  1. I've played quite a few more games than I would have, if I wasn't able to find them cheaper somewhere. Not because I can't afford the games at "full price" (which is relative to the country you live in and thus not possible to refer to) but because at lower prices I'm more willing to take a risk. Denmark is among the most expensive countries to buy games in (look at savecoins.me - Denmark is always towards the bottom of the list). Norway is cheaper and I sometimes buy from there - which doesn't make sense at all since Norway in general has more expensive goods than Denmark and equivalent paychecks. It's not because I have tons of games on my iPad (I don't, I generally don't want to spend anything on apps on that device), it's simply because the games are unreasonably expensive and I'm not willing to risk wasting my money on something I don't know if I want to play. More and better demos would be a way to take away the uncertainty but most of the interesting games don't get one, or it's very bad (mostly set in the beginning of game where things aren't really that fun). Regarding bigger games like Nintendo's own, well, they are just priced too high and I want to save the money because I can and it's easy. Making it more cumbersome would make less people inclined to do so. I also buy stuff from Germany if it is less expensive. My Pro Controller is from Amazon Germany where it was 25 % cheaper. They delivered about two days later than a local retailer could. Why shouldn't I buy it from there?
  2. Hah, yeah. I know about that. But you may want to update your job search preferences - press the suitcase in the bottom right corner (if you are on mobile) and enter "Career wishes" or something like that (it's been translated for me so don't know the exact wording on the English version). You may have some default setting that shows you as interested in hearing more.
  3. Nothing. But most people won't do that, I think. Also, they could implement one country of residence per Switch - I have two accounts, one from Denmark, one from South Africa, both on the same Switch. Seems a bit weird? Or base the country on the geographical location of the profile when it's logged onto My Nintendo (I haven't found where you set the country on the Switch itself - can you do that?). If you want to "cheat", you do it no matter what. But if it's a bit more troublesome and not an instant process, many will not see it as worth it and thus drop it.
  4. They could have just tied your country of residence to one country and allowing you to access an eShop of another region but shop at your local prices. If you move country, you could apply for a change. I don't think many people move around that often so it would be much of a burden on Nintendo to accept the request.
  5. I think publishers set their own prices on the eShop, which is why it's Nintendo only -they were the only ones that cared, and for good reason. I essentially got the season pass for Smash Bros. for free by buying it off the Southafrican eShop.
  6. Prices on the South African eShop are going up tomorrow.
  7. Finished YOU last night, and while I think the overall premise was good, the show was one or two episodes too long (i.e. stuff dragged out and felt slow, and nothing really happened a lot of the time). The acting from especially Joe was great but I don't think that alone can carry another season, and I think they should rather just have ended it in season one rather than carry on. Oh well, probably won't watch the second season when it comes. Now what to watch? Want to finish A Series of Unfortunate Events but my wife fell asleep during an episode in season 2 and we haven't restarted that one yet. It's been a while. Then there is The Flash season 4 (I'll avoid Arrow season 6 altogether) and Titans, will probably try to convince her to watch Titans with me. Also, Daredevil season 3 is still unwatched and I really want to see that. I also want to finish Sabrina although that's not high on the list. We watch Brooklyn Nine Nine in between shows but Netflix only has four seasons and we have just watched the halloween episode in season 4 (great stuff). Finally, there are some movies we have yet to watch. I really miss her weekly night shift.
  8. Wife wanted to watch YOU, so I accepted (it's much better when she suggests a show to watch - she doesn't fall asleep during the episodes and actually wants to continue it..). It's alright, it's intriguing but a bit slow, the episodes feel a bit too long. It's not so long, though, so will probably endure:
  9. Spiderman Far From Home trailer! https://youtu.be/VUFmhKpZKlE
  10. Since this post I've come quite far with a few of them. Removed all those I got enough candy for and it doesn't seem so bad now. Still some Pokémon are not available but once they are there, I'm ready for them. Now, Lickitung will be hard, and I still need some of the new babies, including Riolu.
  11. In my experience, speed was the main factor. Taking no damage would work as well but that was bloody hard sp that's only a bonus. Also, don't use tickets. If you die, you start over.
  12. I think GameBoy emulation is way more likely than GameCube at this point. 3DS runs GameBoy-games so there is already an emulator out there, and due to the portability, it makes sense for Switch to receive these as well. The other emulator must be N64. It could also point at new classic consoles after all, even though Nintendo previously said that they don't have plans for that.
  13. Titans is now on Netflix Is it worth watching?
  14. April 15th is the release of Season 8!
  15. Release date is April 16th. And Final Fantasy XII Zodiac Age is out April 30th.
  16. Dragon's Lair Trilogy is out January 17th on eShop
  17. Yeah, the reveal of Yoshi, Kirby (8th March) and Dragon's Dogma really tells that a Direct is not coming, though they wanted it to. Such a shame - it didn't need to have a whole lot of information, but some new trailers and new release windows along with perhaps a new game or two would be sufficient for me. Just something new to look forward to.
  18. Well. Bye bye January Direct... but good to see that the game is finally coming out.
  19. Yeah, I've been envying that for quite some time but I don't have the space for something like that. We're currently looking for buying a house and we stumbled across one that had a fully equipped home gym / crossfit gym in the shed. That was... I was so close to saying yes!
  20. IMDb is terrible when it comes to reviewing TV-shows as people just rate the entire show based on the first couple of episodes. So... is there a better place to view user reviews of TV-shows? I want to know if A Discovery of Witches is worth watching in its entirety.
  21. I don't recall seeing it on sale since its release. And the main game is not that meaty, it can be completed in a couple of hours. (Reply number 1000!)
