I got it from Rakuten, using some super points and a discount voucher. Best price for it now is probably still Amazon (which is where I was going to get it originally) as they have the Day One Edition for £18: http://www.amazon.co.uk/Dragon-Quest-Heroes-World-Blight/dp/B00YXW21UI/ref=sr_1_1?s=videogames&ie=UTF8&qid=1453561462&sr=1-1&keywords=dragon+quest+heroes+ps4

I'm loving the voice acting in this, they've got a fantastic range of accents going on. Every time a new character appears I look forward to hearing how they'll speak. The Cockney weapon shop guy is hilarious "Be lucky!" Was pretty amusing to hear a Scouser at one point too. I usually switch to Japanese audio whenever the option is available, but I definitely won't be doing that with this game. As for the gameplay, early days yet but it seems pretty fun. Finding it a bit tricky to focus on those gate keeping enemies, I always seem to end up behind them, despite the lock-on. But other than that it's all good. Action packed and very smooth. :awesome:

Really enjoyed last night's beta test. It's a shame the servers went a bit wonky halfway through, as I was absolutely captivated by what I was seeing and hearing. I am completely in love with the presentation of this game! Some pics I took: Dat lighting! Seriously, TTC features the most impressive lighting I've ever seen in a video game! It's just astonishing how good it can look, but more importantly it really enhances the feel of the game. There were times when I was inside some of the island structures, surrounded by the glow of the lantern (in areas that would otherwise be pitch-black) digging away and exploring, yet the feeling of tranquility was just incredible. Don't think I've ever felt so relaxed while playing a game before! There were moments in Journey that produced a similar effect, but what I experienced in TTC was something else entirely. Can definitely see this becoming my go-to chill out game. Of course there's also some action to be enjoyed, if you go looking for it... or not, as this vid shows: I did encounter a few issues last night though, one where I got stuck in the digging animation (and had to restart the software) and a few occasions where the screen would go black (that also happened when I tried to join @Hero\-of\-Time, what did you make of it? I'm going to assume it's not really you're cup of tea, but you never know.

Because you didn't read the bit that said "BIG spoiler! End of Chapter 5"? Sorry though. How far into it have you got?
-
Slowly but surely I'm getting back into this. Although Lyn's affinity quest...
-
No, I hear ya. It's difficult for us old farts to abandon tradition. Although I'm more likely to just go without and wait for that unlikely bargain on the physical copy.
-
Indeed. Are you taking advantage of this deal?

Bloodborne GOTY Edition is going for £25 on PSN at the moment. Was really tempted, but I just got Dragon Quest Heroes, and ideally want to avoid digital versions of retail games. Not sure if the disc version will ever drop as low as that though, hmm...

Should've joined us in the N-E League, you could've got screwed over many more times! Seriously, it was insane last night.

Do people reckon we'll see some kind of goodwill gesture from Nintendo to those of us that purchased a Wii U? Like perhaps a slightly reduced NX system price, or another 3DS ambassador type thing? Not necessarily saying they should do something like this, or that I expect it (although I obviously wouldn't complain ), just curious.

Played the demo... It seems like they've not really changed or improved anything from the first game! Got a kick out of playing as Kiryu and Majima from Yakuza, but their inclusion in this is no where near enough to make me endure the same monotony as PxZ again.

I finally have this game now, managed to get hold of the Day One Edition for just 16 quid! :awesome: Hope I enjoy it as much as everyone else on here did.

It's essentially a surreal sandbox. And while it is online, other players are not always visible to you, only when they perform certain actions. Those that want to know more about the game before tonight's session should check out this vid: I'm really looking forward to seeing TTC in an uncompressed form for the first time, it's such an incredible looking game. :awesome: Just hoping the gameplay clicks for me, as I'm already well and truly sold on the look, concept and vibe of the game.

That was one of the craziest MK8 League nights in quite some time I think.
-
Cheers dude, I did get a code after all though. It's 7 to 10pm tomorrow, right?
-
Anyone get an invite for the Beta test? I wasn't going to apply (thinking it could potentially lessen my enjoyment of the final game) but when they announced on twitter that they needed more European players to balance the numbers, I did anyway. Not that it made a difference, as I didn't get a code.

Finished Little Battlers eXperience on 3DS, but I remain disappointed with this game. It had the potential to be awesome, but so many elements of the gameplay go underutilised. Other than on a handful of occasions, I had no need whatsoever to customise my LBX, or consider attack types or tactics. I assume the gameplay was intentionally dumbed-down with its younger target audience in mind, but it's a shame as I really like the concept of LBX. I think online play would've made a big difference though, so if we ever do get the sequels over here I'll probably check them out. Also played through PS+ freebie, Hardware: Rivals on PS4. It's a game that definitely needed slightly more development time as it's quite rough around the edges, but the fundamentals are pretty much spot-on I reckon. Once you get used to how it plays, and providing you can find (and manage to stay in) a busy match, the game is actually a lot of fun. I'll certainly be keeping it installed and checking out any new content in the future.

Fucking finally!: @Hero\-of\-Time, I had to remove you guys from my friend list to reset the challenges, have re-sent requests to both of you though.
-
I hadn't seen that, no.Cheers for the heads up. *EDIT* Seems like a winner: http://www.nintendolife.com/reviews/3ds-eshop/radiohammer Will be checking it out for sure!
-
Yep. Think I'm also getting more connection problems now than before too. Currently at 963 kills, so the platinum is in sight. Or at least it would be, if the bloody challenge trophy would pop already! *EDIT* 1000 kills GET... Trophy list 98% complete. Grrrrr!

Had to be Baby Park to end the night, ey? Classic!

So damn cute! I'm surprised they didn't make a new wave of amiibo based on this look. Also quite glad they didn't though, as those would've been really hard to resist.

Yeah, I'm in! : peace:
