This is getting a western release:
-
Apparently, there will be a demo out today, when the e-shop updates! (I don't see it yet) https://nintendoeverything.com/valkyria-chronicles-4-demo-and-digital-pre-orders-live-on-switch-today/ It contains the prologue and first two missions, and a bonus mission exclusive to the demo? Importing the savefile in the full game will get you an item.

12 October.
-
So I said I'd start this after having downloaded this a while ago on my Wii.
-
Just started this, but I'll start a new thread dedicated to Chrono Trigger. I downloaded Zelda: A Link to the Past first though. I actually own it physically, so it was more of a convenience thing. Ehm, thinking about it now, that may have been a dumb decision if I end up buying the SNES mini, though I don't have any concrete plans to do so at the moment. Did the first dungeon quickly. Then I started Chrono Trigger.

The show will just be a realtime retelling of the episode The Inner Light.

4 years later.. And AI dominates the Earth. Well, or at least this match between a team of 5 AI and 5 humans. https://www.twitch.tv/videos/293517383

I didn't realize before that I want this.

Good call. I was thinking if they throw in some details about the online service for good measure, plus the fact that its releasedate is a huge missed opportunity to promote the online service.. A demo / beta is something that could migitate that. A beta to go with the launch of the online service, exclusive of course. From a business standpoint it's almost as good as releasing Smash itself along with the service. Plus a few extra surprise character reveals such as Rex and Chibi Robo. Hype.
-
That's incredibly weird timing. So soon after the last Smash Direct, but still a while to go before the actual release..
-
Because of your post, I was looking for a blu-ray release (Strangely, there's still no US release (Strangely, I try to get everything from the country of origin if possible)). I knew what the results were going to be, but anyway.. One of the "if you like this" suggestions, was The Endless. I suspect that one will also be up your alley. Just watched El Aviso right now, on Netflix (I missed it at a film festival), also pretty good. A Spanish mystery thriller about a cop who tries to warn a 10 year old boy because he thinks he's the next one going to die in the future because of patterns he recognizes. Similar murders happening in the past. Pretty good, though not fantastic.

I mean, didn't you watch that trailer? It's just a fun, relaxed, metroidvania light, except all the platforming replaced with (mostly) pinball mechanics. Yoku is adorable, and the whole atmosphere is just tropically whimsical. The only criticism is that it's never really challenging (basically you never get punished, at most you have to redo a section because you fell off a cliff or something), and it's pretty short. But if you like pinball and metroidvanias, this is a no-brainer.

Just like Monster Hunter, who's getting this (and want to get in some online action)?
-
Yeah but Earl Grey Coffee right?
-
I ehh, I am.
-
Having two shows airing together with I suspect two totally different atmospheres (but still in the same canon?). The old shows all felt like one universe.
-
I have mixed feelings about that. I'm cautiously excited, but if they're actually going ahead with a TNG sequel (of some sorts), they really need to nail that TNG vibe. Enterprise, being a new show, and more or less a reboot at that, has way more leeway. I'm also worried it's simply going to clash with Enterprise. And also, isn't he an admiral at this point, what kind of adventures is he going to have?
-
U dunno who or what. But I love the chibi artstyle.
-
That's.. not what I asked. But thanks for the info.
-
I have plans this weekend, but I'll start Monday.
-
Ha, should I join you? It was one of the things I downloaded on my Wii last time. I need to fire it up anyway to spend my remaining points. That said, I have plenty other stuff I need to play.
-
Who's actually getting this? And who of you are total noobs when it comes to Monster Hunter? I'm somewhat interested, but not sure if I want to actually get into this now.
-
What song(s) are you really into at the moment?!
Sméagol replied to Aneres11's topic in General Chit Chat
It's pretty simple really. It's that 80s vibe. A new one, for those who like pantsu: Funnily enough, the next video I watched after watching / listening just now, was an Arlo video, which featured Lumines, which apparently has some tracks from this producer. Funny coincidence. -
I'll admit, they're on the right track. If they keep this up, it may get to a point where I'm actually interested in this game (despite Smash).

No thread yet? Open beta is up for download:
