Tokyo Jungle is one of my favourite PS3 games, absolutely love it. Wasn't too keen on some of the later chapters in story mode, but survival mode is legendary. Reaching 100+ years on that is so intense! Glad to hear you're enjoying it. BTW, there were rumors of a PS4 sequel going around a while back, here's hoping it'll happen. Anyway, I finished Binary Domain the other day. Super cheesy and action packed stuff, so I really enjoyed it but performance issues let it down a lot. Man, the frame rate would often hit single figures! If ever a game needed remastering on current gen platforms, it be this one. Would love to play it at 1080p/60fps. Also had a marathon session on Transformers: Devastation over the weekend, where I went through the story with the rest of the Autobots. Including Grimlock, who I will never use again! Yeah, his dino mode is annoying as hell, and you have to tap circle to dash, which actually messes up some of the context sensitive actions. Tell you what though, this is an incredibly fun game to replay/speed run. I also finished a playthrough on Commander difficulty last night, and completed all of the challenge missions. Just some collectibles left to find and a few of the no damage silver trophies to get and I'll be 1 away from the platinum. It's highly unlikely that I'll be able to SS Rank the entire game on commander, but will give it a go. Had I played this game last year it would've easily made my top 10. Phenomenal game.

Highlight vid is on the way, will hopefully be done before Thursday. In the meantime, here's this week's theme:

And the US. Seriously messed up how the European version has always been in stingy mode (compared to the other regions) until this update. Anyway, I'm still playing this on a daily basis, although I miss a few here and there due to being forgetful. Nabbed some of the MK8 DLC badges today though.

Wii U saved! http://www.nintendolife.com/reviews/wiiu-eshop/steel_rivals

Isn't it essentially a light version of Tomodachi Life? The idea of indirect communication and discovering things that you may not have known about your friends via this app is pretty interesting I reckon.

Loving how its now possible to see failure points in sub areas with the latest update. I'd designed quite a few courses where the main gameplay is in sub areas, so it's great to finally be able to see that information. Uploaded a course which uses the new locked doors/pink coin system: You must have JavaScript enabled on your device to view Miiverse posts that have been embedded in a website. A couple more games to add to my diary, first up is Transformers: Devastation. So happy I finally got around to picking this up, absolutely loved it! Man, the flashbacks to my childhood while playing this game... They seriously nailed the look and feel of old-school Transformers. The game is actually a super linear and pretty short experience (took me about 6 hours to finish) but Platinum's flair for OTT action and impeccable combat gameplay, combined with the awesome presentation and 80's vibes make this a masterpiece for me. Complete nostalgia overload, I just couldn't stop smiling. Also, dat credits sequence:

Fantastic work on the highlight vid, @Dcubed Was a nice treat for me to watch a highlight vid without having to edit it beforehand. And man, that ending was quality.

You're right, it is. And I would've been all over it... 3 years ago. But now, with only a handful of games (if that) left for me to look forward to, there's very little incentive to upgrade from the standard XL. If Nintendo weren't going to be so greedy with the SNES VC I'd be slightly more compelled to get a N3DS, but they are, so I'm not.

Yeah, long playtimes + cramped control layout/small screen = bad times.Although your "claws" should've been better prepared from Monster Hunting on PSP.
-
The whole way through that Monster Hunter segment in the Direct I was like "now reveal the Wii U version!" needless to say, I was left disappointed. Really don't think I can face another MH game on a handheld though.

Unless my eyes are playing tricks on me (quite possible ) Kirby's expression is identical in that new amiibo to the Smash Bros. version.
-
I don't mind them, when they work. Actually think Wii Motion Plus made gyro controls worse though. Skyward Sword was a goddamn nightmare to play through because of all the re-calibration I had to do, was a similar story with tennis on Wii Sports Club. And before anyone says "ooh dodgy Wii Remote" no, just no. Tested both games with multiple remotes, they all did the same thing. Meanwhile, I found games that just used the standard Wii Remote worked much better. The original tennis on Wii Sports, MK Wii (I had 100% Wii Wheel usage on that! ), Kororinpa, Wii Music, etc... Dabbled with the motion controls in Splatoon, but always found myself having to reset the neutral position of the camera when using them, so just ended up playing with the twin stick setup.

*dribbles uncontrollably* Man, that would've been perfection if they left the labels off the face buttons, or at least changed them to match the SNES/Famicom font. But yeah, even this can't tempt me to buy a N3DS... I think... I hope.

Thought it was a pretty good direct overall, with the highlights for me being the new SMM content and a Euro release of Rhythm Tengoku 3DS. Shibata's Yo-Kai Watch dance was entertaining too. SNES VC on 3DS would've been a megaton IF it included the original hardware, and the games were cross-buy (or at least discounted) if you already purchased them before. As it stands... meh.
-
Be a shame if that is the case.Doesn't really look like my kind of thing gameplay-wise, but the presentation is indeed glorious. Also, does anyone else see a Chocobo in that logo?
-
This actually looks more interesting to me than SF Zero. I'm interested in seeing just how intricate the stage creation aspect is, get a feeling it's gonna be pretty basic though.

Yeah, Triple Deluxe was amazing, and this looks very promising also. Not sure about the new amiibo though, but then I don't really like this idea of characters that have already got amiibo figures being released again just in a slightly different pose. I've already got a Kirby amiibo, I don't want a second one just because he's got a new hat warp star. I'm not Smithers.
-
Duuuuuuude. Actually, I'm not as hyped for this as I once was, seeing as it's only 30 new stages. Will be awesome for those that haven't played any of the previous games through.

Loving the additions this is getting next week. [tweet]705516120493662209[/tweet] The new coins in particular, are the kind of thing I really wanted them to add. BTW, I made a new course on this recently (first one in a loooong time) and uploaded it last night just before the Direct: Apologies for the terrible name You must have JavaScript enabled on your device to view Miiverse posts that have been embedded in a website.
