  1. The game has sold 3 million units in the US since its release (11 days!), making it the fastest-selling game on Switch.
  2. I'm going to the cinema tonight to watch Into the Spiderverse. I'm looking very much forward to that even though I'm a bit rusty in the Spider-verse. Mainly my knowledge about it comes from the animated series from the 90s and then a little from the comics.
  3. Netflix has just added another episode to Sabrina - chapter 11. Still haven't progressed and might need to restart to watch it through.
  4. Same here in Denmark, it's completely sold out which sucks as I would like it as well.
  5. My experience is that using a ticket on the final boss is only an option if you start the fight at 9.9. It won't ever go beyond 9.8 if you use tickets.
  6. I'm finding it a bit difficult to see if something has been taken by me or not on the map. The icons are both very small and don't really tell if I've taken the item. Had a glitch under water where I couldn't get out of a jet stream. Had to restart but didn't lose anything as the game saves often. Got through the Volcano area and the area after that. Now I'm searching for the entrance to the next area but don't have time to play for the time being. I think I'm at about 10 hours. Is there somewhere to see the completion percentage?
  7. So they nerf the weaker fighters instead of downgrading the strong ones - King K. Rool is still viable for Classic 9.9 it seems. However, glad I did this yesterday so that I don't have to worry about something like that.
  8. Took a break and succeeded after a few more tries. Had to spend a ticket though, as got caught by the boss a few hits before he was done for.
  9. Nah, I don't think Switch will see a Mario Kart 9. Can't see it offering something that 8 doesn't offer at the moment so it will be a hard sell. If, however, MK9 were to debut on a new console, people would have to buy it there in order to actually play an MK game.
  10. Tried 9.9 but only ever got to 9.8.. Guess it doesn't work if you use a ticket on the final boss. Ridley was really causing trouble with me, he counters everything I've got.
  11. Did they? Totally forgot and thus, it seems that Nintendo and I think alike. Hence, DLC in February is almost a given... I'd expect something for Mario Kart 8 due to the rumours earlier. Odyssey is also likely, it takes time to come up with a new kingdom after all. No remake is getting DLC, and then we have games like Super Mario Party and ARMS left. My money is on the former two, though.
  12. Aaaand... you're further than me. No surprise as I haven't had time to play over the past three days. I'm only three quarters through the Volcano and I agree, it's certainly a step up in difficulty - it's not too much, though.
  13. Aquaman is out today (at least here in Denmark) and is receiving mixed reviews. The dialogue is supposed to be ... bad... and the actors aren't convincing. However, it currently holds a score of 8.2 based on 6,000 submissions on IMDb while the Metacritic score is 53. Guess it's (unsurprisingly) one of those movies that you have to see in order to judge properly - like well, every movie...
  14. Given how little we've seen from Fire Emblem Three Houses, I doubt it'll be ready in February or March. Perhaps May or June. I believe we'll see DLC for some major games instead of a new game in February. Yoshi is probably a March or April release.
  15. You can always go back so there's no need to start a new file. There is also in-game tools for finding some stuff.
  16. I had serious trouble with figuring out how to defeat that boss after the first part...
  17. Sonic Mania is half the price on the eShop. But you are right. I'm just saying that the average consumer doesn't know that and doesn't see it as that.
  18. Pretty much it, yeah. But you are right, it's an interesting thing. I think it's basically down to the feeling of value when buying something. With AAA you know why the game is expensive (or well, you think you do, it's probably mainly because of advertisement) but with indie games, especially if you don't do much research on the game, you can't possibly get your head around the expenses the developer had in order to develop the game, meaning that you don't understand why it's so expensive. Also, the free to play titles and cheap games on stores like App store and Steam as well as frequent sales kill the need to buy expensive games digitally. The last part is something I'm guilty of, I hate getting something not on sale, even though I've got the money.
  19. It is - for the physical edition. However, it's a lot to ask for for a digital only game. I'm not saying it's not worth it (it is!) but most people - myself included - would really think twice about buying a digital game this expensive.
  20. What's the reference there? It's truly a gem. So much care has been put into it, and it shows.
  21. So the pig game is out tomorrow and there is a new trailer for it: £14.99 on the eShop.
  22. So in reality, the only part of these shows to watch is the crossovers? I haven't watched a full crossover since the second or third season of Arrow. When they introduced Legends of Tomorrow and Supergirl, it just got too many shows to watch.
  23. There's a patch incoming and it will render your replays invalid. If you want to save them, convert them to video in the Replay menu. Hmm. Maybe this will change King K. Rool so one should probably try to do those challenges with him in case they nerf him. Problem is, I haven't played this since launch day because I haven't had the TV to myself, and playing tabletop is not really the best way to play it. (However, Monster Boy is splendid and has kept me busy so that's fine.)
  24. Another poster for the Sonic movie: Not only is Sonic fast, he has a really fast camera as well.
  25. You can use the new GameCube controller for Switch games so that argument doesn't hold. I have made the transition to the Pro Controller for this Smash Bros. purely because of convenience. It's easier to play the game with the standard controller for the system. However, it took some time to get used to the new controller and I had to remap the buttons to match the GameCube controller. It's a lot about muscle memory that isn't easily overwritten. One problem with the Pro Controller is that the right stick is a bit too close to the buttons, meaning that I accidentally hit the stick when trying to pull off a special move (Y).
