Hehehe! Team Spring Man here. This realy is like the Splatfest of Arms though, hope they plan to do them often. BTW, I noticed there are way more rare targets appearing in the warm up section of the lobby now. Guessing it’s just for the duration of this event, but I’ve been making sure to “warm up” as much as possible. Even unlocked a new badge for getting 10+ rare targets. *EDIT* Up to level 21, calling it a day there. Reaching 30 before Friday should be pretty straightforward though, especially with those x3 matches.

I believe you get the badges of the character you used the most during the event. Had a few games earlier too, it’s pretty good. The one hit K.O. and unlimited rush attack games are crazy! I also like how it changes up the lobby and sound effects to be really hyper.

I’m actually loving this. Yes it’s grindy and all that, but for me the charm of Animal Crossing is definitely present. The gameplay has obviously been heavily simplified for mobile, but I still enjoy catching bugs and fishing (even though you really can’t go wrong ) and it’s just nice to have some kind of new AC experience readily available at all times. Not sure how long it’ll hold my attention for, but right now I’m hooked!

Connection is pretty unstable on this, must be a lot of people trying to play. The fact that pretty much everything you do requires sending data online blatantly doesn’t help. Not sure why Nintendo had to go soooooo OTT with that, I understand it for anything using leaf tickets (obviously), but for everything else it’s just overkill. Finished Wonder Boy today: Loved how the credits... No doubt it’s a lovely little game, but I think it is massively overpriced at the standard price of £18! Glad I waited for it to go on sale before picking it up, that’s for sure. Also, they’re nuts to try and sell this now as a £40 retail title!

It can’t be worse than amiibo Festival, surely?

Indeed. Never played 2 on 2 before but it’s clear that you need very different tactics. On one of those splat zone games me and Glen-i were in control of the splat zone early on, so I went and completely inked the area around your spawn point to slow you down from respawn. Problem was neither myself or Glen-i were able to get a single splat from that point on, while you and DuD were splatting us loads... we lost the lead and the game without my defensive strategy ever coming into play. Chance of that happening in 4 v 4 is pretty much zero. But yeah, combat in Splatoon is definitely not my strong point, I tend to do much better in Turf War as a result.

Some great games there everyone! Cheers. We should totally organise more Splatoon sessions in the future.

Hmm... Not sure about the Hori digital pad with this game actually. Having attack on Y (or Select ) feels a bit weird with the GCN button layout. But the D-Pad is sooooo good.

Bowser Jr and that vehicle combo somehow make it even funnier than usual.
