Played my best match ever on this last night: :awesome: This also happened: ... still no trophy. Hopefully they fix it soon.

Pokemon Red, Blue & Yellow (3DS Virtual Console)
RedShell replied to Hero-of-Time's topic in Nintendo Gaming
Same, just replace coolest with cutest. Therefore my preferred Pokemon are things like: I generally stop them from evolving too, to keep 'em cute. Yeah... tend not to do so well in battles. -
@Hero\-of\-Time, how goes your progress with this? I'm at 14 hours played and currently on...

I saw a vid on YouTube where someone triggers airstrike and then chucks a load of bombs inside the bunker, that combination apparently works well too.Something's definitely not quite right with it (and the friend challenge trophy) though. Is it possible for trophies (or rather, how they unlock) to be modified via a patch?

So I understand that it's possible to renew a PS+ sub before it expires, and that the new one won't begin until the current one ends. But do you need to use that extend subscription button in the PS+ settings, or can you just enter a new code into the PS store?

I think it's pretty well balanced actually. I mean the tanks obviously have a strength advantage, but they are also much slower than the fast attack vehicles.A good F.A.V. player can definitely do well against tanks, providing they make effective use of that extra speed/maneuverability. I've spent the majority of time playing this game using the F.A.V., and have owned many tanks. Still can't get those bloody x3 kill or friend challenge bronze trophies though. At this rate I'll earn the final gold trophy (1000 kills) before getting either of those.

Name: God knows. Let's just pray it doesn't feature the word Wii at all. Graphical capability: Really doesn't matter. We've gone far beyond the point where this was an issue, it's 99% about the artistry now, and Nintendo have no problems in that department at all. Controller style: Traditional controller for the home console. Handheld to feature the same layout but with circle pads instead of analog sticks and a touch screen. Handheld can also be used as the controller (or secondary controller) for the home console to make use of the touchscreen. The gimmick: All games/services are stored and run on the home console, which can then be streamed to the handheld via Wi-Fi. Streetpass and gameplay data accumulated on the handheld can be synchronized either by cloud or local wireless when in proximity to the home console. So yeah, the home console will be the main system that is required to play, and the handheld will just be a nicer looking (and hopefully) much smaller Wii U GamePad, that is essentially useless without the home console, but everyone will want it anyway in order to play NX games on the go/toilet. Hard drive size: 500GB expandable by USB port. Launch lineup: Zelda (yeah, the Wii U game ), Super Mario 3D World 2 (with online co-op and playable Wario & Waluigi ) a new Animal Crossing, and a new Diddy Kong Racing or F-Zero. Why not ey? Let's go nuts. No. of Bundles available at launch: 2. One with the home console, controller and handheld device, and one with just the home console and controller. Price: £300 for the home console/handheld bundle, £200 for the home console only version. Release date: December 2016.

Yeah, my advice would be to wait until you've unlocked all of the driver upgrades before going for that one (at least that's what I would've done, if I could go back in time ) will speed up the process slightly. Very glitchy indeed. I've still not been able to obtain it, despite beating loads of challenges. Same here, I've got so many triple kills since I started playing this (you can clearly see the names appear at the same time on the right side of the screen) yet no trophy. There's only 2 locations per stage right? If so, the ones on the snow map are right in the center, and another accessed by a small bridge nearer the edge of the map. I got confused the other day with those stage weapons. Someone triggered fire of the ancients on the temple stage, but instead of taking cover inside the pyramid, I drove on top of it, expecting frostbite from the snow stage!

One of the tunes in this really reminds me of both: &: which is seriously weird.

Check out what happened in one of those games yesterday: The other player hit me with drive EMP (so I was a sitting duck) but then unintentionally sent me flying to safety with the collision! I like how bonkers the physics are in this game, adds an extra layer of crazy to the proceedings. :awesome:

Glad you got into it. Fun games tonight BTW.Was hilarious on that deathmatch when both of us were circling each other for ages, desperately trying to get the kill. Thanks for sending me those challenges too. I sent a couple your way as well, when the game gave me the option to. Weird how you can't manually do it.

I had a go at a simple (very simple ) traditional controller design. Basically just a fusion of the GCN and DS4 controllers: Analog on the left has an octagonal gate but the one on the right is round. Seeing as the right stick is camera control 99% of the time I figure that makes sense. Plus, something's got to be weird/different, so this is it. Full size D-Pad, rather than the mini one on the GCN pad. Decided to lose start and select (+/-) buttons, as they are pretty much pointless now. The home button should pause and provide quick access to options. Added a NFC reader in the center of the pad. Love 'em or hate 'em, amiibo ain't going anywhere. Top side of the pad would feature 4 shoulder buttons in the standard layout. 2 digital ones near the face and 2 analog with digital click directly underneath those, technically making it 6 buttons! So yeah, nothing too fancy, but I reckon this would work well, be familiar to most people and of course be comfortable to use.

