I don't understand how apples products cycle is 12 months and they have an 18 month contract so when they release a new phone their main userbase cannot upgrade
-
Last time I upgraded my pay as you go phone they knocked off £17 off the price of the phone. will they knock anything off the iphone?
-
UK is a week after the US release so that makes it the 26th right?
-
Announce the new iphone already! And bring down the imacs in price please!

When you apply electronically, its not even a minutes work to hit the reply button and type no thanks. At least then you know when you stand.

I'm in the situation now. I finished Uni in 2007 with a degree in Media Production. I didn't fancy moving to London therefore that cut my chances of a job striaght away. I decided I would try to go the design route. I ended up working for Hallmark, but I had to travel over 100 miles a day, it became to much. I then moved to Lincoln to take a job as a graphic designer, worked there for 7 weeks, the company went under, I never got paid and had to get any old job. So at present im on minimum wage and apply for every suitable job that comes up. No Luck as of yet. It's been 6 months now and it sucks. I really don't know they best way out. Or to try and go down another career path. You're not alone

Hmm this is a tough one. How are you with the technical aspect of photograpy? If your not up to scratch, then go to college and learn the ins and outs. How realistic is it that you will get a photography job without any qualifications in the subject? If ten people apply and 3 have no qualifcations, 4 have A Levels and the other 3 have degrees, 99% of the time the person who will get the job will have some form or education within the subject. Education isn't the be all and end all, if you dont go down the college route then make sure you get some experiance, wedding photography, wildlife, etc and build up one kick ass portfolio so you are able to compete with anyone else who has been to college. Or join the RAF as a photographer and get paid whilst you learn? Edit. The photography sector has a large percentage of freelancers and the may be the only option if there are no jobs at present.

I hope that the DRM isn't stuipdly restricted and the there isn't a limit on how many time you can download a game etc. I think it will be interesting how they price the software. Surely it should be slightly cheaper than retail, no box, umd and profit for the stores selling the game. Then again it can't be too cheap or sony will be underpressure from retail stores for unfair competition.

In that video the Sony representative touch upon a 10 year life span. I knew that was Sony's intentsion with the PS3, but I believe he was applying that formula to the PSP. surely that can't be Sony's plan. The PSP is coming to its 5th birthday this winter (?) i'd be suprised if they can nail an extra 5 years out the PSP. 2/3 years max and we'll be desperatly hungry for an update, I'm sure we can fit in 4 more revisions within that time scale don't you sony?

I hate carrying around alot of crap in my pockets and I'd rather plow my money into an iPhone. Sure it may not have the range of quailty titles, but it has internet, camera, phone and loads of other apps. Sorry Sony, stop rehashing the PSP and come out with something beyond everything else.

I hate nights like those you see a BIG mother f**ker and it runs down the side of your bed into the unknown. You try and find it, but can't. And you know its just waiting till you nod back off then its gonna crawl all over your face and in your mouth! I've spent a few nights on the sofa thanks to those 8 legged freaks. Good call.

I've never been able to find my way around flash without getting frustrated but I should sit down and give it some time because its pretty much a necessity. In fact, im gonna have flash learnt by the end of the year. It's now on my to do list. Give me a buzz when you have some spare time. edit: If you ever need any help on a production, filming, sound recording, editing etc then I'd love to get some hands on experiance. I graduated from Lincoln University specialising in the Single Camera aspect of the Media Production course.

Hmm do you think 650 is a little to high in the wattage department? I just want to ensure I feed the machine enough juice. At max I'll have processor, mobo, one gfx card, DVD drive, 2 x HHD. I plan to upgrade to a core i7 so I want to ensure I have enough power to allow that to thrive. Im 90% I won't want to O/C it.

Ghost Town This wouldn't even be a film worth seeing it it wasn't for Gervais. Lot of chuckles throughout, but under that is a poor story line. 3/5 (With Gervais) 1/5 (Without Gervais)
