That was amazing!! My God this game is pure gold. So many entertaining moments in the past hour, many of which had me pissing myself with laughter. Seriously, the comedy of being snuck up on and then splatted with the roller... it's genius. :awesome: Love the fact the gameplay is so multifaceted too, will keep this one interesting for quite a while I reckon. I'm not very good at using the GamePad screen while playing this though, the pace of the game makes looking down to check the map/super jump pretty tricky. Hopefully something that will get easier with more practice though. But yeah, this game is fantastic and I just cannot wait for May 29th!

Not me. I still haven't managed to beat that final challenge on Triple Deluxe, even by using the Archer ability.

Yeah, I saw it on the Treehouse vid posted above. I'd be happy just to spend some time messing around with that TBH, taking in the sights and sounds of the world of Splatoon.

So you do get a little single player tutorial before playing against others. Why the hell didn't they just allow that section to always be playable outside of the 3 Turf War times? Anyway, sounds like the early event went pretty well. Really looking forward to checking this out myself later on today.

Yeah, played it a couple of times now. I also like it, very simple but addictive game. I see you've started playing Hohokum. Be interesting to hear what you think of that "game", I'm absolutely loving it. Really feels like art that has come to life, and the sound design is just phenomenal. :awesome:

Will definitely be there for the afternoon/evening ones, probably won't make the 4am one though... Like Judd the cat, I like my sleep.

Not got the game yet, still not sure whether I'll get it before or after Splatoon. Have you tried playing it just looking at the TV? Any chance it could be something you could get used to over time?

Man, the eShop is running at snails pace right now. It's taking ages just to get the Splatoon testfire download going... Can't imagine this thing is going to run smoothly on Saturday at all, what with pretty much every single game-starved Wii U owner trying to connect and play simultaneously in the space of 1 hour.

All looking good to me. Kinda pissed that those additional mini-arcade games are locked to amiibo challenges though. As for the demo, is it only going to be playable at those specific times on Saturday? Didn't really catch what was going on there.

Hehehe. It's all good. I'd be happy with any of the games you mention there, the benefit of loving all of Nintendo's IP. I just hope they streamline the experience for the next AC. Don't want to be sitting through tons of repeated dialogue every time I visit the shop, or for everything to grind to a halt whenever someone visits your town. Hopefully they'll really expand on town customisation too, that was a great addition to New Leaf and has a lot of potential.

The most annoying thing about them is how they reckon everything is a secret and that they're discovering all this hidden stuff. Err... no. Anyone that's even remotely with it can clearly see everything that you're pointing out.