I can't believe Hitmonlee & Hitmonchan aren't in this already! Surely they're no-brainers for this.

I'm actually loving this game. Sure, it doesn't exactly make a good first impression, and with only 4 maps and 2 vehicle types it is kind of basic, but it's also damn good fun once you get into it! And the railgun event that's going on this weekend is great. One shot kills at pretty much any distance! There's something so satisfying about pulling off a 180 degree handbrake turn and then insta-killing a player that was on your tail! :awesome: Or picking people off in midair!

Or preowned for £11.99!! Oh GAME.

Thanks for posting that. Only watched the first 4 stages so far, but have been amazed by the course designs and sheer skill of these players! This kind of stuff is just so much fun to watch (knew they were on to a winner at the Nintendo World Championships) and confirms that Super Mario Maker is going to live on for a very long time indeed.
-
Agreed. It did not take long at all for the GamePad to feel/look outdated. Nintendo are free to use my redesign if they like!: Before and after the diet: I think they should just refine the Wii U Pro Controller a bit for NX though.

If that was what enabled use of the capsule machines in front of the shop (pretty sure it was) then yeah, I did. Really? Sweet! :awesome:I wasn't even aware there were sequels.

Bringing this over from the gaming diary thread: Hopefully you're right about the post-game, because it seems like a waste of the game's mechanics otherwise. Having this pretty in-depth customization setup where you can modify not only the main parts of your robot, but its motherboard weapons, special moves etc... would be so cool, if it was actually needed at some point. Then there's the 3 different attack types and elemental damage thing, again completely pointless so far... I imagine this must be a lot of fun as a local multiplayer game though, building up your own little robot and then seeing how it stacks up against those of other players. Shame there's no online multiplayer.

Yeah, got it just after Christmas in the sales (12 quid). It's a bit of a weird one really, essentially Pokémon but with little robots. Presentation wise it has a slight Ni no Kuni vibe going on (although nowhere near that level of quality) and the story is absolutely atrocious (I'm actually ignoring that aspect completely now)! Battles are real-time affairs, but the gameplay has been very simple so far (about 10 hours in) and not very challenging at all. I was sucked in by the customization thing really, which had the potential to be very cool indeed but has so far been a bit underwhelming. Still kind of early days, but I wouldn't recommend it based on what I've currently played.

Credits rolled on my first "completed" game of 2016, it was of course Yakuza 5! :awesome: Think I've probably said more than enough about the game and why I like it so much already, but what I will say is that I hope more people give it (or the series in general) a try. Toshihiro Nagoshi (developer of awesome games such as Daytona USA, Super Monkey Ball and F-Zero GX!) is an absolute genius. And he and his team are doing fantastic work with the Yakuza series, which deserves way more recognition than it currently receives. It's a shame the HD collection of Yakuza 1+2 doesn't appear to be making its way over. Would've been great, especially for the Wii U which has obviously been in dire need of games. It didn't do so well in Japan, even after getting hyped by Iwata and Nagoshi in a SEGA exclusive Direct: but it would've filled a much needed gap in the US/European Wii U lineup (still could ) so I reckon it'd actually do better in the West. Oh well.

It's no wonder you found the game to be slow and bland then, if you weren't even playing it properly. Probably. Think a couple might be exclusive to private matches actually. Why were you trying to avoid the trophies though? I thought you loved 'em?
-
It's nothing out of this world, but I quite like it. We're not talking Rocket League levels of fun, but it can still be a good laugh. You should definitely at least try it. The first car and the tanks are pretty slow, but the 2nd car is much faster.Speaking of trophies, this game looks like a really easy (albeit time-consuming) Platinum. Within a few minutes of starting the game I'd already earned a few trophies, including a gold. Not sure how you managed to avoid getting any at all!

24 of the 63 games I completed this year were PS+ titles! Including the sensational Yakuza 4! :awesome: (I've said it before, but that game alone was worth the 32 quid I paid for my subscription ).Was hugely skeptical of PS+ initially, but it really is a great service. Need to keep an eye out for any deals in January so I can renew for 2016! Yeah, quality thread. Cheers again, nekunando. : peace:
