old GameCube for some Tales of Symphonia. The motor seems to be dead.
  18. "Can we do a television series based on Le fabuleus destin d'Amélie Poulain? I love that film!" "No. Can't get the licence." "Crap. Well thow in some dude who can bring people back to life then." "Done." That's Pushing Daisies.
  19. He was the showrunner. He first stepped down as the showrunner to become executive producer I believe, but now he's out completely. Regardless of if you've heard of him, this fact alone isn't exactly encouraging, a showrunner leaving his show. But he had experience as a writer on older Star Trek shows, and had some succesful TV shows of his own. I loved Dead like me, and Hannibal and Pushing Dasies are also from him. Haven't seen Hannibal, and actually can't stand Pushing Daisies, but they were both popular series, combined with the fact he already had Star Trek experience (from the "good old days"), and his departure doesn't fill me with confidence in this show. On another note, there has been some casting news as well, Michelle Yeoh and Doug Jones have been cast (and some other guy).
  20. Brian Fuller is out. Off to as great start.
  21. Hmm, it appears they're releasing the first two episodes on 20-12. Edit: Preview (Javier's introduction):
