  1. Is it finally time to unleash the most awesome character from the Zelda series?... チンクルパワー!
  2. It still behaves like a digital input, you can't adjust your speed with less pressure on the analog stick or anything like that. I only use it for the sake of comfort.
  3. You can actually tilt up on the right analog stick to accelerate in MK8 instead of a using button, that's how I play and it's super comfy.
  4. Which games are you interested in? I think It's going to be quite a while before I invest in a PS4. So far the only game that's really got my attention is Rime, which doesn't even have a release date yet. Quite like the look of Resogun as well, but that's not enough to justify picking up the console now. Anymore quirky PS4 games on the horizon? Would love a sequel to Tokyo Jungle.
  5. I've got my eye on it too, shame we still don't know when to expect it.
  6. Nice. How's that race around the equator between you and @VsPhoenix going? Every time I check the overall progress, one or both of your Miis are missing. I wonder if this update finally fixes that issue as well.
  7. Yeah, was just about to post this myself. New courses, cool! (still haven't completed all of the old ones ) Also... Really fun, ey? Interesting. Guessing it's just new Mii outfits though.
  8. I wondered what all these peculiar screens were from on my Miiverse activity feed. That Pigeon game needs to get released in Europe!

    Rime

Was there anything new on this at E3?
  10. Hehehe! I ended up loving that tune. It's cheese-tastic, but fits the style of the game and Bayonetta herself so perfectly: Loved quite a few tracks on the original Bayonetta actually:
  11. ... Glen-i, meet Serebii.
  12. @lostmario, something weird happened when you left the game earlier, your Mii jumped off the globe only to reappear instantaneously from the other side as if you'd just joined the group! I'm guessing that wasn't you in control during that race on Piranha Plant Pipeway, due to the fact that you came last and weren't trying to annihilate me every 2 seconds. So it must have just been some strange glitch. Also, how some players are at 7000+ on this already I'll never know.
  13. Well, voice chat is a separate issue, and again not really one that bothers me as far as MK8 is concerned. It's obviously essential for games that feature co-op or tactical elements, like Monster Hunter and the upcoming Splatoon, but in reality MK doesn't really require that kind of communication in-game. Don't get me wrong, I'm not saying it shouldn't even be a option for those that want to make use of it, because it absolutely should. Just that I personally don't see it adding anything significant to the gameplay in MK. In fact with 12 players involved, together with music and all of the various sound effects, I imagine it being nothing more than a complete and utter audio mess.
  14. Have those that dislike items in this version tried the tournaments feature, specifically no item races? I get that people simply want items to function differently rather than not have any at all, but still reckon that some of you would perhaps enjoy the game a lot more if you experimented with the customisation aspects. I don't have an issue with any of the items (even the coin) but still find no item racing to be a pretty fun occasional alternative to the chaos of regular online races.
  15. LOL @ "analysis machine enhance" aka Auto Levels in Photoshop.
  16. It's better than having them release on exactly the same day for sure, but still way too close. A week long gap considering the scale of Fantasy Life is nowhere near enough! As I've said before (sorry for being a broken record ) this wouldn't be so annoying if there was just such a large amount of quality software that clumping titles together was completely unavoidable, but the fact that we can go weeks, even months with absolutely nothing, to shit loads of games at the same time, makes it infuriating. I mean Nintendo finally got some momentum going for Wii U with the release of MK8, they need to keep it going by getting another big title out by the end of this month/early July (retail version of Wii Sports Club isn't gonna cut it) but instead it looks like there's going to be a 3 and a half month gap between MK8 and the next significant Wii U release. It's going to be the wait from DKCTF to MK8 all over again.
  17. Nintendo should've included an option for wireless connection with the GameCube controller adapter, so that it could also be used with the 3DS. 3DS XL + Kid Icarus stand + GCN controls would have been a pretty sweet setup for 3DS Smash.
  18. Yeah, it only takes a few days for a baby Mii to grow up. And yes, they can either become permanent residents of your island or an explorer for StreetPass. I made Charlie an explorer though, so technically he could appear on your island someday. That's an interesting point actually, I wonder how the game deals with a Mii having the same parent Mii across multiple games?
  19. @Hero\-of\-Time!: : peace:
  20. Cheers. But damn, that means it's out just one week before Smash. It definitely will, and what about when you factor in all of the other consoles, for gamers like yourself? Bloody nightmare. Same. Gotta admit it was pretty much off my radar until I saw it on the Treehouse vids, now I cannot wait to play it! Such a shame it isn't releasing earlier.
  21. You'll be back...
  22. If I chill out anymore I might flatline. Obviously less of an issue if you've only got a 3DS, but Fantasy Life looks like a huge timesink (not to mention awesome) so I'd definitely like to see it given some breathing space.
  23. So... looking at the release date situation for the rest of 2014, at the moment it seems like my next Wii U retail purchase is going to be Hyrule Warriors on September 19th. Really curious as to where Bayonetta 2, Super Smash Bros. for Wii U and Captain Toad Treasure Tracker are going to fit in. IMO at least one of those titles needs to be released before Hyrule Warriors, otherwise it's going to be yet another mess in the last quarter, with titles clashing all over the place. We've already got Hyrule Warriors out on the same day as Theatrhythm. The US are getting Fantasy Life in October, not sure if that'll be the same for Europe, but it's already a bad move, what with Smash for 3DS coming out that month as well, not to mention Bayonetta 2. Anyone else fearing a poorly scheduled onslaught of titles this Q4?
